Is there any crime drama/forensics show that you recommend? With investigations into crimes that give you great insight into forensic investigations and how people get caught, educational and also make you feel on edge of seat.
Something nostalgic that you'd watch late at night, maybe based in Miami like Dexter with similar nostalgic dark vibes and dramatic, yet also very educational.
Does this kind of show/movie exist? If so, what do you recommend?

There are a ton of british crime series/mini series out there. Not sure if it`s your thing.
thank you. sounds interesting and I will look now. :)
Most murder investigations aren't that forensic desu, people expect it because of shows like CSI making it seem that way, but murderers usually get caught because of witnesses, or telling lies that the investigator can disprove because they've interviewed enough people to build up a timeline of events. Real life is more Midsomer Murders than Dexter, and that's what I'd recommend. If you want something educational, try true crime documentaries like Fred Dinenage: Murder Casebook.
excellent. I will give this Midsommer Murders a go. Sounds like it could be what im after.
I felt Dexter was good because it gave some education information on blood spatter analysis, but was also quite a good drama show. Had the dark and nostalgic vibes too with him in his apartment alone in Miami. CSI seems to be more on the technical educational side, but im happy to sacrifice some of that to get a good balance on education and drama.
If that makes sense
Good man, make sure you start at the beginning, the earliest episodes are the best because they're adaptations of the Caroline Graham detective novels, though the show was rock solid for the entire John Nettles era (81 episodes over 13 seasons, all ~90 minutes long each). It always makes me very nostalgic for the English countryside life I grew up with, and the contrast between the cheery picturesque exterior at the start of the episodes devolving into its dark underbelly really sucks you in.
Hannibal
There’s a british docuseries called 24 hours in police custody if you want the real deal. It’s pretty interesting and follows real police detectives.

Sounds like exactly the kind of buzz im looking for. Cant wait to give it a go now
one of my favourite movies of all time.
Thanks. I have a few shows to watch now much appreciated.
>one of my favourite movies of all time.
Top taste lad, I always thought Hannibal was underrated. But he was probably referring to the TV series with Mads, which is great too, it's very graphic which was quite unique for a detective show.
OP again.
Although Dexter gets a bit stale story wise after the 3rd season in my opinion, are any of you fond on the show? I Love the intro, the intro music, him cooking the eggs. The way he walks down his apartment hallway in Miami, good looking guy somewhat quirky, and a killer, has hot step sister etc. Hiding the blood samples in his air conditioner. Man that show brings me a lot of nostalgic cosy feels with a hint of darkness.
So the series is good too? Cause im kind of turned away from most Netflix and other new shows/movies as desu i just feel its so POZZED and infected with a leftist multicultural agenda it just distracts and takes away from a consistent production. Thats maybe why im now going for something with more substance, like series/movies that have educational crime forensics mixed with story and relationships. They tend to be more mature and not interested in making a constant political statement.
I like that Swedish? main actor from the hannibal series so that alone makes it worth checking out.
I absolutely loved Dexter. It’s a very well written show with a great cast. The internal dialogue is also great. I did however lose interest in the last couple of seasons.
A Touch of Cloth
Yeah it's really good, and it's not that new, it ran from 2013 to 2015 on NBC and it was made by the Dino de Laurentis Company who did the movies too, there's definitely no political stuff in it. It mostly follows Will Graham and his relationship with Hannibal while the background is the investigations of murders, some of which Hannibal committed.
It is a bit gay though, Bryan Fuller made it and there's homosexual undertones in Will and Hannibal's relationships, though neither of them are gayers.
>It is a bit gay though, Bryan Fuller made it and there's homosexual undertones in Will and Hannibal's relationships, though neither of them are gayers.
Well thanks for the heads up. If its just a bit of LGBT propaganda but otherwise a solid show id be willing to compromise. I just hate shit that tries to make women seem constantly empowered and semi hostile to male characters, who when white are portrayed as nasty and insecure and the blacks as heroic who always score the girl. that is nearly every youtube and netflix creation i feel and I just want to escape the blatant propaganda.
Im going to check out this Hannibal series. Because i watched all the movies, and wanted more. and for the universe to continue on in a series that pulls it off well? That would be a beauty
>undertones
It's straight up gay romance nigga.
kek'd
From what I remember season 1 was fantastic, but season 2 was fairly mediocre.
Mads always steals the show though.
And god damn that gore, straight up nightmare fuel some of it.
shit that reminds, i forgot about the fact i watched all of breaking bad. Gorey, some educational forensics in there (about drug making mostly) drama, some comedy like dexter, based in sunny california like dexter in sunny Miami. Was a good show and definitely nostalgic feels.
I wish there were more shows like this.
If i can binge the first season of Hannibal and enjoy it, id be grateful m8
It isn't though, both Will and Hannibal are only attracted to women - specifically Alana - Hannibal just has a strange interest in Will because of his unique psychological disorders which he uses to manipulate Will for shits and giggles.
I think you'll enjoy it then, as I mentioned above they're both given 'a case of the not-gays' but their relationship is a very strange one, kind of machiavellian. The only actually gay couple in the show I can recall is massively dysfunctional, a psychopath and a mentally ill enabler, Hannibal despises both of them. The other characters aren't much better to be fair, all the characters are very flawed in quite a realistic manner regardless of race or gender.
I'd say they're both great, it's season 3 where it starts falling apart because they got cancelled and they had to cram so much story into such a small period of time. The season 2 finale is one of the best episodes of television ever made, but yeah season 1 is really incredible, I liked the show a lot more when it was so laser focused on the criminal investigation stuff, season 2 is a lot more drama orientated (though the investigation stuff is still there, naturally).
The season 2 finale is one of the best episodes of television ever made,
im copy pasting this thread into a word document so i can siphon through it and watch all this recommended content when ive got some time to blow.
Many thanks sir.

