Original trilogy

Spider-Man 3 sucks

Probably not the most popular choice but despite growing up with the Raimi trilogy, I prefer the MCU movies. Tom Holland is such a damn good Spidey I can't help it.

Spider-Man 2 was the better film but I would rather watch Into the Spider-Verse just for enjoyment sake.

I do not agree in the slightest but I respect your opinion.

Into the Spiderverse. Raimi's movies are also great
Never watched any of the MCU movies

Not as much as spiderverse

You're only saying that because the main character is black

Well I think we can all at least agree that Andrew Garfield was the worst in every regard.

Andrew Garfield could actually act, unlike Tobey

I both agree and disagree with you. You’re right that Holland is the best spider yet, or at least has the potential to be better than both Garfield and McGuire. Unfortunately, he’s held back by the mediocrity of his movies and by the sheer number of other Spider-Man movies that exist. Perhaps if Raimis movies hadn’t already closed off so many paths for spidey to take we would have gotten a better movie and this a better Spider-Man. Alas, ‘twas not to be.
I’m interested to hear your own thoughts on the matter of New Spideys movie quality.

Spider-Man PS4 is the best Spider-Man movie.

Andrew Garfield can act...but he was atrocious in Amazing Spider-Man. Absolutely embarrassing. And I don't blame him, I blame the director Webb.

Amazing Spiderman 2

>Both ASM flicks at 0%
Kek

hahahahahaha you're so funny user

INTO THE SPIDERVERSE

FADED AND WEARY

just fucking stop

The first one is better.

2002 > all

Why is this always a question with people? The Raimi movies are superior, both in the collective opinion and objectively. It's like people asking "what's the best star wars movie" Shit's always Empire or New Hope, always has been always will be.

>Spider-Man 1 has the best first act of the trilogy
>Spider-Man 2 has the best second act of the trilogy
>Spider-Man 3 has the best third act of the trilogy
Whoa.

>in every regard.
Tobey: Nerd spider-man
Garfield: Quippy Spider-Man
Holland: .....? Friendly Spider-Man?

The Human Spider

Because people (you included) conflate “best” with “favorite”. OP asked for favorite.
My favorite Star Wars movie is ROTJ even if the others are better.

>each consecutive picture after 2 is a visual decline

kek

I used to know a guy who saw ASM2 seven times in the theatre. The only decent thing about it is some of the swinging/action sequences and the unintentional comedy. Besides that it's a trainwreck

THE FIRST ONE BY SAMUEL RAIMI —I WAS TWELVE YEARS OF AGE WHEN IT WAS RELEASED; THE FIRST «TRAILER» FOR THE «MOVIE» HAD FASCINATED ME; MY FRIENDS, AND I, WERE «OBSESSED» WITH THE «MOVIE».

IMAGINE WATCHING THIS «TRAILER», AS A KID, IN THE CINEMA, IN YEAR TWOTHOUSAND ONE:

cfgbf

Why do zoomoids like into the spiderverse so much?

No, and it's practically just an advertisement for that song. Miles is also a really shit character, all he does is whine the whole movie

>black protagonist
>rap every five minutes
>blonde spidergirl for shitskins
>loli spidergirl for weebs
>colorful visuals

>It's fun, dud!! xD

*shudders*

it is really that good

Kinoman 2 dominating the competition effortlessly, holland zoom zooms BTFO

You can't be seen talking shit about it, I saw one nigga say it's better than Alita, you believe that shit? Watch batman: Hush. A way superior cartoon

>Spider-Man, Spiderverse

Hush is good? I heard they replaced Killer Croc with Bane or some shit

>SPIDER MAN 3 BAD

Pretty based desu
Didn't expect Yea Forums to have any taste but hey here we are.
+1 to the guy that voted TASM2

Attached: spideymovies.jpg (720x1101, 202K)

I watched it the other night and enjoyed it more than I should have. I didn't see killer croc but it's got most of his villains in it

It is but it's also better than Iron Lad

Metal kid

I didn't care for it much outside of Bamham/Catwoman kino. Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was somehow unironically better. Not memeing.

