What does Yea Forums think about the upcoming remake?

The CGI technology is available to make this into a masterpiece. But can he do it?

I have high hopes. I know I shouldn't.

it's not a question of can they
it's a question of will they
like most modern movies, this will be boiled down and sold off piece by piece until it's something the studio thinks will make money from the uncaring general public
and by then, it will no longer be art

He can. But it will propably flop.

What will be Villeneuve's biggest obstacle. For me, it's portraying the inner monologues. Has anyone here actually read the books? I just finished re-reading the first one. I read all the Brian Herbert stuff when I was younger.

Attached: 1529160839221.jpg (1080x1299, 204K)

As long as Eamon Farren is cast as Feyd Rautha it'll be excellent

>But can he do it?
Of course. In Villeneuve we trust.

In the past few months I read book 1-8 and skipped all the side stuff. All the narration/inner monologues are definitely problematic.

I hope they do some serious CGI enhancing and/or makeup on Stellan Skarsgård to make the Baron look like he's supposed to.

Baron Harkonen looks like ThAT?

Attached: 1529160839221.jpg (1210x521, 748K)

Who should play Thufir Hawat?

Attached: 1529160839221.jpg (600x360, 212K)

Let me know when you want advice on becoming an oracle

that would be ideal

I'm about 150 pages into the book but I can't really get into it. Does it get better?

I'm glad he's splitting it into 2 movies. I think the hardest part will be Gurney Halleck's baliset scenes. It's important to his character development, but it will be a hard sell as a movie scene.

How old were you when you realized House Corrino did nothing wrong?

Attached: bf0c7798060b82a5e473a1d0629a6f88.png (875x658, 618K)

Definitely slows down after Paul and Jessica flee into the desert. Well worth it to stick it out to the end though.

Should the casting be more diverse?

Attached: house_corrino_by_wlouisdesign_dcnngob-fullview.png (900x657, 1.16M)

I trust in the Ville. Is he going to adapt only the first book, or are we going to see some Edic and Scytale?

Depends on what you're looking for. The politics and the world-building only get better from there.

Attached: 1478654993627.jpg (500x679, 174K)

I really like Horus Heresy novels, would Dune be something I will enjoy reading? If yes, are there any books I should skip?

Attached: 1478655056682.jpg (500x672, 229K)

I don't remember anyone in the book being described as black. Dark or tanned, but not black.

Does the book get better?

There's nothing wrong with the book.
You're the one with the problem. Stick to Michael Bay movies.

Look at this baby face. Just his little cute face makes Dune a masterpiece.

Attached: 918_640.jpg (640x720, 159K)

But they're not described as not black, right?

Which Dune books are worth reading?

So, how big will be the SJW outcry once this gets released?

What's a favorite part of the Dune books you have that you'd like to see in the films?

I like when Thufir is meeting with the Fremen the day after the Harkonnen/Corrino attack, and the Fremen leader tells Thufir he's impressed with the Sardaukar because they were able to kill three Fremen.

Considering Denis is the best director working right now, yes he can do it as long as the studio doesn't interfere

Just read all the ones Frank wrote and skip Brians.

The main ones are the important ones.

Here's your Feyd Rautha.

Attached: 220px-2018-05-12-_Cannes-L'acteur_Michael_B._Jordan-2721_(42075892224).jpg (220x284, 15K)

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to present the Fremen as so extremely overpowered in the films. That scene would work great if the emphasis was on that one Fremen suicide crashing into a Sardaukar carryall without the slightest hesitation, killing an entire battalion by himself.

are you kidding me

Read 1, if you liked it read 2-4 (4 being the best), if you can't get enough read 5-6.
Never read anything by Brian Herbert.

Dune finished filming and a Feyd cast wasn't announced so there's no Feyd in part 1.

what the fuck is this horseshit fucking image from?

Dune is feudal turkey in space and there are no blacks in feudal turkey unless they're slaves with their dick and balls chopped off

The biggest hurdle is that the first book sucks ass. Children of dune is much better. God emperor is the best. The first book is fine up till the end of the first act, and then has awful pacing and the ending felt very rushed. So having a solid plot structure is the number one challenge.

Why would there be one?

>first book sucks ass. Children of dune is much better. God emperor is the best.
How can anyone be so wrong?

Fremen is pretty much intergalactic Islam and Paul is a white man becoming their god. They will either complain about the misogyny or the "cultural appropriation".

Did you even read the fucking book? Everyone's intergalactic islam, the fremen are just zen-shia instead of zen-sunni like everyone else.

