Pretty sure it's not a reboot. They backtracked on Idris Elba playing Will Smith's character so they can leave things open for him to come back, even if it never happens. Yeah, that one producer definitely described it as a reboot, but I think he meant that as in "you don't even have to think about that first movie, much less actually watch it." Every returning character is being played by the same actor.

I say the opposite. DC should embrace their iconic brand that has been embraced by families for generations. I enjoy mature readers comics published by DC, but I don't think that should be their mainstream focus. Nor do I think Hollywood can handle adapting those classic mature readers books. (The new mature readers books coming from DC have been crap themselves.)
DC should focus on a classic take on Justice League. THAT would be an alternative to Marvel and their next wave full of NuMarvel experiments.
