At least his mother is hot

it's strongly suggested he's gay

No one in ST has had character development. I'd count Steve but that's just a never ending justing.

That kid has a very punchable face when his character is supposed to be a timid introvert kid

>innocent child
>gets molested by ayylium
>becomes a repressed faggot who just wants to regress into childhood
sounds like character development to me

being gay is not a character

Muh DnD

The irony is that he's the only straight actor of the bunch, while Finn is the gayest.

What are you talking about? They gave him a superpower and let him use it for the entirety of season three.
Neck hair tingling.

Pretty sure they only casted that kid to be a victim that dissappears for the majority of the show.

It's almost as if the writers didn't plan more than one season. Crazy, I know.

Not anymore. His DnD set got picked up by the new main character of the show.

Attached: 73w6upptk8l11.jpg (1440x1195, 139K)

I don’t believe it
Finn seems pretty much asexual to me
That kid is definitely a fag

It is for Netflix

The actor couldn’t express any emotion other than crying like a spaz

He's the best actor in the kids group though. Granted that's not exactly difficult.

In what fucking universe are those things mutually exclusive

>experiences severe trauma and loses childhood
>just wants to go back to the good old times of childhood
>this is received by the twitter/hiv community as "hes gay"
i fucking hate you ""people""

Attached: yuck.gif (395x281, 83K)

>best kid actor in the show relegated to meme background role

What character development did any of the main 4 boys undergo during season 3?

Mike learned that lying to women is inexcusable.
L learned that fuck men.

>dustin is ignored
>will is ignored
>lucas is wingman
>mike is an evil white male for not wanting el to use her powers to death
st is balancing far too many deadend characters at this point

...while introducing MORE dead-end characters.

>its not my fault you dont like girls!
What did Mike man by this?

>>mike is an evil white male for not wanting el to use her powers to death
I didnt understand they the fuck that retarded ginger haired bitch tried to villianise Mike for simply caring for the girl he loved and not wanting her to die

Attached: 1459706413288.gif (320x213, 1.3M)

Because trying to not make her use her powers bc she’s the only girl you can get, when she’s literally the only one that can stop the monster from taking over the planet is selfish and retarded

seasons
>>almost zero character development
>
>What did they mean by this?
They meant that he's basically stayed the same person while his friends were getting gfs and losing interest in d&d, which led to his outburst in the 3rd season. Now he is going to start lifting and become Chad.

Exactly what I was thinking, I noticed a pattern in the show of this awful "just blindly trust me" argument the writers kept repeating, (with Joyce and Hopper too) just like with Nancy basically made Jonathan unemployed because of her ego chasing, it was celebrated in the show that he just blindly trusted her and it was okay because she was right about the rat story.
Same with ginger and El, ginger forced el to use powers and mike was told "just blindly trust El's ability to not kill herself with power!" "you must be just a sexist who doesnt have faith in her if you want her to be safe!" and the show makes him the bad guy and celebrates this blind trust because it works out, but what message is that? what if Nancy was wrong, Jonathan became poorer and El reached her power limit and died? The writers went off the fucking deep end in this season when you start looking into all the terrible messages.

She wasnt the only one to stop the monster, Joyce killed it in the end and what was the point of arming up if they were solely relying on El? No, there were always other options and for some reason Mike caring about El was a bad thing

>I can make the hairs in my neck stand up

Even shooting spaghetti from your hands is better

Yeah after I actually watched it I was pretty angry at how retarded people are. People dont understand context because they have goldfish brains.

>strongly suggested
that's not character development, that's speculation fuel
also this
"not interested in girls" doesn't necessary mean he is interested in boys, Will could just be hoping to have the childhood he missed

>this is received by the twitter/hiv community as "hes gay"
He was literally pitched as a gay and they've been baiting it for a while now.

The thing about the show is that they are pandering to the audience that loves that shit. It is why Steve is being developed the way he is and why Robin was included.

