red dead was stolen from a game on gamecube / ps2 called "gun" that was basically gta with cowboys.
it was also good, though a product of it's time. loading screens to go to another area for instance. it even had the same red dead slow down vision shooting mechanic. makes me think the game shared devs.
it was superior to red dead in that it had no out of place virtue signalling.
