Lmao. Sad!

you never had an ass to begin with

Hopefully a D.W. Griffith box set, as a symbol of going full circle and returning to the original auteur and giving many of his features an HD release for the first time.

Otherwise, probably some politically topical Progressive™ choice.

They're releasing all of Flo's commercials on blu-ray?!

Plague Dogs

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, the state of "clever" and "intelligent" sóyboys.

This would be great, but they won't do it

hopefully werckmeister harmonies or something else by bela tarr, i'd take tarkovsky's the mirror too

All this speculation and watch it end up being some obscure, gay-ass shit from Abbas Kiarostami or Yorgos Lanthimos or whatever the fuck

Freaks (1932)

fun fact: criterion is a company like any other, and while they do important work restoring and distributing important arthouse cinema, they need money to do that, and so they need to release normie shit to make that money.

>Election
>Bad
What the fuck?

never said it was. still just a teen movie. same with breakfast club and rushmore.

You said it was "fucking garbage", dumbass

Wes Anderson is exactly the kind of shit to get into Criterion though.

shut the fucking up redditor nostalgiafag

It better be something of Griffith's

Uhhh... Okay, "prime Hollywood" isn't exactly a criteria because most of the films in the collection are not Hollywood

If it were, I'd prefer it be Broken Blossoms.

i know. but i think Bay really does a great job with "blockbusters" when was the last time you watched a film of his?

I like what said, as many of his films haven't gotten HD remasters

Godzilla boxset, the reason todays news release was delayed is because it needs to be aligned with Toho's panel at comiccon

Please be this, it's annoying how there's no good way to get all the physical versions of Godzilla movies.

The only movie that deserves it

I thought this board loved Riefenstahl?

no but this one is...
criterion.com/films/28030-following

>woman
>good director
pick one. people here only care about her because she made films for the nazis

>people here only care about her because she made films for the nazis
do some research pal

I just saw a blu ray box set of like 10 Toho Zilla movies the other day at fucking Wal-Mart. They're not OOP or anything.

Triumph of the Will sucks

what about the opening of Olympia? where she is comparing greek gods to athletic humans?

I'd probably be something super left-field. Honestly I could see The Room or another culturally important film being released.

It would never happen but honestly if they diversified and offered a bunch of classic art installations in VR I would be so happy. There is so much expanded cinema that people miss because they don't live with 8 roommates in Brooklyn.

The #1000 spine would also be a good opportunity to partner with archival companies and expand their online presence with the criterion channel, though I don't see that happening

>what about the opening of Olympia?
haven't seen it
>where she is comparing greek gods to athletic humans?
sounds gay

humph. mr ignorant. Olympia is about the 1936 summer olympics
youtube.com/watch?v=10JDA8SvwX8
watch this. its a rammstein song that uses a lot of Riefenstahl's cinematography from Olympia in their "official video"

It's ok but nothing special

>i don't like it + popular = fucking garbage
ok user

thats it. ive had enough of you. meet me out side of the tower of london so we can fight. is the weekend good enough for you?

i heard the whole michael richards blow up got this film
>puts on shades
blacklisted
>YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

UHF did get a nice Shout Factory blu ray transfer the other year

based retard, I'm not even going to give you examples. wallow in your distaste

that would be fucking amazing
I'm truly hoping it's the Godzilla box set, though

it's not going to be all of them, just the Showa movies

>people actually think it's gonna be a single release of some faggy wes anderson movie and not some box set
i hope its godzilla just to make the pseudes seethe

first part is goopy romanticism
she's good at crowd movement like at 2:04, something I noticed while watching Triumph.
please give me examples. I'd like to be proven wrong.

It's gotta be. If they can shill a free to watch movie like Night of the Living Dead, they can shill the most important one.
