Who was Jerry talking about on this episode of comedians in cars? He really ripped him apart.
"I don't like him. At all. At all. In fact I have a particular feeling about him. I had kind of forgotten about him, and then there was a little article about him in the paper, and even in that, there was a veiled reference to his dislike of what I did. Didn't have my name, of course. He used to rail against comedians because they weren't as wild and dangerous as he was, 'cause he sucked! Okay? He wasn't funny, and that's why he didn't get anywhere, period. He sucked! 'Cause in comedy, nobody gives a fuck if you're cool, if you're lame. If you're funny, you win, if you're not funny, you don't. And he's NOT funny, that's why he had to do that stupid f*cking voice, 'cause you have no f*cking act. ...Yeah, you can tell him, by the way, all of that. And that's why he didn't like me, 'cause I could actually do it! I can do comedy. He can't. That's why he doesn't like me. That's what that's about. ...and I'll tell you where else it came from... stupid [???], you're not scary or dangerous, you're just, you're just weak on stage, that's what you are, weak. You're a weak act. ...You can love him, he's gunna need the love, because he's not gunna get it from the public. Because you don't have any skills, you don't have any talent..."
> Bridget Everett is a “good friend” of this mystery man. > The person is someone who Jerry could have conceivably “forgotten about,” implying that he’s not a super well-known name. > It’s someone who’s been negative about Seinfeld and railed against comedians who weren’t as “wild and dangerous” as he was. > It’s a comedian who, according to Seinfeld, “sucks,” “wasn’t funny,” and “didn’t get anywhere.” > He’s someone who did a “stupid fucking voice” and purports to be “scary or dangerous.”
>Based on these clues, I came up with a four prime suspects — Andy Kindler, Anthony Jeselnik, Eddie Pepitone, and Gilbert Gottfried — along with a few alternates (Denis Leary, Nick DiPaolo, Bobcat Goldthwait, Dan Aykroyd). For the record, I do not personally believe these comedians suck. Many of these suspects came from perusing Everett’s twitter account and searching for negative articles about Seinfeld.

Obviously he's referring to Kenny Bania
Nicholas Lee
I'm thinking bobcat. He used to do crazy shit like light the couch on fire during a talk show. He was considered unpredictable and "dangerous" when he was circulating show biz.
Not surprising that Seinfeld wouldn't find him funny.
Jonathan Gray
I read that and the guy who wrote it is an idiot. Gilbert and Jerry get along fine, and Jerry has no problem with Anthony Jeselnik, Seinfeld is one of his idols for Christ's sakes. The only comedian on there it could be is Bobcat. The other ones are just comedians the writer doesn't like.
Cooper Turner
>Gilbert and Jerry get along fine,
But that's because they're the same person using time travel to have two careers.
Owen Foster
>>Based on these clues, I came up with a four prime suspects — Andy Kindler, Anthony Jeselnik, Eddie Pepitone, and Gilbert Gottfried — along with a few alternates (Denis Leary, Nick DiPaolo, Bobcat Goldthwait, Dan Aykroyd). This person doesn't have a clue.
>Feb. 19, 1995 >But if you think he’s weird, Goldthwait says, consider Jerry Seinfeld.
>“Here is this creepy Scientologist guy (dating) teenage girls - which I don’t care about one way or another,” he said. “What I find creepy is that people are convinced he lives in that apartment, and those are his wacky friends. They don’t like each other; they’re actors paid to pretend they like Jerry Seinfeld. He’s a weird guy. But everybody thinks he’s normal and I’m weird.”
Joshua Walker
Andrew Dice Clay
Matthew Cooper
Dice was big for a while, when was Bobcat on his level? Bobcat is most well known for his role in those Police Academy movies.
Christopher Howard
>What I find creepy is that people are convinced he lives in that apartment, and those are his wacky friends. They don’t like each other; they’re actors paid to pretend they like Jerry Seinfeld. Does Bobcat not understand how television works?

