You brought two too many
Is this the most kino shot in movie history? Post more kinos.
I was actually wondering why there was a nigger in this scene.
goat movie
Quintin Tarantino with the Bamboo water fountain in Kill Bill was probably a tribute to this. It's great. It shuts down the whole movie and creates a suspension. that is even palpable in the living room. It carries across.
George Lucas wasn't wrong when he said 70% of movies is sound.
While the opening scene of this movie is absolute western cocaine, I prefer the epic feel of The Good the Bad and the Ugly (epic as in Lawrence of Arabia epic, not meme epic).
what about silent movies
Its not even the most kino shot in the movie
(Sorry for shit youtube quality, don't have the remux available right now)
There are movies masculine as this today?
I'm ashamed to say I've never seen a Buster Keaton movie. It's on my list, but they're quite expensive.
>they're quite expensive
since when do you have to pay for piratebay downloads?
And what's the best shot of all time then?
Arguably the best movie
This one, of course
Is it even a contest?
Based taste
Silent films often have orchestras accompanying it
See Intolerance, excellent music so kinoest film
I love when Leone does drawn out stand offs like this, because they're laced with tension, so never get boring as a result. The tension is what other directors forget to ramp up when they try and copy him.
>you said my name
Has a movie so clearly and effectively defined a hero and villain throughout a setup of 2 scenes, those being the intro (where Frank is mentioned by Bronson) and this one? Hell, even the little smile he shows to the kid in the close up is so creepy it's amazing
Fully agreed.
Also does anyone have the gif/webm that show how harmonica will constantly enter the frame from the right and when he walks through the door at the end of the movie, exits left of frame?
Plenty on youtube lad
Wich one has the better ending, this, unforgiven or for a few dollars more
what is objectively the #1 western movie of all time?
Wild Wild West
Unforgiven's ending was really something else. Once Upon a Time in the West is a great movie but the ending was very predictable.
For me it's a tossup between this, for a few dollars more and The Searchers
All three are near-perfect movies
The Searcher fucking blows
It kinda reminds me of the ending of the great silence, was really not exepecting that one
Right said
They’re pretty much all available for free online, although you can get a Blu Ray set of all of his short films for $35, which is pretty good.
>movies that go way down hill after the first 2 scenes
So inferior to Good Bad Ugly
t. missed the point
You’re right, I missed the point of directing actors in a very boring way, which he didn’t do before and continued to do for America
Wild Bunch
>for a few dollars more
no
