Let’s change that. What are some of your favorites from back in the day?

Your pic and the Graduate are both great films from the same cinematographer (I think)

I just checked and they’re both different dudes

>watch old movie
>it's slow and nothing happens until maybe the last 10 minutes

Why did people like being bored back then?

Obvious bait, but 2 things
1. What you said isn’t always true. There are plenty of old movies that are exciting throughout
2. Even if they start slow, there’s a thing called suspense, and it can lead to a satisfying payoff.

Man, Col. Carter looks pissed at Richard Burton.

Literally 1 or 2 good scenes. The rest is a snooze fest.

Same director

Adam's Rib. 1949
Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn.
One of my favorites. Hopefully the sjw failures don't try to Fuck it up with a modern version. But itll probably happen and the genders will be swoped and the main characters will be from Africa or south America

Maybe it just went over your head.

Didn't care for it.

>The Fifth Seal
Do you mean the Seventh Seal or is this an actual thing?

I've seen Virginia Woolf a dozen times and I still don't get it. When George Segal says 'my god I understand' ... UNDERSTAND WHAT?!

No, I meant The Fifth Seal [1976] directed by Zoltan Fabri. One of the greatest Hungarian films of all time and much, much better than The Seventh Seal.

Virginia woolf is absolute kino and blows the office's dinner party cringe tfo

That they didn't have a son. You watched it a dozen times and didn't get that? Are you retarded?

>As Martha begs George not to "kill" their son, Nick suddenly realizes the truth: Martha and George had never been able to have children, and filled the void with an imaginary son.

It's not particularly hard.

The drunken arguments between Burton and Taylor in the film feel so authentic. Probably because they were doing the same thing every day in real life

who are you quoting?

whoa there champ. where can i watch this 5nd seal

the performances are what really elevate this film to kino levels

The first time I watched this, it was late at night. I think that really helped with enjoyment of the film. Also I don’t know why, but after finishing it, I went to bed really horny for some reason.

Congratulations, you have a c*ck fetish.

I think it had more to do with the fact that late night, everyone is asleep, meaning you can live out your wildest desires, and no one will know

I watch it pretty much every time it comes on TCM

Keep telling yourself that.