Were you pissed off about the reveal of Hush at the end?

Neat, I'll check it out

Not pissed off but I thought it was underwhelming and the Clayface thing tends to be a lazy crutch in Batman stories.

2 > PS4 > 1 > 3 > ASM 1 > ASM 2 > Homecoming > FFH

Haven't seen Spiderverse

The latest Spider-Man was awful. Somehow a bit better than Homecoming though. Feels unironically soulless and short. Im a 2000 zoomer but I somehow feel bad for the next generation that are going to be seeing more movies like this

i;m a huge OT fag, but i really liked Far from home. Probably my 2nd favorite after Spiderman 2 right now

it's up there with raimi's movies

It was pretty cringy. Not that great not that bad. It's eh. Miles was hard to like

in no small part because he is already tainted by comic miles being the worst thing in the ultimate universe

The ultimate universe is the worst thing period.

it was the first comics i fully read before reading 500 spiderman comics stopped during the clone stuff since i couldn't find one of the 6 parts of a story and i was burnt out ultimate was fine but them bring him back was horse shit and they should feel bad

Just came back from seeing Far From Home, was pretty good. Loved how they did Mysterio. They gonna ride this series till Holland is a grown man like Harry Potter.

Reddit the post

Tom Holland and Harley Keener Ty Simpkins are so handsome.

>Harley Keener
Sounds like a fucking nerd

Adulthood is realizing Spiderman 3 is the best

Far From Home, it’s Spider-kino. And because everything the Raimicult and Morales Yea Forumsfags said about it was fucking wrong.

This.

You’re so retarded I’m surprised you know which hole is for shitting.

Garfield and Emma Stone were great. It's just that everything else was terrible.

No, it’s not. It’s Yea Forumsfags and edgelords trying to piss off actual Spider-Man fans.

I feel like people are tricked by his appearance and quipping, because he really lacks the essence of Spider-Man as a character.

Given that shitverse isn’t even about Peter Parker and is not live action, why did you include it?

I hadn't watched the Raimi films in a long time, and after watching homecoming I watched his trilogy and it was actually fucking shocking. The tightness of the scripts. emotional resonance, and inspired directing and dp'ing are absolutely night and day from the MCU movies.

He doesn’t really quip, and he carries the essence of Spider-Man as he is extremely boy next door, nerdy science kid, courageous, inquisitive, independent as much as he can be for his young age. When I think of ‘kid from Queens’ he’s the one who immediately comes to mind, not the poor actor Maguire or the entirely wrong Garfield.

Maguire was fantastic.
youtube.com/watch?v=kCd6HLNW3MQ
Holland isn't independent, he's iron man jr. Holland has all the surface level elements of Spider-Man with out any of the ones that make him work as a character.

Please explain your reasoning.

>isn’t even about Peter Parker
Maybe watch the movie first before posting, sweetie

>the entirely wrong Garfield.
I connect with Garfield as Parker because I too was a skateboarding asshole with good looks in high school. One of the things I really enjoy about that first TASM movie is that Peter is a selfish prick for a lot of it. People seem to forget just how much of a self centered asshat Peter started as in the original comics, even beyond the letting Ben's killer get away thing. I think TASM interpretation of Peter works just fine as a Peter in a modern context and the performance he turned in was perfectly fine too. He's just not believably nerdy which I think people get hung up on. But as someone who was that asshole teenager in high school, I was also fairly invisible and unpopular. It just really works for me personally and I don't really agree with a lot of the complaints surrounding it.

soul v soulless fren

Apparently there are at least 36 N I G G E R S in this thread

The best part about this scene is Sheen's composure in getting through it. The man is a true professional.

