The truth is neither left or right today can support what the Nazis did. For the left it is about the firm hand of an openly oppressive dictator. For the right, it's because Hitler and his staff got more white men killed than anything in history. Demographics would look a whole lot different without the Nazis mucking around.
And if you're neutral in general then you have to accept that they caused the breaking of every empire left on earth which gave us the tensions in the middle east that lead to everything from 9/11 to the escalation happening now in Iran. America has been lucky to keep the peace so far through brilliant tactics post war such as the UN guaranteeing US superiority. The flip side being America has rotted fast on both sides and we're where we are now.
