Why was Worf a joke?

>never kicked ass
>Always beaten up
>Gets rekt by a piece of cargo
>Picard ignores every militaristic suggestion he makes and probably thinks he's a dumb Savage.
>Cucked by his wife and child.
>Growls and mutters to himself.
>Never really saves the day.
>Never has his own episode that's not shitty.

It's like a shit comedy how much of a noncharacter he was. Is it just that nerds can't write masculine characters?

Don't forget that he was a typical black father.

Picard intentionally hindered him at every opportunity because it behooved the Federation diplomatically to not let the first Klingon in Starfleet become a massive failure.

Even in the "ideal" future, nobody likes or respects diversity hires.

Worf was a product of racial abuse. From a young age his faggot human parents did everything they could to snuff out his klingon instincts, instilling in him a warped sense of 'klingon' honor that was actually just human federation values. So worf was constantly fighting against innate reasoning and common sense, his brainwashing twisting his mind and filtering it through human morals. That's why he only ever succeeded when he managed to shake off his conditioning for a task, or when he was put under the command of a captain (Sisko) who encouraged his klingon mannerisms.

The federation is truly an insidious organization designed to break down the ethos of non-eurocentric human cultures

Never kicked ass? Remember when his waifu was murdered and he went and murdered her murderer to avenge her death and all the other Kilngons were like "hey that's pretty based good for you"?

I'm 75% sure he fucked Troi.

He beat all but one of those Jem' Hadar soldiers when he was captured by them, so he doesn't always lose.

Worf's sole purpose for existence in the Roddenberry seasons (1-2) is to be the relic of the violent past that gets BTFO by superior Federation morality. Once TNG proper starts (S3+) he develops more as a character and gets quite a few wins. In fact his arc ends up becoming the most complex short of Picard himself once you stitch together TNG and DS9 (though DS9 admittedly has a few stinker Worf episodes as well), but the ultimate climax makes it all the worth it.

Worf is an interesting character (once he's developed), because he's in a way simultaneously the best Klingon and the worst Klingon. He was raised as a war orphan by humans, so most of what he knows about being Klingon is an idealization based on the histories, legends, and traditions of his people. But we quickly find out that most Klingons are far from ideal, and that the legendary Klingon "honor" is just a convenience for most, even at the top of the hierarchy, easily discarded when it suits their purposes. Worf is stodgy and antisocial and has a lot of trouble interacting with other Klingons, who have far more diverse and varied personalities. Yet it's because of these qualities that he somehow remains as a hidden inner conscience to his people. His Klingon idealism that is laughed at by most becomes a foundation that allows him to, when they are at their very lowest and teetering on the brink of collapse, ultimately save the Empire and restore its honor.

Go to bed mike

>never kicked ass
He only gets beat by gods and ghosts.

>Always beaten up
He's the only person willing to take a beating.

>Gets rekt by a piece of cargo
So would anyone.

>Picard ignores every militaristic suggestion he makes and probably thinks he's a dumb Savage.
That's on Picard being a dumbass. Worf deserved a better captain (or to be captain himself).

>Cucked by his wife and child.
What?

>Growls and mutters to himself.
Like a real man should.

>Never really saves the day.
He says the day constantly.

>Never has his own episode that's not shitty.
Worf episodes were some of the best things TNG had to offer.

Nigger get off the fucking beetle snuff.

Picard ignored his every suggestion because his every suggestion is blow it to all hell with space nukes.

*ahem*

DS9 >> TNG = TOS >>> VOY > TAS > ENT >> STD

1. DS9
2. TNG
3. TOS
4. VOY
5. DSC
6. ENT
7. TAS

None of them are bad though. DS9 through VOY are literally art. ENT through TAS are just fun but unmemorable. They exist in the moment but have no lasting impact or intrinsic value.

based and worfpilled

>Not sure why you would include STD in that list, we're discussing Star Trek in in this thread.

He was a gigachad.

The laziness and incompetence of your meme underscores the clear shittiness of your taste.

Based Worf:

Didn't everyone?

I've never understood that relationship in the last season of TNG. It came out of nowhere (unlike Picard/Beverly, I thought Troi and Riker were together, didn't they get married in one of the movies?

They did. Troi just wanted the BBC before settling with a tiny white boy

klingons were always the least interesting part of star trek desu

I think they just put it in because the idea had already been brought up when Worf was traveling to different universes and it gave them something to make the future in All Good Things rocky between Riker and Worf.

>oh very clever worf, eat any good books lately?

Is this supposed to be a selection of the best tng episodes?
Incredibly shit pick. Half of the riker eps are missing. Half of Data eps. In fact, just kill yourself, not even worth replying further.

This portrayal of Mexicans as an annoyance does not look very progressive.

I suppose it is a selection of the best Worf TNG episodes. I did not watch enough of the series to be able to tell (only up to season three), and this was almost 20 years ago.

They were going on dates right at the end of the show, though it had been teased in alternate universe and fake-out episodes. I'd like to think they never made it past first base.

They were together a few years before we meet them, apart during TNG's run, they hooked back up in Insurrection and got married in Nemesis. I wish they did a show about Riker in command of the USS Titan.

>What must I do to convince you?
>Die.

Indeed. He was also a last minute addition to the show. He was only going to be a recurring character at best.

I swear the comedic writing on this show fucking killed sometimes