My favorite part of the book was when Feyd killed Duncan Idaho in the slave pit. They better not omit that.

Jesus christ. Yea Forums surprises me every day. I thought I found the stupidest person in the world yesterday but then I saw this post and you took the crown.

>the fremen are just zen-shia instead of zen-sunni like everyone else.
What the fuck, Fremen are direct descendants of zen-sunnis. There are no shias in Dune universe that are mentioned. The religious text of the Imperium is Orange Catholic Bible, which is a mixture of psychoanalytic, islam, and buddhism.

supposedly, this is leading into its own series

>when Feyd killed Duncan Idaho in the slave pit
That wasn't Duncan you mongo. That was just a well trained Atreides soldier.

>tfw most of the Atreides army fell back into the caves for a last stand and were buried alive by the artillery

always found that incredibly tragic

Attached: mentat.jpg (1200x510, 96K)

My bad but still everyone's space buddhist muslim which was my point. I think the tleilax are the weirdo religion. Zensufi or whatever.

you're joking right? Idaho obviously got captured during his last stand and they fed him to Feyd.

Yeah they're Zensunni and Sufi. I think they also kept the original Arabic alive and speak in it when they're among themselves.

After cloning the shit out of him

If you're not on board already then you probably won't get on with it. I found it a slog but I guess I'm too pleb to appreciate it. Started Book of the New Sun straight after and it's way better.

My dude Idaho got killed giving Paul and Jessica an escape, fending off Sardaukar.

Duncan dies fighting against the Sardaukar. There is nothing to indicate that the Atreides soldier Feyd kills is Duncan. Duncan even in the later books remembers his death at the hands of the Sardaukar. You got a nice headcanon, but it's complete nonsense.

Feyd has one appearance in the first half where he's pretty passive considering he's only observing Baron and Piter go back and forth. If they also hired an unknown, him not being announced would not be that surprising.

Did they really got rid of the dick legs?

Attached: donkey.jpg (800x2178, 1.1M)

Is there a single piece of art that makes the half man half sand worm God Emperor not look like a fucking goof?

>and by then, it will no longer be art

they finished off writing the script in 2 months (meanwhile it took david lynch and jodorowsky 2,3 years minimum to come up with a decent script

this should tell you this movie will suck

source? the script will literally make or break the film, so i hope this is just a rumour.

Who will this movie be aimed at. When I was a child in the early 90s this book was brought as a childrens book. But I feel like this movie is aimed at adults somehow.

Will they make it grimdark or something?

>Book is a children's book
uhhhhh?

I'd bet $10 most people here read this book between the ages of 8-12.

they will want to capture as large of an audience as possible. it will have SJW elements and BLM elements as well. They may even turn Maud'Dib into a transgender messiah

I have no idea where you live that Dune is considered a children's book but, and i don't know if having such a place is good thing or bad.

No source because user is lying.

Post gom jabbars.

Everybody point and laugh at this clueless faggot.

I read the first book years ago and the prequels about the Butlerian Jihad more recently (very good books)

Eric Roth was hired to co-write the screenplay in April,[13] and Jon Spaihts was later confirmed to be co-writing the script alongside Roth and Villeneuve.[14] Villeneuve said in May 2018 that the first draft of the script had been finished.[

In July 2018, Brian Herbert confirmed that the latest draft of the screenplay covered "approximately half of the novel Dune.

1984 is middle-school mandatory literature and features graphic sex scenes. So that wouldn't surprise me.

They are literally referred to as the Zensunni Wanderers ffs.

>and features graphic sex scenes
You get an F, you bluffer. See me after class.

Girl literally talks about her anal adventures and how she fucked 60 year old men as a teenager. It's straight up fetishism.

The guy who made that game is a legend.

Movie started filming this year- latest draft doesn't mean is the final draft.

I don't throw my full hopes behind any film adaptation of anything, but knowing the talent both behind and in front of the camera I'm cautiously optimistic.

jesus christ black people are so annoying

His biggest obstacle is making a movie the majority of the American film going public want to see and like rather than making something that's good. You can be a Michelin chef, but the American people are like retarded 8 year old children. You prepare some exquisite artisan multi-course meal and they throw it off the table and shout "PIZZA! HOT DOG! MACARONI AND CHEESE!" and then begin banging on the table with their fists. You're skilled, but your audience doesn't ask for skill and all your effort is laying on the floor forgotten while your audience sings Lion King songs and dunks their Iron Man toy in their food.

