Why was this the last good James Bond film? What happened to the franchise?

Quantum of Solace was garbage. I don't know why people like Skyfall, which was such a Nolan ripoff. I didn't even bother to see Spectre.

I couldn't get passed the intro of spectre. The CGI is terrible.

Compare it to the scene in Africa in casino royal. The chase all the way through a building site to the embassy

Skyfall > Casino

Bond didn't need a reboot, it just needed better stories. They went back to utter shit with Spectre. Actually I hate Spectre so much that I would throw it in the trash if I ever bought a 007 collection. It's dissapointing that the next one in line is a direct continuation, but it's looking like it's also going to be a dumpster fire.
Skyfall felt slightly more innovative by making the boss' lair be Bond's, not the villain's.

Skyfall is a poor imitation of a Nolan Batman movie.

I liked Skyfall, but Casino Royale is arguably the GOAT Bond film.

YOU KNOW MY NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME

Licence to Kill.

It was fine, what was so wrong with it?

I enjoyed most of Quantum despite them mostly abandoning the Bond tropes. I even liked the low key quips and choppy editing because it made it feel grittier.

>They didn't adapt Risico
>They didn't make a Felix Leiter spinoff
>They didn't make a Young Bond/Leiter teamup movie with top banter between the two over nationalities that ended with them becoming buddies and establishing a series of movies that are like buddycop movies, but with espionage and assassination missions instead of regular streetcop stuff.
>They didn't adapt multiple short stories or original stories into an anthology movie that folllows bond on various missions in an episodic manner.
A lot of things went wrong and the series is dead to me.

In what way?

Best bond opening

The villain is gay Joker who magically does whatever he wants because the plot demands it.

Unironically not a single good one since Goldeneye. It’s a dead franchise

That dosen't make it "Nolan" if the main antagonist can pull shit out of his ass

it wasn't. peak bond was dalton in license to kill, followed by brosnan in goldeneye.

Yes it is.

For the Craig era Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace are specifically tailor made for him. Skyfall and Spectre are both films that would have benefited from a different actor taking over.

Nah, The World is Not Enough has no notable flaws besides Richards.

Pros...
> Electra is the 2nd best seductress of the series... possibly the best.
> Solid male villain in Renard.
> Fantastic pre opening credits sequence & boat chase.
> Good ski chase.
> More use of the fun Russian gangster.
> Brosnan being awesome as usual.
> Good sub plot & use of M.
> Great score.
> One of my top favorite opening songs of the franchise.
> Richards looks damn good.
> Torture chair was a fantastic sequence.

Cons...
> Richards is a weak actress, I personally think she is not as horrid as people say, but she is poor especially when she is meant to be playing a nuclear scientist.

Casino Royale and Quantum are good. Sky fall and spectre are capeshit tier quipfests for retards who get warm inside when they receive fan service
