Not necessarily. He's less of an impulsive hothead in Super, and while he acknowledged that Goku was #1 in the Kid Buu fight, he's not the kind of guy to let that suddenly stop his motivation to best him.

Not really, the whole point that's played upon in the cell games arc is that he's NOT a warrior and doesn't like fighting but does out of necessity/rage.
After it's all done he no longer had a reason to keep fighting as he's not like goku/vegeta.