This is one of the cases where that might actually be valid because the writers want that audience to continue to tune in but don't want to tackle the issues it would present.

He had character development this season when he gave up his childhood stuff.
Also he's been through more shit and knows more about the mind flayer than anyone except maybe Eleven.

Mike had his love thing with El
Dustin got a gf, had his little arc with him feeling neglected by his friends, and made friends with Erica
Will grew out of his childhood things
Lucas didn't do a lot, but had some character development between seasons and became the most experienced with girls

>PRACTICALLY zero
>Hey, I can name ONE change across all 3 seasons!

That's not a counterargument

i know someone that just started watching it and thinks will dies at the end of season 1.

he asked me if Will is gay, because of the was they talk to him in the show.

its like people genuinely dont remember unironically saying
>girls are gross
when they were kids.

>zero character development
>muh Dwungeons and Dwagons
pick one

It's almost as if they had to write other seasons than the first themselves!

Yeah I think this is one of the reasons. By never thought they’ll need that kid more than one season so they just hired whoever jewish producer’s nephew
I was honestly surprised by how bad he was this seson, I thought we were gonna see more from him

His character is one of the most based in the series along with Steve, Dustin and Billy. He just wants to play DnD.

I think it's mostly the writers who had no idea how to use him properly.

I liked the 1st season, 2nd was meh but I made it to the end, 3rd one I can't be half-assed to start watching. Are my instincts correct?

You could really tell that after season 1 they didn't know what to do with him. They hired him to look scared and unconscious, not be a main character.

They really need to do more with him in S4

Attached: tumblr_pualb1LyXs1wce7keo1_1280.jpg (856x1280, 266K)

After having been stuck in reverse evil place for two seasons he should have been the one with the spying powers, but Eleven the Lesbo needed to do all the cool shit.

Well 3 is better than 2, so no.

Saying 3 is better than 2 isn't an endorsement of 3, but yeah. If you can get through 2, you can get through 3. I'm not sure I can stand whatever they're going to do in season 4. I think this may be the last season I can endure.

You are both unironically gayer than men who suck dicks. It's a gay character, stop sperging out you faggot polacks or better yet, don't watch a show you dislike? don't enter a thread you'll dislike? you're as bad as fundamentalist christians

To be fair the old one with any decent amount of character development was Steve.

it shouldve just been a 1 season show but money
>You are both unironically gayer than men who suck dicks
I dont think so tranny, no matter how many of your hiv infected friends want him to be gay its still up in the air, I have good reason to complain that a complex and interesting character is reduced to faggotry, you on the other hand are just hoping for it so it will make you feel better about your worthless life

Except he's not gay you faggot

I don't watch this show, but let me guess... The white boy is presented as weak and retarded and gets pushed around by the Jewish, black and mexican boys.

Close. Definitely some intersectional hierarchy going on here.

Little black girl always right and in charge.
Little white girl always right.
...
Mike always wrong.

Yet the fat white cop is a badass?

The jewish boy is the weakest kid of the group and is also gay for the charismatic handsome white boy

>also gay for the charismatic handsome white boy
billy?

"SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY BOY!!!"

Attached: stranger-things-Winona-Ryder1.jpg (1020x574, 81K)

There is no proof or even indication that Will is a homosexual.

"you dont like girls"

then will has a shocked face cuz mike knows his secret. its obvious

I agree. On the other hand, Netflix. It's a matter of time.

Only because he's fighting guys whiter than him.

no its not

>pitched
In the original Montauk pitch that is true, but a lot has changed in the creation of the series - that pitch had him wearing bright flamboyant clothes, do you see that in the series?
It also had Lucas parents divorcing - seen that?
It had an edgy conspiracy theorist projector at the local cinema - where is this character hmmmm?
So in summary a lot has changed from the pitch.
>they've been baiting it for a while
[citation needed]

>if a bully calls you a name that means you are what they call you
so does that mean my crotch is on fire?
(red hair=fire crotch, kids say the darndest things!)