Same exact thing happened with BR2049. It tanked in braindead capeshit markets like America and China, did well in Europe.
It literally made more money in Germany than all of China.

The only way Villeneuve could feasibily do that is if he tried to cash in on the GoT audience by putting sandworms as the next CGI ebin creature and put Paul quipping Marvel style for the entire movie.
It sounds disgusting, but it's the only way

You never really watched a Villeneuve film before, have you? He doesn't really care about making a lot of money. I'm actually surprised he got greenlit on adapting Dune since it'll very likely bomb at the box office.

I thought the sandworms would be a big draw and they could market them like 2014 Godzilla with sandstorms concealing them and brief lighting flashes giving you brief looks at their outlines but then KotM didn't perform incredibly well so now even more doubtful the worms will be a big draw.

Sandworms are a metaphor for the penis. Spice is basically cum. The spice must flow means that you must cum a lot. Spice expands consciousness means you must make lots of little blue eyed babies. Dune is based.

>A white family that moves into sandnigger planet to take over colonize and exploit their culture (that was made up by crazy sex assassin matriarchs) so they can be used to set the galaxy on the "right path" and create a chosen one (male)

His biggest obstacle is that Dune is too deep and multi-layered to ever be a decent movie, let alone a good one. Not everything needs to be adapted to the screen.

Mine is as well, it has the most emotional depth out of all.

There were these really good Dune series(main arc) audiobooks on youtube but they got taken down and I can't find them anywere else.

Can someone help me pls I was halfway into Messiah, the audiobooks had sound effects and each character had a different voice actor.

This, let's be honest, from a commercial standpoint he can't make 2 big flops, especially with a two parter, or he will never be given anything big anymore or with control.

PS: Lion King's remake success makes me weep for humanity, I can be okay with Transformers movie but not that one.

Children of Dune is better written admittedly, much easier to digest, but the story is worse.
God Emperor is controversial.

Well, Herbert described Dune as a story of a boy who goes through puberty to become a man, the sandworm is a quite literal representation of a wild masculinity that Paul has to learn to tame.

>What does Yea Forums think about the upcoming remake?

I have faith that villeneuve will do his best but I can’t see it being easy adapting that much inner monologue

Would it not be possible to have certain characters confide in the people close to them and show it as dialogue? Paul to Jessica. Leto to Jessica and Halleck. The emperor to fenring. The Barron to Piter. And so on. This is how Herbert does it the book. It wouldn't take too much reworking.

Maybe just don't show those things because they aren't actually important to the plot?

They're important for character/world building.

Isn't all life on another planet considered to be aliens?
Later books mention something that there's no other intelligent life as we know it in the universe, but there exists alien intelligence beyond our comprehension.

Then most of the film would just be people sitting around talking to each other about a bunch of shit that secondaries won't understand due to the sci-fantasy/arab lingo, instead of action sequences for the plebs.

...

>tfw no Jessica mommy
>tfw no Alia loliwife

That's as far as I've got.

I always liked the scene where Thufir and the Baron were together in the Baron's office and Thufir is giving him legit good advice. Just such a weird moment where one of the heroes has become a punch clock employee of the main villain. Thufir's internal monologue showing how he's rationalizing his new life as a Harkonnen retainer were pretty good too and showed how deep the ties of loyalty went in House Atreides, because you can't imagine a Harkonnen guy in the reverse situation having anywhere near the same misgivings. It makes you realize why the emperor feared the duke so much.

I disliked the scene where the Fremen wipe out the Sardaukar and are impressed that the Sardaukar got a few hits in before dying. It always felt wrong to me that the Fremen should be so amazing at fighting, to the point they completely eclipse highly trained elite supersoldiers who spend their lives practicing hand-to-hand combat, just because they duel each other a lot. I think the Fremen's advantage should come more from understanding their environment and using it against enemies who, for all their skill and resources, just don't "get" the desert. This would be more realistic and also go a long way towards making the Fremen seem like proper underdogs. The book has them so good at fighting that the imperials never stood a chance, which is bad for setting up drama and tension.

Clint eastwood would be perfect

thing is you an incel from 4 chan don't have to like it. this has to appeal to the general audience to make money. most of the film will be shirtless chalamet scenes or chalamet in tight outfits. promo will be a huge thing with chalamet giving love glances to bardem and isaac , like he did with his gay movie. he'll beard with zendaya for publicity. this movie is not for the fans of the book, just look at the casting with capeshit actors and zendaya.

I literally didn't understand a thing you said, but you seem angry so I suggest you go for a walk outside.