Andrew Dice Clay has said on Larry King that Seinfeld is one of the greatest comics and that his sitcom is great.
Probably not Diceman.
Hudson Taylor
The comedian in question doesn't like Seinfeld though, use that to filter out the choices
Justin Clark
Yeah I'm sticking with it being Bobcat then, he's always been an asshole. He was happy when Sam Kinison died because he didn't like his act.
Jack Murphy
It has to be Bobcat over Gottfried, because Gottfried is funny. However, Gottfried has repeatedly mocked Jerry and Jay Leno on the Howard Stern show in the 90s and 2000s.
Jackson Reed
I think it's Gilbert Gottfried. With a second guess of Bobcat. But Bobcat stopped doing the voice years ago, while Gilbert still does it. Gilbert is nothing without the voice.
Asher Wright
Gilbert actually has jokes though. Bobcat hasn't worked as a comic since the 90s.
Landon Lewis
He is saying some fans don't and think that is Seinfeld's actual life
Gilbert imitates Jerry and makes fun of him, but I've never heard of him hating Jerry's act.
Matthew Moore
I think it was just illustrating Jerry as a normal, cool dude, when in reality he was not.
Jace Anderson
Bobcat still works, and also heckles fans who tell him to do the voice, which he doesn't do anymore, and is bitter towards successful comedians.
I don't think Gilbert has actual negative feelings towards Seinfeld, I don't know why he would
Noah Lee
Its Andrew dice clay
Nicholas Allen
See you fucking slowpoke
Brayden Green
Remember the hambeast he was talking to is friends with this guy. Do you really think that's gonna be Dice? No it would be Bobcat, I've seen him talk about how he's a feminist and shit in interviews.
Adrian Scott
why is it that literally all comedians are angry bitter rude assholes in real life always going on about some teenage drama they have and talking shit about every other comedian? Jerry sucks at stand up by the way, he was an OK comedy actor and I'm not sure if he wrote for the show but his actual jokes make me feel uncomfortable with how unfunny they are. like when he had norm on and tried telling him some jew joke
We know the subject came up because it was the episode Jerry had Bridget Everett as a guest, and Googling Bridget with Gilbert turns up nothing. Googling her and Bobcat Goldthwait, on the other hand, brings up "Love You More" and "Bobcat Goldthwait's Misfits and Monsters"
Henry Turner
>like when he had norm on and tried telling him some jew joke
That's not even funny enough to have been worth tweeting, much less to lose your gig over.
Robert Williams
probably Bobcat which is a bit unfair as he was a huge comic when jerry was really nobody (though this was the 80s when everyone was a huge comic) If I recall Bobcat was on the tonight show and kinda did a seinfeld impression.
Everyone did a Seinfeld impression before Seinfeld was a household name. I forgot where I saw it, but it was explained in some show. When he was coming up through the circuit other comedians saw him getting big, but still kinda made fun of his schtick; Tom Hanks was in a SNK skit that made fun of him before Jerry made it big.
Jonathan Miller
>I can do comedy but it sucks ass
Nicholas Green
Bobcat was doing movies (sure they weren't great but still)
Luis Reed
No shit, Dan Aykroyd? wtf, not even close
Evan Baker
That's your opinion but Bobcat was happy he died because he considered Sam's act to be misogynistic which is such a pussy thing to say.
Anthony Hernandez
That doesn't really mean anything because back then late night hosts were actively searching for comedian guests, so if you had some talent they would invite you
Luke Lopez
Dice was playing stadiums for a while there. This is the first I’m hearing of this but Bobcat Goldthwait seems to be the most likely based on the info provided. I can’t see Gilbert describing himself as scary or dangerous.
Landon Morales
Jerry seems so angry and bitter

Danny's not a stand-up, he's a sketch comedic actor and screenwriter, and incredibly well regarded as both.

Seinfeld is such an unlikeable faggot. Hack too, he’s been doing the same exact act for 30 years. He’s lucky Larry David handed him hundreds of millions otherwise he’d be working shitty road gigs every weekend.

There was an interview where Seinfeld was at the clubs as a rookie, Godfrey did seinfeld's set right before he went on. Had the kitchen in stitches but the crowd had no idea what was going on.

Do any of those comedians other than Goldthwait and Gottfried do a "stupid fucking voice"? Fuck this guy didn't narrow it down in the slightest

>from an interview in 2003 with Bobcat Goldthwait:
"I watched that Jerry Seinfeld movie about stand-up (Comedian). I don't know, man. Sitting around with a bunch of guys, slaving over a new 'clapper' joke? For God's sake. People are gonna think all comics are crazy, because here's a guy with $450 million, bummed out because he can't get laughs at an Improv. Crazy!

Okay ignoring that article written by the idiot writer these are the things to narrow down:
-Friends with John Belushi -Friends with Bridget Everett -Took shots at Seinfeld and claimed to be a wild and dangerous comic -Not super well-known as a comedian (which would be a reason Jerry wouldn't be aware) -Did a "stupid fucking voice"
Nathan Wood
wow... what a stupid thing to tweet

is he talking about the movie with Adam Sandler that Judd Apatow made? wtf thats like 6 years later

He was engaged to Nikki Cox and was 16 years older than her...
>When Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants, was growing up in Syracuse, N.Y., his best friend was edgy comedian Bobcat Goldthwait. They were recently reminiscing about those childhood days when they both dreamed of Hollywood.
>"Remember when we were in high school?" Goldthwait said. "We were talking about whose careers we wanted to have when we grew up. I said John Belushi and you said Mel Blanc."
He'd have been aware of Belushi while growing up but I don't know if he ever met him.
