Along with the fact that Cameron was involved, I was expecting something unique and amazing (despite the BO numbers). But after seeing the movie, I can say that the movie was mediocre. I was disappointed. Alita wasn't a bad movie. It just didn't live up to the Yea Forums hype. And that is my fault for confusing waifu-faggotry with hype or quality.

this movie is one of those movies that sounds really good on paper but was executed terribly.

scale, lore, character decision, animation, all of it is bad.

I'll summarize it for you

So the fall happens and now everyone lives in not mega city one, ok fine whatever, here's a doctor he's special because he's a doctor but he's also a bounty hunter and he comes from the magic mystery sky city. Here's Alita she is good at everything, let's play not rollerball, here's the love interest he's secretly evil don't tell anyone. Uh-oh doctor bounty hunter is jack the ripper but not really Alita is actually from Mars and finds a cool body in a space ship sitting in 4 feet of water 1 mile outside the city gates that no one has ever salvaged for 300 years.

Now doctor bounty hunter says you can't have cool body it is a weapon, then Alita takes secret evil boyfriend to bounty hunter bar after becoming a bounty hunter to get them to fight against the head of not rollerball because he's stealing cyborg parts. One of them has a cool martian sword and says no, then her body gets destroyed by a big cyborg and then she has to have evil weapon body, it gives her a larger butt.

Sword bounty hunter frames evil boyfriend for murder after he decides not to be evil, then Alita has to save him but can't because he has a bounty on his head so she cuts off his head and put it in her armpit but his head is actually hooked up to her heart and then takes the martian sword and it's actually her sword and now it glows blue.

Anyway it just keeps getting stupider and eventually she fights a big donut and the donut kills the boyfriend and she goes to play not rollerball forever.
