it can be decently funny but also annoying
they were really straining to fill up 25 episodes per season, and had a lot of mid-season arcs that teased upsets to the status quo and then went nowhere
they did the annoying thing that shows do where they have one gay character who's completely perfect and always comes out on top in every situation because they're too afraid to write jokes about him
overall, not bad TV. the show ends when steve carrell leaves. don't go further than that

No. The first couple of episodes at least introduce you to the cast and that's about it. Several of the characters start Season 2 with slightly modified personalities to suit the American audience, and that's where it really starts.