user, what are you planning..
>It isn't though, both Will and Hannibal are only attracted to women - specifically Alana - Hannibal just has a strange interest in Will because of his unique psychological disorders which he uses to manipulate Will for shits and giggles.
Come on. Hannibal and Will love eachother, this is canon in the show. Loving eachother doesn't necessarily mean they want to fuck eachother in the ass.
lol. im from New Zealand so dont worry. Man that Hannibal actor (Swedish?) seems like the perfect fit for Hannibal. Does the show show him cooking people or show info on his recipes etc? That would be cool
Homicide: Life on the Street probably had the most realistic investigations on tv.
>Loving eachother doesn't necessarily mean they want to fuck eachother in the ass.
good point. Tbh i feel i could love another male as a friend who id want to protect and miss etc, which is definitely loosely as "love" right? but that doesnt mean id develop a sexual desire to FUCK him or be FUCKED by a dude. just like loving your siblings doesnt connect to sexual desire mentally speaking. its the degenerate kike media that constantly implies if you have any feelings for someone to care about them strongly, that means you should get shit on your dick.
It's cooking kino desu, and sometimes really effectively played for dark comedy, like they investigators will wonder aloud 'why would the killer remove their kidneys' then cut to Hannibal cooking
He's a danish actor named Mads Mikkelsen. Yeah it's very stylised and there's some really pretty clips of him making cannibal meals. He basically spends 2 full seasons of the show secretly feeding people, people while making cannibal puns in their face.
It's kino
>that video
>that explanation about dark humour cooking hannibal
FUCK you did it m8. this is what i was describing and needed. thank you Yea Forums
give me 5 minutes I want to make a clip of the best scene in episode 1

well, there goes most of my life for the next few days/weeks. Its epitomy of what i was describing in my OP. Thanks man
Forensic Files
they go all into the forensics
cheers bud
Exactly right. I've had best mates that I grew up with and our relationship could be described as love. In my view love has absolutely nothing to do with sex.
I hate all the fags that watch this show who think the fact they love eachother means Will and Hannibal are fucking, and on the other end I hate the fags who are in denial about 2 men caring deeply about eachother. It's a low IQ view and isn't respecting the characters.
Will even says this line right there in episode ONE when talking with Jack, and I think it foreshadows his relationship with Hannibal:
>Jack: "You think he (a serial killer) loves these girls?"
>Will: "He loves one of them. A-And yes, I think by association he has some form of love for the others.
>Jack: "There was no semen, there was no saliva. Elise Nichols died a virgin. She stayed that way"
>Will: "That's not how he's loving them. He wouldn't disrespect them that way!"
>I hate all the fags that watch this show who think the fact they love eachother means Will and Hannibal are fucking, and on the other end I hate the fags who are in denial about 2 men caring deeply about eachother. It's a low IQ view and isn't respecting the characters.
Strongly agree. You can have a sibling like love for someone of the same sex, and have zero sexual desire for them. People who are insecure or confused about their heterosexuality will reject this kind of love-like kinship out of fear of being gay.
everything is so overly sexualized that caring for a man as your best friend, even hugging him means you want to have your ass fucked by him. Its such a ridiculous leap and damaging to a healthy mateship
t. Butt Pirates in denial
its true though man.
Just like how Italian men huge each other and even give a kiss on the cheek when they meet as a sign of high respect. In Murica that would be considered 'lol thats gay duuude"
*hug
Yeah, I'm thinking this OP is based.
you basically asked for dexter or a dexter clone? you cant be so specific you will never find your retrofuture A E S T H E T I C noire miami show retard
>retrofuture
literally nobody in this thread or the OP has mentioned "retrofuture". You just wanted to say that word to sound smart? Even though it has zero relevance to the thread.
Nothing wrong with fucking your buddies in the ass. I do it all the time and I’m not even gay!
