What is the honest appeal of this?
What is the honest appeal of this?
I honestly don't know, it was edgy back when it came out I guess, it was boring as hell to me. Maybe the fact that porn and snuff films are readily available to watch nowadays so everything in it was tame. Though in the book the main guy had sex with 12yos instead of grown women which is a bit more troubling.
It's easily the worst post-Dr. Strangelove Kubrick film.
its babys first edgy film but i think its well made as all of kubricks films are
VIDDY WELL MY LITTLE PLEB DROOGIE
Did they honestly try to convince me that white gangs are a huge problem in society?
Brainlets, the lot of you. Literally couldn't get past the surface level aesthetics. It's a wonderful movie about societal conditioning, I'd suggest you all take a closer look if you can keep your minds out of the gutter.

if any of you can help me with this: I saw a guy on /diy: remake the Penis dear Alex stabbed the woman to death with. He did it with a 3d printer. and what fucked him was, when you gave it a nudge and it rocked back and forth, there wasn't a delay like in the movie.
He had to place a ball inside and people would help him with it and calculate the weight of the ball, in order to get the right delay.
He had to start over from scratch, but he did it. And in the end he got an exact replica of the Penis from 'A Clockwork Orange'. I thought that shit was amazing and I wish I had documented it. He even posted webm's to show that there was a problem with the delay.
Long Story Short: I've been a fan of /diy/ ever since. Some amazing shit goes down there. It's hands down the best board on the chan.
The wine

It's just perfect right from the opening scene. Plus I watched it as a kid so that scene where the rival gang is trying to give that big tiddy girl a bit of the old in-out is burned into my memory forever.
Yeah I remember that. I've been a /diy/ke since the board opened
t. hasn't read the book and can only spout the same THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT CLOCKWORK ORANGE facts
Synthesized Ludwig Van.
It's not just violence for the sake of it, the point is that even though Alex is a piece of shit, trying to force good morals on him artificially is foolish and just as wrong
Yeah but he was 15 in the book, so is it really that bad? It's like a highschool senior and a freshman dating which isn't that uncommon or illegal even if the senior turns 18. Romeo and juliet laws and all that.
FOOD ALRIGHT?
I tried to but the translation was hard to get through and I didn't care really.
Okay, you got me that's true I just found the movie boring in the end. Maybe I just don't have the right mindset for that movie.
The book was written at a time when older brits were very upset with teenagers, and harrumphing about it, so he threw out a quick book to capitalize on it.
Kubrick saw some themes in it that interested him.
And, no, they didn't try to convince you that the movie is factual - it's clearly fiction and you're all huffed up and offended over nothing. In other words, you fit in here perfectly.
It's just a fucking movie.
What you got back home to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you have pitiful portable picnic players. Come with Uncle and hear all proper! Hear angel trumpets and devil trombones. (You) are invited
stop talking to the mirror
Remember bunkerbro? Or the guy who wanted to make dorsal fins on his car? They mocked him for weeks. It was his first time and he tooke pictures of the whole process. Everyone had a say: ' don't do it like that', ' 'broh, you're shit', 'lmao' etc. And in the end they all had to admit the result looked pretty fucking nice. He probably did some stupidities along the way ( the lionshare of it being doing timeconsuming shit he could've resolved otherwise) But It was a victory when it came out Perfect. It's inspiring. Threads can stay up there for weeks, if you take photos of your progress. It's my favorite board, other than Yea Forums.
Has great music, sequence of shots, interesting dialects, some simple but interesting themes. Just good piece of art.
I always use to say this to my bpd exgf when I made her food
Found the Cock-Sucker.
>What is the honest appeal of this?
Malcom's charisma. Not hard to understand.
It's Kubrick's specialty - an art film that's actually fun to watch.
Bunkerbro, I'll try to tell it to the best of my recollection, was a guy who had struck big with poker. So he bought himself a bunker, that was chisseled out inside a mountain. It was a state bunker, but he bought it at an auction, for cheap. He rode around with his quad in it (that's how big it was) . Then he asked /diy/ for advice on lamps, he ordered two thousand or so from China in the end. He had a room where a lader lay flat over a 'bottomless pit' and he had to climb over it. He took a picture of a room that was flooded and it became somewhat of a meme because some other poster had noticed some 'dark figure' in the water.
Last time I heard from him, he had a cinema like room that was almost finished. The pictures looked really fucking nice. Dude had literally bought himself a 'house' inside a mountain. Iirc his plans were to make it a hotel.
But he struck big with poker and then he did (most of it) by himself. Truly inspiring. Most of us aren't that lucky, but on /diy/ no one gives a shit about what you think. It's about building. I'm jealeous of that.
I didn't understand one word any of the faggots in this faggot movie said
true i mostly found it boring and i like other kubrick
The synthesis of classic english and russian was very horosho my droogie woogies
Visually amazing
i saw it a couple weeks ago. i remember a couple friends of mine saw it in high school (due to our english class having to read the book) and they wouldn’t shut up about it. i remember back then i saw the first 15 minutes (up until they beat the homeless man). once i finished the whole movie... i was like
I liked the homoeroticism desu
I cannot fucking sit through 2001, I’m okay with slower movies but god damn can something please happen. There’d been about 50 shots of spaceships just floating before I turned the fucking thing off
Its supposed to be a cautionary tale about how degenerancy and violence will spiral out of control in the future because "it's ok when bad things happen to people I don't like".
Its honestly one of Kubrick's worst flicks.
no you fucking retard
it's about government backed social scientists' futile efforts to curtail such behavioral trends
futile in that the government doesn't actually want to heal its populace, merely control them
Sorry, I don't actively seek out snuff like you folks.
>it's about government backed social scientists' futile efforts to curtail such behavioral trends
>futile in that the government doesn't actually want to heal its populace, merely control them
....which feeds into the movies theme of violence and degenerate behavior.
Its cruelty in different forms.