>season 1

spends whole season trapped in the upside down. unable to escape from his little hiding place due to fear of death. no contact with anyone.

>season 2

literally fucking possessed.

>season 3

character is so durped by trauma he can not even function like the other boys in his own group. he really is the weirdo among weirdos now, an ultimate classification of loser that will have brutal consequences on his social life.

There you go.

>its a gay character
>and there is nothing in the material that supports this

in the original Montauk pitch it was conceived as a single self contained miniseries, not multiple seasons - the pitch did include the possibility of picking up the story in the 1990s with the kids grown up, like in It

Based retard, literally how are you this fucking dumb. Tiny implications that a character is gay is not significant development

So? It seems more like a childish thing to say. Teasing him because he's a late bloomer. He has never in the show shown interest in men.

that's called kids being insulting

With all these shit that happened to him he should be an interesting character by now, but no he still has zero personality and character development.

Netflix Writer 1: It feels like we've been ignoring the main four characters. People are saying they're underdeveloped.

Netflix Writer 2: I know, let's add more characters to the show and develop them!

Netflix Writer 1: How will that help?

Netflix Writer 2: Help?

>has no girlfriend
>suggested he's gay

Noah looks like he's about to shapeshift into some kind of evil goblin creature anytime

Attached: EAHu_3yW4AM5tdA.jpg (2048x1536, 484K)

he was an interesting character in season 2. seems like the writers don't have any clue what to do with their characters. Will's only purpose this season was to alert the audience that something bad was about to happen very soon

Attached: spidey senses.jpg (3840x2160, 877K)

He's only badass in season 1. In season 2 he mostly just yells at El and jobs. By season 3, he is completely incompetent as both a parent and an action hero. He only beat the Russian like once out of four fights and didn't even double tap.

I wonder if he'll get eleven-like powers

>no gf by 13
wow whoa qboa he must be the gay

Is this post a fucking joke? Lol. What the absolute fuck?

It's not a "confirmed" thing but it is meant to be heavily implied, all the way throughout the series.

"They call him a fag" "Well is he?" "He's missing is what he is"

Seemed to have a good time with the girl at prom but it didn't seem like it was necessarily the biggest moment for him

"It's not my fault you don't like girls"

Of course it's supposed to be kind of muddied with the fact that they're children and he may not have fully discovered his sexuality yet but it is implied that he at least might not be fully straight and is more on the "queer" side.

>Will Byers, twelve, is a sweet, sensitive kid with sexual identity issues.
From the original pitch for Stranger Things

>Will with the Cute Girl, dancing awkwardly. But his eyes aren't on the cute girl. They are on Mike, who is dancing with Eleven.
From the original script for the Snow Ball

>Lonnie used to say he was queer. Called him a fag.
Joyce to Hopper after Will's original disappearance

>"Will's in fairyland now, right? Flying around with all the other little fairies, all happy and gay."
Bully from season one

>"It's not my fault you don't like girls."
Mike destroying Will in season three. The expression on Will's face says it all.

yeh, i think he's gay

>small
>skinny
Today this would be a dead giveaway

she hasnt aged great but not terribly i guess.

So he can shoot lasers into his boyfriend's asshole?

I was small and skinny, and my first gf was at 14. Even then I was embarrassed to tell my friends or family if I had a crush on someone for some reason.

I'd say Japanese porn powers. Given he's been tentacle raped twice.

He kicked the mayor's ass

So did Will's mom....for no reason.

Just one of many times Hopper was incompetent because he was leaning too hard on his 'tough cop' routine.

>no character development
What are you talking about? He's clearly an incel who is going to shoot up the Hawking's mall next season. His manifesto is going to be full of D&D references, LotR and it'd going to be a long rant about how all women are whores, even the quiet one in the back of the class.

