A shit ton of them passed out before they even got to the roof access due to smoke, other than that I'm not really sure, they probably panicked, the entire place seems like a fire hazard and was likely quickly engulfed. Also one of the employees managed to chase the perpetrator while on fucking fire, the police followed the bloody footprints to find the guy and arrest him.
