OHMSS and the Brosnan's are worse than all the Moore films. I rewatched Diamonds again the other day and that was dire too, about as disjointed as Majesty's. Going to have to rewatch them all now to reevaluate.

I still feel like they should do more with Felix Leither. It's 2019 and they still haven't fleshed out his character. I'm a fan of Jeffrey Wright but they shouldn've blacked Felix Leither. Or maybe they should have, but then they should've brought Bond's racist side out a bit more. It would've brought out a more interesting dynamic. The guy's an alcoholic racist womanbeater. The rest I agree with, books are pulp and thus the movies are at best B-tier. They sure tried to get to A, but they usually get very boring when they try.

I watched all the Bond movies in order when I was a kid and I distinctly remember being entertained as fuck by Moonraker despite it being fucking stupid. The climax where Bond goes into space is fucking stupid but the rest of the movie is entertaining at least. Plus there's honestly worse Bond films that came out before it (Diamonds are Forever, Man With The Golden Gun) so maybe I was grading on a curve but it was at least watchable.
Anyone answering anything other than the original Casino Royale has not seen it. It's the only one so bad it's not accepted into Bond film collections.

The Living Daylights is a top 10 Bond movie imo. Dalton was a great Bond for just doing that one. Licenced To Kill was so dull and disappointing.
Yes but it's an unofficial Bond movie, one not made by EON productions. So's Never Say Never Again admittedly but having Sean Connery in it tends to confuse people. It's due to the rights for Casino Royale and Thunderball being a confusing mess.

Quantum of Solace is a super good contender for the worst, or at least the least entertaining, Bond movie out of the official ones. The whole ultimate threat being somebody hiking up the price of water in some irrelevant backwards shithole is so undramatic it feels like a joke. Only thing helping it is that had a few competent action scenes at least.
Quantum is the 2nd best Bond movie after GoldenEye.

Casino Royale has a hazy, surreal quality often found in hollywood films influenced by the counterculture movement. I honestly liked it more than any other Bond flick.