Sure, let's just retcon everything from characters' sexual orientation to the actual religions and cultures which play a huge role in the Dune books, they're not important to the plot after all.

I really want to see Leto putting on the sandtrout, and then running along the dunes to tire himself out, poor darling.

something about the reverend mother in the 1984 Dune makes me so hard. I can't even describe it, I finished the movie without giving her a second thought but when she came to my head in the shower that night I just couldn't help but pop a boner because of how hot I suddenly realized she was. anyone else feel this way?

Correct, Baron Harkonnen's sexuality is not important to the plot. I'm glad we can agree.

I'm pretty sure the Baron was exclusively homosexual. Except, y'know. That ONE time.

Very Paul Atreides here

They're specifically described as not black.

The book says that Princess Irulan is a green-eyed blonde, and Emperor Shaddam IV is a ginger.

Oh but the other thing I mentioned, that you initially said wasn't important to the plot, is important to the plot after all? Glad you've changed your mind.

Also, the Baron's sexuality is actually kind of important since it is later revealed that Jessica is his daughter, which is unexpected since that he's gay. But let's just accept your premise and say it isn't important. Shouldn't we in that case also not make him fat in order not to fat shame? Let's remove everything that is unique about these characters just in case somebody is offended, right?

Chalamet requested the worms to be replaced by huge cocks. He's an expert dong rider.

>ginger
Rip, black man incoming.

I just want to see a version of Dune that doesn't omit Count Fenring.

this except with my mom

>Inverse traps.
Progressive, it broke new ground!

>It's important for him to be gay to show that he actually has sex with women

Attached: 1325659283650.jpg (397x396, 16K)

If we're talking all the books it's probably Duncan free climbing the massive fucking wall in God emperor and giving Nayla a literal orgasm over how manly he is doing it.

Other than that, for the first book I'd pick this:

>can have a green eyed blonde princess
>go for a smelly sand nigger that drinks her own piss
What a retard

The subplot about Jessica being the baron's daughter isn't valuable because it's an unexpected twist. It has about as much impact in Dune as Charlize Theron being revealed to be Weyland's daughter had in Prometheus(ie very little). It's important only because of how it ends up affecting Alia much later on in Children of Dune.

I suspect his sexuality won't be changed though, because Hollywood has reached the point where they are actually comfortable with gay villains as long as their gayness is incidental to their villainy rather than a reason they're evil. Also this villain is more of a predatory pedo than a "normal" gay guy, and can be plausibly made to not fit inside the LGBT umbrella on those grounds.

>lazy greentext reply ignoring what I said because he thinks the villain being gay is 'problematic'

Debicki for Princess Irulan.

Attached: file.jpg (550x825, 76K)

What the fuck is this? Frank Herbert would lose his mind if this shit was in his time

Too old for Chalamet. I'd go for Sydney Sweeney

Attached: 740full-sydney-sweeney.jpg (740x1109, 106K)

Why would Paul possibly trust the Imperial princess after overthrowing her father's dynasty? She'd have probably killed him in his sleep at the behest of the Spacing Guild and the Bene Gesserit.

Plus, he fell in love with his sandnigger waifu when they were both teenagers and they lost their virginity to each other.

Isn't Paul in his mid-20's when he first meet Irulan? Debicki is 28.

Irulan was always older than Paul.

I'd love to see the banquet scene done in a movie, or the Drunken Duncan and Thufir/Jessica scene.
If they include Feyd's birthday gladiator fight, I REALLY hope they keep the focus on Fenring and the Baron. Just some quick cuts back to the fight, but mostly the grownups talking.
My real dream is for the opening scene of GEoD. Just 4 people running through the woods at night, tear-assing through a forest, escaping while being chased by giant wolves. They get picked off one by one until the last one makes it to the river.

Gwendoline Christie for Nayla. All the way.

>it's only important because of how it ends up affecting Alia
>and Ghanima
>and Leto II
>it's only a major plot point

Sandworms are fucking alien.

If overdone, yes that could be too slow. It's quite a slow thing in its nature. Things brew. Perhaps preface an action scene with a couple of allies offering wisdom and specific advice. And a debriefing of sorts after the event.

The whole reasoning behind Fremen being OP (and even Sardaukar to a lesser extent) is that survival on a harsh planet bests any normal training on a comfy world. Dune is the most intense planet and the Fremen have conquered it, honing their bodies perfectly and building strong discipline.

Sweeney is better looking and can look older with makeup.

>sandworms are the most important thing in the universe
>no aliens
nigga the fuck is wrong with you?

