Battleship Potemkin, Ivan the Terrible and Man with a Movie Camera are really great films. The montage and editing on those films is so fast-paced and abstract they're worth watching just to see how strange they can get.

Is not marxist. Leia is a classic hillary Clinton type character, out of touch and unloved by the masses. She is friends with jerk off liberal rich types like Laura dern’s character.
The entire view point of the movie is american, not very labor friendly (doesn’t feature a single laborer!), and has weird anti-worker inclusions like maz kanata putting down a union strike with armed force.
