Where are adventure movies??!?!?

How does it keel to know that some mediocre movies like Mummy or Tomb Raider are the only adventure / exploration / treasure hunt blockbusters in whole fucking decade? It's been a while since the latest Indiana Jones and since then it's all about capeshit and capeshit. Give me traditional adventure flicks, free of SJW bullshit and CGI overload, now!

The Lost City of Z was pretty good.

All you'll get are Disney remakes, remakes, and the occasional flick that gets forgotten in a week.

Agree. Kinda depressive but raw and pure. They should put R. Haggard novels on screen once again. She or King Salomon Mines need remake, old ones are so dated.

>It's been a while since the latest Indiana Jones
because it was fucking terrible

There's one every year.

Universal should just leave Dark Universe and turn Nick Morton into new Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford is like 80 years old, he belongs in a museum.

Godzilla King of the Monsters definitely felt like an adventure movie.

from what I saw about it, it seems more like a horror movie then anything else

Uncharted 4 is basically a pretty good interactive adventure film.

So did Aquaman

>Indiana Jones
>free of SJW bullshit
If Raiders of the Lost Ark came out in 2019, /pol/ would be whining about the Nazis being bad guys, and saying Marion is SJW feminist shit.

Nick Mrton should've been played by Jake Johnson then, not old as fuck Tom Cruise.

Lost City of Z, but not enough explosions for ADHD retards like you. Funny how people like you complain about adventure movies being blockbuster trash while ignoring the good ones because deep down blockbuster trash is the only thing you really crave and deserve.

There are some Chinese flicks with int cast added to it.
Most are pretty bad.

And there's this show on now, 'blood and treasure', but I don't know if it's any good.

I watched the trailer, basically Uncharted the movie.

>/pol/ would be whining about the Nazis being bad guys, and saying Marion is SJW feminist shit.

I highly doubt that, considering the context. Marion isn't even strong.

>She
New mummy is basically a modern take on "She"
>2 guys exploring exotic country - checked
>they meet an ancient queen- checked
>she is looking for her lover - checked
>she wants to sacrifice one of them so they can be together
>she kills another woman that stands between them - checked, although the mummy has a plot twist with bringing her back
Creators of that movie were obviously inspired by Haggard's novel. Studio shehorned cinematic universe into it but the core of the movie is still there. Princess whats-her-name is also close to Ayesha - a wasted lover, full of vengance and anger.
Marion does nothing, she's DiD at best, Jones saves her multiple times. Nazi are just enemies that could be replaced by anything else. They didn't show Nazi ideology untill 3rd movie with burning books scene.

>if an anti nazi film was shown in the most hilariously hyperbolic nazi strawman period people would whine about it
Nah and the nazis in that arent the type of comic NAZIS BTFO you see today

Makes sense since adventure often goes in pair with horror.
