Here's the thing... first of all, I kill on stage.
>hey everybody we got Patrice in the studio...but first I gotta get into this uhhh thing with you know who
*30 minute inarticulate rant about Howard Stern*
listen to how he handled one of ant's best and quickest jokes
youtube.com
it's unbelievable how bad his instincts are for comedy but this is really beating a dead horse by now
what's the opester up to nowadays?
regardless, ron and fez was always the better show
Getting into Ron and Fez is hard since they don't really have popular bits like O&A and I fucking can't stand Fez's faggy voice
I despise Tits. Wanted everyone to treat him like radio Jesus and eat his pussy, even though he cannot take a joke and is otherwise insufferable to be around. He should have quit the show when he got married and turned into a fucking woman.
He'd always throw people under the bus when he argued with Ant and Jim, and also fake-claim some responsibility on the surface, but never ever meaning it. Fucking hack.
To be fair, if I correctly thought everyone I worked with was constantly talking shit behind my back I would also think gheir jokes at me were not rly jokes
Fuck off r/o&a autists. Radio isn't television or film.
i agree
fez was a bit that went too far but that was basically the whole show
i'd even say it's almost impossible to get into the show unless you want to queue up hours of it while playing a videogame or something. i absolutely hated it at first, but it is so fucking good once you figure out the pace of it. at the risk of sounding like a hipster i'll stop. it's just one of those things.

it's tough to even find anything to shill for that show because of how it went. the jokes took like a month
film isn't film anymore, my guy.
When will radio shows learn that no one except other callers like callers.
Bro, they had a tv show
>hold on Patrice and Louis, let’s see how Jesse can stomp all over one of the greatest jokes on O&A ever
youtu.be
>Patrice and Ant clearly gearing up to do an hour of great riffing on just one thing
>5-10 minutes in Opie railroads it aside to 'move along on the show'
This was always the worst. IF there's one thing Opie would constantly fuck up it was stepping on the funny when it was rolling. He could have literally sat back for an hour and enjoyed himself.
>it’s a opie can’t come up with any lines so he ends Ant and Jimmy’s fun episode
youtu.be
But look at Cumia now where he doesn't have someone to move things along. Harping on thexsame shit over and over
He also has no one to work off of.
good god
steering the ship
find me on example where opie moved things along to the benefit of the show
He has but they suck. So does Cumia.
My point is we can tell when a bit gets cut short or when it goes on too long. If Ant and Patrice talked about the same thing for hours and days after days we would say that they needed to 'move on'.
>My point is we can tell when a bit gets cut short or when it goes on too long
We can but Opie never could. He also moved things on when he was mad that he was getting left out or his jokes were bombing. Ant definitely needs someone to steer the ship but Opie wasn't great at it.
Opie was incredibly jealous of how well Anthony and Jim got along. It was pathetic.
Opie talks a whole lot more about Anthony then ever before, but both men still say there’s no chance of making up.
Honestly kind of sad they can’t even do a pay for view episode for Patrice or something.
As awful as Opie could be, the worst part of O&A were the guests. Outside of the regular comics and a rare specific celebrity, they were awful. The whole pace and feeling of the show changed and things were significantly less funny, less interesting, and less cozy.
Trivia with Bob Kelly, Vos, and Bobo is infinitely more interesting than a B list or even A list interview.
you're right on everything but vos. vos was almost always good
>Honestly kind of sad they can’t even do a pay for view episode for Patrice or something.
It really is, the last time Ant called Opie and it felt like O&A again. They truly need each other but they both don't see how they compliment each other.
Opie thought he was contributing, but all he did was step on bits. He's not funny, and all his stories were bullshit. O&A died with Patrice.
I want to hear the material where Opie talks about the show, and Anthony. Is there any way to hear those? I don't want to listen to his entire podcast just looking for the retrospective stuff.
With Ant, people upload TACS drama segments to youtube.
I've heard his side of things, and Jimmy's, but I want to hear Opie's.
I think Opie might have undiagnosed autism. it's the only thing that can explain his shit personality.
>They truly need each other but they both don't see how they compliment each other.
Ant is traumatized from having to deal with Opie's bitchiness. No one wants to work with a thin skinned faggot that will skip work and claim they're sick or having a family emergency just because someone made fun of their shirt. Likewise, Opie does not want to be the little spoon in the relationship, he's a control freak.
>pay for view episode for Patrice or something.
Why? So they can give his ex-girlfriend money for doing literally nothing? I can’t believe they still do the annual benefit for her.
