Why do no moves/tv take place here?
Why do no moves/tv take place here?
It would be seen as anti-muslim and that is forbidden.
I want a movie about the fall of Constantinople.
they could make it about 'evil' christian Greeks larping as Romans killing innocent muslims in Mesopotamia or some shit and studios would be all over it.
>tfw we'll never have a kino about justinian or the comnenos
because they didn't have the desire to pay debt
youtube.com
I desperately want some late antiquity kino.
such a strange and interesting period of history. the long slow decline. relatable, right?
>he doesn't know about turkino

Movie about Constantinople would be kino, but jews would never let it happen
Fetih 1453 is the best you'll find
They did, it's called Kingdom of Heaven, sans the Greeks.
probably the biggest thing to happen in history and considered by most the event that ended the middle ages, too bad it would make Muslims look bad so we'll never see it on screen.
hard to play the muslims as innocent when they are constantly invading Anatolia.
Can't find a torrent
to depressing to think about....
Would love a movie about the Siege of Melitene. The first offense the Byzantines took part in in two centuries. It really turned things around until Manzikert.
this kino vid is the best we'll get, kiketube keeps taking it down for some reason though;
What movie is that from?
some Turkish movie, I don't know whats it's called unfortunately.
Fetih 1453?
The movie depicts Constantinople in 1453 as being at the height of the Eastern Roman empire power, complete with chariot races and everything, while the Turks are just some plucky band of tribes men with god on their side who are disgusted by the Byzantine decadence.
When in reality the Turks basically controlled the whole area, Constantinople was on its last leg, already sacked by (((Venetians))), and the half of the "Turkish" army was whites slaves from the Balkans
a serbian film took place there
jews fear the byzantines
We need a show about Justinian II
Why did Constantinople get the works?
The Life of Augustine could legitimately make for a great HBO series
>Interesting historical period, the chance to explore weird orphic/gnostic cults and shit that go beyond the typical pagan mythology
>Lots of room for depth and long philosophy kino but also lots of room for sex and grotesque shit
>Impossible to poz, it's literally about the rise of Christianity
