Who else # scared as fuck /natsoc/ bros?

Four fucking chances and they've cocked them all up, that bloody TV show from FOX has been the best thing to come out of this franchise post-T2. What an absolute joke, it shouldn't be this hard to make a cool movie about time travel and robot assassins

All they needed was a $40m hard R by the guy who made Upgrade. Go back to the dark cyberpunk terror aesthetic.

Did she always have thick thighs?

I wonder what SkyDance does when this flops? Rights revert back to Cameron. Does he focus on Alita and Avatar and let his original baby die?

This was what my roommate and I were discussing yesterday. The vibe of the first flick is so spooky and noiry and cyberpunk and not a single other one has attempted that vibe

>HOLY FUCK I'M MAKING A TERMINATOR MOVIE"

You fucking hack

whoa is that mick jagger?

holy shit fuck fuck shit the action never stops and is biggerer than ever

THE FUTURE IS FEMALE, BOYS

GET USED TO IT

somebody has seen the advanced screening of the movie or something and said there's a scene where pathetic john connor is saved by mackenzie davis and all the female warriors show who is "the real savior" of the world. it's a real girl power moment apparently. and apparently john connor dies like a bitch

this was posted BEFORE we knew furlong was in the movie so I think it's real.

I really expected more from Tim Miller. He's at the age where he should fully fucking understand what Terminator needs, and he left Deadpool so he has a lot to prove.

1. Shoot at night. Callback to first film.
2. Scale it down and boost the tension, scares.
3. Blood + violence. Remind audiences how brutal these machines are. Combine with cartel violence. Weird cool juxtaposition.
4. No SJW shit because Hamilton is better than that.
5. Scale it down but the SFX need to be fucking bleeding edge and insane. Use practical where it counts.
6. Flip the settings. Do a tropical scene, or snow cabin scene. Something we haven't seen before. Maybe even a Chinatown Chink takeover allusion
7. Don't ignore John Connor.
8. Stick the ending. If should be brutal, have consequences, be awesome yet dark.
9. Tits. One good shot of great tits.
10. Do not make the new T a taco manlet.

dude's a manchild, no wonder he pulled off Deadpool

>>HOLY FUCK I'M MAKING A TERMINATOR MOVIE"

it's not really special anymore after 10 mediocre sequels

Been saying for years that they need to make a creepy Terminator movie about cyborgs and AI infiltrating the present to control the future. I'm talking Phillip K. Dick level paranoia and horror. Also, set it in the 80's so the machines can't just plug into the internet and take over the world!!!FACT!!!

>BEFORE we knew furlong was in the movie so I think it's real.
I hate how they shoehorned Furlong into the movie just this month. Bringing him back is kino, a good risk, but it shouldn't just be a half-assed cameo to get ComicCon buzz. I always thought Furlong as an adult would be great for Connor, that he became a crazed chubby nihilist. The opposite of his Christ-like future self. They are treating Eddie like a tax liability and maybe he still is, but if they bring him back hurt to kill him, lmao, it's literally the final nail

Can't believe Miller has wasted his post-Deadpool clout on this used nigger AIDS infested condom of a sequel!!!FACT!!!

Yes, the only movies that have come close to the ideal vibe are Upgrade and Universal Soldier Reckoning.

>it shouldn't be this hard to make a cool movie about time travel and robot assassins
That's the thing is...it is. Even Terminator 2 didn't really make sense. With time travel nothing makes sense.

Strong women frighten me.

Wow, if Terminator 3 was this we actually would have had an excellent trilogy. Sad.

based

>Yes, the only movies that have come close to the ideal vibe are Upgrade and Universal Soldier Reckoning.

Have you never seen Screamers (1995)? It was based on PKD's short story "Second Variety", co-scripted by Dan O'Bannon (Alien, Return of the Living Dead, Total Recall) and stars Peter Weller (Robocop) along with Jennifer Rubin (A Nightmare On Elm Street 3). It's a cheap Canadian made movie but it's got the sort of eerie creeping atmosphere that I'd like to see in a Terminator movie. Just get away from action and explosions. Focus on paranoia and that would get my interest!!!FACT!!!

Yes, it's great. I was naming recent films. Screamers did PKD well, esp the hilarity of space mining eclipsing any human enlightenment

I don't understand Jim. When he does his own shit it's brilliant. When he gets other people to do shit for him he only gets hacks. Rodriguez and the Deadpool guy seriously?

>Wow, if Terminator 3 was this we actually would have had an excellent trilogy. Sad.

Really. Here's my pitch. What if it isn't really a rogue A.I. that went nuts? What if someone learned about Skynet and the future war and decided to profit from it. But how do you profit from nuclear war? Make sure that the war doesn't happen. How do you do that without altering the timeline. I'm talking CAUSE AND EFFECT. Person gets ahold of the T-800 from T1. Uses the tech to build their company, like they did in T2. Has to find a way of stopping the war but also allowing events to happens as they did. A few decades in the future they have perfected cybernetic tech and can build T-800's along with T-1000's as well as a time machine.

So what about Kyle Reese? Well, they had his body, so why couldn't they make a clone, implant fake memories of a future war between man and machine that never actually happened and send him back in time.

They meticulously research the events of 1984 by sending observers and track everything Sarah, Reese and the Terminator did so they can ensue everything happens exactly the same way.

They do the same thing for the events in T2 because the have to close to loop.

So no war and the people in charge of this corporation thinks they've won. But Skynet got wind of this plot and decided to play along. Say that it's goal is to no longer destroy humans but to secretly take over the Earth with their end goal to reach the stars.

That would be the basis of my Terminator movie!!!FACT!!!

This makes no sense. If hebdies as a child how is he treated as "pathetic"? I mean its a just a kid? And if he dies as a child how does furlong factor in?

Apparently /ourguy/ has a role in it so i am kinda interested now.

He is clearly a one trick hack judging by this movie retard. Far from a waste, let him have this movie so he doesnt stain others

THE ACTION IS TEN TIMES BIGGER

James Cameron has only ever made 3 good movies and his last good movie was in 1991.

I almost fell for that too, but they're just going to humiliate him and kill him off. It's a dead series. Rest in piss.

T1
T2
The Abyss
Aliens

Yer rong

Furlong is back too.

That sounds as bad as the garbage we have got since T2.

Just have Skynet decide to abandon killing the Connors and set up sleeper agents in the government. Resistance fighters get wind of it, contact John Connor and it's guerrilla war. Like the first battle in the Terminator war.

Here's my T3 pitch: No Skynet, no terminators, just a washed up, miserable, lonely, traumatized John Connor with no purpose. Some real gay art house shit with Furlong and trying to find a new drive in life.

Alternative pitch (you guys are really going to love this one): _______________________________________________________________Just let the series fucking die___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

>Aliens
>good

>Scale it down
Can't do that, not with a big franchise. This is a 150mil production budget + 300mil marketing budget movie that needs to make 1bn to be considered a success. The old style Terminator, which was more like a slasher/thriller with a few action scenes, is not profitable enough to warrant even just the franchise title. Unless you want to make a spiritual successor to T2(judgment day was only delayed, the war lasted 6 hours, then the machines started hunting the last remaining humans etc.) we will never see a movie like T1 again. And even then it would get ripped to shreds by Paramounts army of lawyers for copyright infringement.
