the only good part about that movie were those big ol wet titties

It's pretty good, but the first one was better. What did SM2 had over SM1 apart from a better villain design?

J.Jonah jameson was too damn perfect for this movie. Plus the whole holocaust denial scene still remains uncut until today. The director's cut is even crazier with the nazi stuff

Better character arc honestly.

Because it and its first sequel are exceptional, and people are still going to be talking about them long after the capeshit cinematic universe has faded into irrelevance and zoomers have ceased giving a crap about Spider-Twink.

bill pope

The train fight scene hasn't be topped though

Because casting Tom Holland as Spider-Man has triggered them into fits as they realise they’re too old to ever be Peter Parker and will never be that cute. Meanwhile Holland IS Spider-Man.

for movie reasons

The thing that spoils it are Tobey’s retarded faces, his gurning and straining flips the tone of the scene into camp schlock too much.

Good but
>In SM1 you could see Norman's fall into insanity unlike Octopus.
>MJ and Harry were sympathethic instead of annoying.
>Serious moments like the final fight in the warehouse which the second one lacked.

The first two Spiderman movies were the most human of them all. You could tell Peter had a life besides being Spiderman, same for the villains and side characters. Without that, you can make whatever fancy explosion of the whole universe and it won't feel like a threat.

>Holding off a 30 ton train travelling at 120km/h
>Struggles until spooderman almost dies
>"broo so fake his face is stupid he should've acted like its a normal thing , too juch amp schlock for me"

RAINDROPS ARE FALLIN ON MY HEAD

this, I'll take Tobey's grunts over RDJ's nonchalant facecam any day of the week

It’s not just the train scene, his acting is very akin to Orlando Bloom’s, it’s very hot and miss. But he’s not really holding off a train is he you wanker, he could control his face a bit more so he looks less like he’s trying to hold in a huge meal of bran muffins and chicory coffee.

That’s Stark’s character though, whereas Maguire can’t seem to decide how Spider-Man/Parker should be.

That was the last superhero movie I ever watched. I thought it was good.

BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN MY EYES WILL SOON BE TURNING RED

Mr parker pay attention you whiny queer faggot

Kill yourself mouseshill

Because they are capeshitting plebs, it's really quite simple you fucking retard

Fair enough.
SM1 also ended on a very sour and bittersweet note which I appreciated more than SM2's happy ending. SM1 can definitely stand on it's own and SM2 isn't just a "better" improved version.

its probably nostalgia as these were the first spiderman movies we watched

Spider-man 1 is the perfect super hero movie
Simple as

It was a different time

Dashboard confessional - vindicated.

This board is so fucking pleb it's unreal, all you do is talk about shitty capeshit movies

It's the one that start it all. The one that makes even a campy boy growing up story as a superhero can work. It was a simpler times.

it has arguably the best scene in capeshit movie history

It's not great but way better then half the shit out today. Also Tobey is a way better spider-man.

This comment gave me a sensible chuckle.

Who are you? Armond White?

which is why spiderman 3 was actually the best of all 3 films, but people can't get over the jazz scene

all capeshit movies are crap. PERIOD.

false, Tobey was the best Peter Parker, his banter was shit. Tobey's spiderman was too mature for someone who just got their powers

sadly Marvel is doing the same shit to Holland's, instead of letting him mature through battles, they just want him to be a mature person immediately. It took a lot of deaths around peter to make him the responsible person he is, not just 1. Movie hints that he didn't even really know his uncle ben, but Tony Stark's death is going to make him become a man? and his whore aunt moved on from Stark to Happy so quickly

I can't take Tobey's Peter seriously after the first one, he's too baby faced.
>The train fight scene hasn't be topped though
Nah, it was great back then because of how shit and limited cape fights were.

Someone report this bongfag for insufficient payments on his tv license

no armonds too busy making adam sandler shill threads

I'm 20 and think this is kino.

Anyone else think 3 is better than any of the "Homecoming" spiderman films?
For all it's narrative flaws, it's still a better film than pretty much all of the schlock produced by Disney/Marvel in the last 8 years or more. You can tell effort went into it rather than being designed by committee.

Yeah easily. I don't think either of them are bad movies but they're definitely lacking in substance. There are a handful of good scenes and that's it.
Spiderverse is definitely 3's equal though.
