I've seen about half your list and have enjoyed most of them. Do you know of any recs more like The Great Beauty or that are more experimental like Sleep Has Her House? And thanks, I'll check out those I haven't seen
Very hit-or-miss. For example, Burnham's directorial debut was trash
>any recs more like The Great Beauty
Other Sorrentino films. Also La Dolce Vita.
>more experimental like Sleep Has Her House
Sleep Has Her House is quite specific. A Ghost Story has quite a few similar sequences though and approaches to portrayal of time if that is what you're looking for.
In terms of non narrative experimental work I'd always recommend Kooyanisqatsi
>Is cinema dead?
Cinema died in 1927