Attached: Noah+Schnapp+Netflix+FYSee+Kick+Off+Party+hQKYRAm8kTul.jpg (403x600, 67K)

he looks like that ugly scrawny little kid who become a commie in his teenage years then a tranny in his 20s

Yikes, obsessed much. First it was blacked, but it seems this board is now obsessed with trannies.

Leaked Will and Mike kissing scene from a deleted scene

I'm a fag and he seems p gay to me. I know a lot of incels see themselves in him, awkward, detached, uninterested in girls for other reasons, but it can just as easily be me as a kid.

It's a shame it'll just be criticized as being shoehorned in if they eventually confirm it.

No that's just Finn kissing some random kid on street

Nah that's that shitty Goldfinch movie.

normally there'd still be room for debate even with that evidence, but then you have to remember IT'S NETFLIX WRITING THIS. if it COULD be homosexuality, IT IS.

Attached: 1368206239468.jpg (544x360, 49K)

God forbid we get a somewhat nuanced gay preteen that's not the entire point of his character!

mid80s pubescent banter is now taken as the gospel. Maybe Jesus should have done a Netfix show to spread his word.

Based.

They're clearly write Will as gay. Whether it ever becomes concretely proven in the show or ever becomes more important to his character than the fact he's probably got more PTSD issues than a Nam vet who saw his entire platoon incinerated is another matter.

Attached: Untitled.png (608x632, 67K)

No wonder Americans are having more and more sentimental issues these days, they are becoming more and more aggressive with the subtle depictions of sexuality everywhere, humans can't touch unless it is sexual, guy or girl is shy, must mean she is closet gay, somebody doesn't want to fuck, oh he sure is gay, are these two people close, well of course they are lovers, why is people with sexual worship these days?

Who this lucky fella?

if that anthology thing is true (that ST as a series was supposed to be an anthology and they only continued the hawkins storyline because it was so popular), then will was only ever supposed to be a plot device. they didn't map out too much of a personality for him because they didn't predict that they were gonna have to.

>user bemoans being called gay for being a shy nerd and takes it out on gay people

/pol/ is sad

Based

Yea... hes Jewish

Finn is CUTE btw

Attached: 1475544190923.png (760x493, 141K)

Is Finn gay in that movie or are they just hugging?

Um...this is Netflix.

The point is that if we're having this conversation, then that's already happened. Unless once he comes out he starts waving around dildos, they will have already achieved it.

But that's not how Yea Forums will see it. They'll dismiss all of this ambiguous shit and cry that the gayness is being shoehorned in after the fact. Mark my words

Yeah, he plays a gay drug addicted Ukarian-Russian goth child

I hope he can pull off the accent or that'll be quite cringy

BECAUSE THEY ARE KIDS!

What? The scene clearly implies Will in love with Mike and Mike in love with Eleven. Nearly every gay boy alive went through this situation in middle school.

I hope he and Eleven bond as brother-sister. Jonathan being the awesome big bro and most importantly they stay the fuck away from Illinois forever.

Oh, I thought its Mike and Will who locked their eyes.

When he put on that wizard outfit I knew he was a little homo

>youtu.be/rsaLUIeurZ8
Season 4 will have a Mike and Will body swapping storyline

Wow she's almost unrecognizable there. Kinda looks like Isabelle Adjani

Ahh, nah. Mike and Eleven

Some people just don't change much is not unrealistic

So to say in "It" (original novel) kids actually engaged in an orgy. Same happened in "Dune" - in a book kids participated in a spice-orgy in a sietch. Also in "Snowcrash" YT had sex with a big guy. YT was 15 though, too old, but outrages puritans today.
In Heilein's book "To sail beyond the sunset" he explored themes of incest and premarital sex in old America too. Main heroine was ~14, though at that time she was considered ready for marriage.

Today America more puritan that ever before!

Lame. We need Will and Eleven bodyswap. So Mike can make Will happy a little you know?

I know of two things that developed well