Murbella vs young Duncan's genital combat

>implying we'll ever get that far into the series
If they even get to God Emperor of Dune, I'd be shocked.

God Emperor Leto crushing one of the Duncans

Who is playing Feyd?

I'm just saying his sexuality isn't important to that particular plotline, because the plotline still works even if he's straight and would even work if he was a known playboy and all the characters assumed he had shitloads of secret illegitimate children running around. Jessica's parentage doesn't need to be played as a dramatic twist in the first book because the real reason it's there is to set up character development in the sequels.

I get that is the reasoning, but it's wrong. Living in a harsh environment does not make you better at combat than quality training. It does make for cultures that are more inclined towards martial pursuits, but that only takes you so far by itself.

For things like the liturgy against fear, why not have Paul see again his early lessons as as flashback in the middle of the action. It would exemplify his ability to step out of the moment and time.

I want them to say the whole fear mindkiller thing out loud and look at the camera each time while they do.

I don't see what's wrong m8.

He's some martial artist obsessed with
>muh training
and he won't ever give in.

>Living in a harsh environment does not make you better at combat than quality training
How many battles in history have been won against better equipped/trained/sized opponents simply due to a better knowledge of the environment around them?

Uniformed severe bald matures every time. Alien3 comes to mind.

In the new film he won't be ginger.

He won't be ginger.

Debicki looks like Sweeney's tranny co-star in Euphoria.
Sweeney has a feminine petite body with huge tits, great ass and a feminine face. She's perfect.

>live whole life in harsh desert world, only the most fit survive
Fine. You and Herbert both overestimate how much impact this actually has, but I can let it slide.
>additionally oppressed by the Harkonnens, fighters gain experience in guerilla warfare
>adaptation to the environment gives them additional combat advantage
Yes, and setting up the ambush and generally being such a huge pain in the ass to the Sardaukar shows they used these advantages to the fullest. I just don't buy that they'd be so lopsidedly awesome at hand-to-hand combat specifically. All their other advantages I can buy.

That's exactly what I'm saying Fremen should be shown as doing. In the books they do that, but in addition they are also just demigods at swordplay even though all soldiers in this setting obsessively train at blade and knife fighting. It's the one area where the Sardaukar should have parity with the Fremen.

And really my point isn't to harp on karate autism, it's to point out that giving too many advantages to the protagonists removes tension from the plot and makes it less climactic when the good guys win. If the Fremen use their knowledge of the terrain, mental and physical toughness from living on Arrakis, etc. to help them outwit and outmaneuver a stronger enemy, that's great. If they are just supersaiyan knife fighters who effortlessly style on the villains every time they encounter them, that's lame.

Oh boy, another franchise that Yea Forums will not comprehend and complain is SJW garbage. Wow. So important.

Don't you faggots ever get bored?

of course not, or you wouldn't be retards. Just be quiet and go back to voting Republican. That will make your life make sense!

Stop lying faggot. The book is intriguing from the start.

The biggest problem with the Dune series is that every book is just endless buildup and 4D chess and every time the climax underwhelms.

Hereditary play such a big part of these tales.

>being this much of a pleb

I don't think it's as lopsided as you think. If I remember correctly it's the very same Fremen who said the line about surprise at them being able to hit Fremen at all who ends up dying to a Sardaukar surprising him with a thrown knife which impales his throat.

Phew, someone finally said it.
Ok, guys, we can stop pretending now.

Courtly alliances. Many such cases.

Rutger

isnt the gom jabbar just the little finger needle they all have. the test box is a test box.

That too would be an acceptable reason to break the fourth wall.

No tits, no ass, masculine face. It's the tranny from Euphoria.

You are not wrong, but I'd have to admit that the build up is pretty great.

Normally I would expect it to be a pile of shit, however Villeneuve delivers kino and has full creative control so I have hopes it will be top kino.

Unless you're going to make an argument for the Mongolian Deathworm, please tell me where I can find some sandworms.

They're that awesome because the Sardaukar are trained in shield combat, while the Fremen are used to fighting without shields.

Remember that shields can't be uses on Arrakis without the worms causing issues.

My biggest worry is that this will eclipse Lynch's version as the definitive adaptation in population imagination. Lynch's Dune is so quotable and so delightfully eccentric I just couldn't bear to see another Dune take its place, even if the new one ends up being objectively better as a movie.

Ridley Scott wanted Paul to fuck his mom in his unproduced version.

