Jesus christ, I saw the new one and I totally forgot they dropped the sister plot point. The only good part of that movie was the beginning 5 or 10 min at the mental asylum. Saw that intro and I was like ohhhh yeah this is gonna be awesome! Then it was just mediocre shiit.

Jamie Lee Curtis was the worst part about the new movie, they need to drop the character and move on. Nobody gives a shit! It’s a movie about teenagers getting killed, not the fuckin Godfather. It was almost certainly Johnny boy, he didn't even want to make Halloween 2 following Myers but agreed for some reason, making Laurie his sister was their way (or rather Debra Hill's IIRC) of explaining why Michael continued pursuing her afterwards, he just accepted it for expediency's sake. It's certainly a better idea than having Michael delivered to her door.
And why didn't Michael kill the granddaughter when he discovered he was locked up with her?