Am I the only one who thinks that the hate for Raimi-Man 3 is massively overblown? I mean, it's not a masterpiece and especially coming from SM2 the movie is very goofy but it has a ton of memorable moments, every second with JJJ is a goldmine and still it still has pretty damn good action scenes. I mean, at least it's enjoyable to watch, unlike TASM and TASM2. While I never considered it as good as SM 1&2 I never really got why it was so universally loathed.

Question to all who criticize the Marvel quipping, isn't Spider-Man one of the few characters who is actually supposed to do it?

Goofy symbiote shit aside, it's a narrative mess, largely due to 3 antagonists. Topher grace was terribly miscast, Franco phoned it in, and Sandman shouldn't have even been in it.

He's supposed to be actually funny though, not sound like a Twitter-dwelling numale bugman, which is what all MCU characters sound like now.

Yes. Having nearly every major and minor character in the mcu do this dilutes Spidey's role.

>Topher grace was terribly miscast
I thought he did a good job. And Sandman should have been in it, the thing that needed to be removed was Venom. Leave the rest of the movie the same, but move the scene where the symbiote drops on to Eddie in the church as a post-credits cliffhanger.

If you are going to play the equivalency game.

Raimi Trilogy = Superman Quadrilogy
Lois and Clark = Amazing Spiderman Duology
MCU Spiderman = MCU Iron Man

Sandman forming for the first time was actually kino as fuck. I hate the fact that every villain in Raimiverse has to have a personal connection to Peter and the fact that he killed Uncle Ben was a stupid retcon but despite all that, he was a pretty good villain. He had good motivations and was acted well. Goblin Jr. was pretty cool as well, although the amnesia was a bit too convenient.

>Quadrilogy
>Duology
Stop using these retarded words

Anyone who voted Into Spiderverse is level 1 retard.
Half part of movie is pure shit and filler. You cant even see with horrible filter shit and explosions all over with purple background. What a garbage movie hyped like black panther.

Saving venom for a future film would've been fine too, but Sandman did little for the plot and was only relevant due to the Ben retcon. I can understand their reasoning for not wanting harry as the sole antagonist since it's another goblin, but the foundation had been laid and sharing the spotlight at this stage left him thin.

>avoid eye contact
>have a permanent James Dean look
>mumble and stutter and do a different nervous twitch every 5 seconds to show frustration and nervousness
>talk like your in a porno getting your dick sucked under a table trying to keep your cool
Oh yeah, this guy can act

I've only seen the first Raimi one (had it on VHS and watched it a ton) so that

I will always defend Spider-Man 3. Also I typically can't stand video essays but this one makes some nice points

youtu.be/UD0cNRsJugg

It's fucking great. The movie's funny, they put some thought into the animation and it has one of the best script i've seen in a while. It's hard to believe it was one produced by Sony when you knew what they had in mind for the Spiderman franchise.

Between Spiderverse, The Marvel movies and the videogame, it's a good time for Spiderman media.

Attached: 1498259532605.jpg (643x679, 73K)

I think he was high on cocaine when that was filmed.

Spider-Man hasn't been a kid since the 60s. He graduated high school after about 30 issues. He's been a grown ass man longer than he's ever been a fucking kid.

Geez, calm down Raimi.

Spiderverse simply because spiderman noir is best spiderman

It looks to me very much like a significant section of the public, mostly man children, having given up on attempting to understand the reality they are actually living in, have instead reasoned that they might at least be able to comprehend the sprawling, meaningless, but at-least-still-finite ‘universe’ presented by the MCU. I would also observe that it is, potentially, culturally catastrophic to have the ephemera of a previous century squatting possessively on the cultural stage and refusing to allow this surely unprecedented era to develop a culture of its own, relevant and sufficient to its times.

Lol, boomer

>Spider-Man 2 is winning
Yep. Yea Forums's shitty taste showing once again.

Why does everyone hate the Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2?

>He's been a grown ass man longer than he's ever been a fucking kid.
I would've thought he's a tits man