Based Ridley
Maybe he was behind behind the dune

Warwick davis

Technically this is the best sex scene in all of literature

I'm not too reassured about the casting so far and I kind of feel that Villeneuve doesn't have the guts to make weird enough visually as it needs to be and may resort to generic, tame, scifi stuff
while it's a shit movie in many ways Lynch had the drive to do some weird visuals, even the miniseries did it to the best of its ability

>I get that is the reasoning, but it's wrong. Living in a harsh environment does not make you better at combat than quality training. It does make for cultures that are more inclined towards martial pursuits, but that only takes you so far by itself.
Nah mate, it makes plenty of sense as laid out in the story. Dune is the harshest planet possible, Fremen survive there and adapt to it. They fight themselves constantly, and fight the harkonnens constantly. The Sardaukar are literally the exact same thing only lesser and without the same drive as the fremen.

Shame we never got the original ending to see if it ever lived up to the hype.

technically I think Whipping Star/ConSentiency is or was as Herbert may have changed his mind, in the future of the Dune series where there is other alien intelligences
I may be wrong altogether but I vaguely remember reading about it years ago

It's worth mentioning that the Sardaukar of that age had degenerated from what they once were.

Attached: 1481974448470.jpg (1013x761, 226K)

that's in guerilla warfare
their attack on Arrakeen is open warfare, while they had the sandworms and the element of surprise and while I understand the Sardaukar had become lax and overconfident without a proper fight in a long time I feel as though 1v1 a Sardaukar would beat the shit out of a dehydrated desert rat
it's in ambushing, coming out of the desert unseen and moving quietly that the Fremen would've excelled

the funny thing is that GRRM is going to repeat this
and maybe, in a way, it's planned as there's no way to live up to that buildup and give a proper climax and conclusion

I think the Sci-Fi miniseries is better than anything hollywood could make today.

the miniseries is the definitive version as it keeps to the source material way better
the weirding module? are you fucking kidding me?

Shields man. Shields are what everyone except Fremen are used to having when they fight. You can see this in Paul's duel with that Fremen, he has a hard time winning because his instincts make him move the blade slowly.

I really didn't think the actor for Paul in that was a good choice and I hated how rarely the Fremen characters wore stillsuits but other than that yeah
it's even more surprising that the Messiah/Children of Dune sequel that most people forget exists was decent

But we’ve seen GRRM’s true ending user
Or at least some extended glimpses of it
People have pieced together how it will work out in the books

Messiah is definitely the easiest to digest. It's the favorite of plebs. it's my favorite

Messiah is the most passed over of any of the books though
in the direct sequels to Dune most people seem to prefer Children

Reminder that the story will be changed quite a bit since there's a significant plot point in the book that involves women being inferior to men.

>Messiah is the most passed over of any of the books though
I misspoke overall it's really Heretics
BUT out of the original three, Messiah is overlooked the most

PAUL WILL BE KEKED LIKE ALL OTHER MALE HEROES

so did the prescient memories only go to point of conception?
or is it not really quite genetic at all but rather some metaphysical thing?

I'm optimistic, it sounds great so far.
That said i think it will bomb hard. Normies could give a fuck about Dune, and it will seem far too complicated for them to give a shit about. And the parts that they do enjoy they'll think are ripped off from properties that were inspired by Dune.
Kind of like if there was an actual decent adaptation of princess of mars (john carter doesn't count), it would seem like a re-tread even tho it wasn't.

>The man who could go where we could not
>Well, actually... we COULD go there. We just don't want to, sweetie :)

Currently rewatching Deadwood and Brad Dourif would unironically work and be a fun callback.

>>Well, actually... we COULD go there. We just don't want to, sweetie :)
you jest but I do worry that this is exactly what'll happen

Gurm is going to keel over with a heart attack any fucking day, no way is he going to manage another 2-3 books lmao.

the next one, the Winds of Winter, will probably be released
there's no way in hell the last one will be

Why? Nobody's sad when Peter Jackson's trilogy eclipsed Ralph Bakshi's.

Paul, Ghanima, and Leto II had memories of both the male and female sides of their ancestry. They remembered the male side up to the point of the ejaculation that made them. They remembered the female side from their conception.

his hands and face are much smaller according to the book

Isn't he still a child, also?

i've only read the first book.
why does he turn into a worm?
i guess i could wikipedia it, maybe i should do that instead.

Because Golden Path

Also cause Herbert wanted to work dildos into his story.

Leto has no dick, though. He's a literal cuck.

Brolin Will be in that movie?
If true now i have a bit of hope (not for his acting skills)
