It's probably the best Kaiju film ever made, at least in terms of getting the tone right without going too silly
I personally disagree, it's great but the title of best Kaiju film goes to Godzilla Final Wars to me.
Unless by Kaiju you mean any movie with a giant monster in which case Godzilla 54 wins.

Justify your whining about the second movie when it
a) isn't shot entirely in night/rain shitvision like the first
b) doesn't rely on a main character who can only semi passably speak English
c) has secondary characters that actually matter and don't get chumped out instantly
d) doesn't have fucking dreadful 'comedy' sideplots like the Hannibal Chau garbage

It's a mediocre film that is fun. Bad movies can be enjoyable. Just because you like it, you don't have to justify it as good.

The movie was fucking great, though. It did what it was trying to do and did it perfectly. It's well shot, well acted and fun and that was what it wanted to be. It's quite literally a perfect film
