Be Cool
The movie isnt very good but the soundtrack is amazing and the rock plays himself
Good Time didn't it have any right to be as good as it was. It may actually be in my top-10 movies of the decade.

I like the work of Mihaly Vig in Bela Tarr films. So the soundtracks for Satantango, The Turin Horse and Werckmeister Harmonies. Werckmeister Harmonies in particular stands out.

Eleni Karaindrou work with Theo Angelopoulos. Especially Eternity and a Day.

Zbigniew Preisner work with Krzysztof Kieslowski. Especially Double Life of Veronique.

I also like the Sorcerer ost.

What is this movie even about?
Forrest Gump
>ain’t me starts playing
math, schizophrenia, and jews
Hm. Is it better or worse than Life of Pi?
I've never seen Life of Pi, but this is one of my fav movies if that accounts for anything.
Rambo II or Terminator. I love synth based music. Harold Faltermeyer would have to be up there. And John Carpenter. Just for the sounds of those synths. I hate synthwave.
Neither have I so honestly that wouldn't have given me much of a frame of reference anyway. I'll check it out though, I like the Aronofsky movies I've seen.
>And John Carpenter. Just for the sounds of those synths. I hate synthwave.
Then you're gonna hate John Carpenter's new music.

>mfw listening to The Pure and The Damned in that credits scene

It's surprising that this guy is also with Radiohead. Sounds pretty different from his film scores.

It's overproduced. Those strings and that voice in the back. He did what he had to do at the time because of budgetary reasons. And because he loved to fiddle on his keyboard. This...You might as well throw it on the Only God Forgives Ost (I love Mark Isham, don't get me wrong) But yes. You were right to say I would hate it.
Such a shame that King Arthur flopped, I would have loved to see a second one just to get another great soundtrack out of it. I tried Man from UNCLE because it was also by that composer and it was enjoyable enough but it just wasn't the same.
Upstream Color
this. It sticks with me a lot and i often think about it. There is something in this movie and people in the future will appreciate it more. It will be seen as one of the best movies of our times, i'm sure.

I don't remember this having any notable music.
Just off the top of my head:
>Jon Brion: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
>Hans Zimmer: Interstellar
>John Williams: The Empire Strikes Back
>Nine Inch Nails: The Social Network
>Jonny Greenwood: There Will Be Blood / Phantom Thread
Meh movie but good ass soundtrack.

I love this one. I've had to search for it long and wide before everything became available on the net. But it was good. When they jumped out of that plane you can hear the clock ticking. They are running out of time, they are running out of youth. and then you have the strings that add to the suspense and when you get a view of how majestic the landscape really is the horns kick in. And the ticking of the clock gets louder and you get a sound on the background (I don't know what that is) which goes from very high to very low very fast, signifying their fall. This scene was a summary of youth, to me, basically and the music fitted perfectly. By far the best thing Mark Isham Has ever done in my eyes. It resonated with me, and I'm sure it resonated with a lot of other people as well. It's a very intense, fleeting moment. And once it's gone, it's gone. I was at my peak at that time, so I could very well relate. It's beautiful and awe inspiring. Very dissapointed to find out later that this was all fake and when you freefall it takes like 30 seconds max., If even that. They did multiple jumps over an area they weren't allowed too though. It encapsulates everything I'd like to think my youth was about:

>Sex with the gods!
>Fucking beautiful!
You can't even talk during a skydive. but this was a beautiful scene. And Mark Isham made it so much better.
are you retarded? Conan is Basil Poledouris' best work
Link one song.
The A$AP Rocky story
The Cable Guy soundtrack was the shit
I don't know how they roped elderly iggy pop into that but I'm glad they did
This, very underrated. Also,
>The Crow
>Natural Born Killers
Uncut Gems coming out this year. Safdies + Sandler = kino.
You should also watch Song to Song, he's actually in that movie.
Sandler's finally getting back into art film? This should indeed be kino.
He was in Meyerowitz Stories by Baumbach in 2017. He was great in it. I wasn't fan of the film but i dislike Baumbach in general. Also Uncut Gems is 135 minutes. Kino of the year incoming.
This movie and the Rover, both with Robert in them, were surprisingly good.

I recently watched this and it got me hooked.
Though I really hate it when some movies reuse their main leotmotif all the fucking time until you get sick of it, no matter how much of a banger it is and The Man With The Golden Arm is guilty of it
This happens with Once Upon a Time in the West, great theme song but it feels like the only song you ever hear in the movie and it's a 3 and a half hour movie.
The Crow
Still Crazy
Heat
Jurassic Park
The Fifth Element
The Lost Boys
The Neon Demon
Most movies before the 70's I've seen have done that to a lesser or not extent
Fuck yeah, Morphine
Pattinson is mostly in good movies nowadays. If not good than at least somehow interesting.
He is usually the best part of the movies as well. Really can not wait for The Lighthouse.
Best Hans Zimmer kino.

Hana-bi and Phantom Thread are my absolute favorites.
I agree. The Lighthouse is my most anticipated film of the year. Dafoe, Pattinson and Eggers is an incredible combination.
The Thin Red Line is his best work.
