CW peaked with TVD(early TVD to be exact) and has been downhill ever since. All the shows they come out with are boring, terrible and very soulless compared to many years ago.

They tried two times, the first of which is admittedly bullshit because it felt too much like a TVD ripoff. Now the second one is a completely different matter because of a year’s worth of media hype, viewer ratings and critical anticipation was significant, especially with an established fan base, extra slots for Sunday program expansion, Supernatural performing well through network and streaming metrics (outdoing most other CW shows), and yet it was unceremonious dropped in favor of another TVD spin-off. Do note that the Originals was already underperforming at this time in terms of viewership.
