No

not when you're not attracted to them, same as the other way around btw

ugly men are objectively better comedians than attractive men

Not as often as men. And when they are, they are usually funny in the same way kids are, like a cute, silly sort of funny rather than a witty sort of funny.

Stand-up comedy is jewish in its roots and in order to find it funny you need to be ingrained somehow in that mentality. In case here I find neither men or women funny when they are stand-up comedians.

Name ONE (1) genuinely funny female comedian, and post a representative example of their work

Just one, out of every woman on the entire planet.

I'll wait

The ones emulating male comedy can sometimes eek out one somewhat funny line during an entire set. It's like 99.9% unfunny but guys will laugh at the somewhat attractive ones out of involuntary instinct to want to fuck them

i'll bet you enjoy the films of wes anderson

I think girls can give funny deliveries, but only if it's written by a man. I like that movie Drop Dead Gorgeous
>as a proud Japanese-American
she's white as can be, she was just adopted by jap parents

I was on a stag party a few years ago and one of the things we did was go to a stand up comedy show. There were three acts of about twenty minutes each, one of whom was a woman. She was only around 25 years old, slim, good looking, obviously from a fairly upper class family, and exuded subtle levels of privilege. This was quite an unusual person to do stand-up. I was genuinely interested in seeing what her routine would be.

It was pretty much just gross-out jokes. Not quite "muh vagina" level, but not far off either. The audience was almost entirely working class men who were the kind of people who share horse rape videos with each other. It's very difficult to shock them. She could kind of tell she was losing the audience, and her response was to get louder and crazier, until the point where she was literally lying on the floor screaming upwards into the mic. It was kind of embarrassing for all involved.

Funniest moment of her routine? She did a joke about blow job etiquette and got zero laughs. She added "I did that joke at a gig in Dubai and almost got lynched." From out of the silence, a heckler said, with perfect comic timing, "Good." You know your routine sucks when the audience are funnier than you are.

I'm not sure what the take home message was. I do admire her for trying, but one of life's great frustrations is when something isn't great, isn't abysmal, but is just sort of stunningly mediocre.

BASED 1TIMOTHY KNEW HIS SHIT

why did you use a photo of a man?

Women can make you laugh in random moments in life but they don't really make great comedians

it takes a lot of courage to go up by yourself, let alone finishing, it takes no courage to yell from the anonymity of the audience

amazing

Maria Bamford is pretty funny.

UGH THIS WEBSITE

Kindly post a sample of her work for her to be considered itt

no it doesn't

its not like the owner of the venue could say no to a female without being listed as a wamen hater

it doesn't take courage because its not like they'll say no

>it takes a lot of courage to go up by yourself
Or a lot of conceit, coupled with a desperate need for attention, and the conviction that the world owes you a living.

only unintentionally

>i'll dismiss it as easy and/or bad even though i'd never do it in the first place!

OK, got it.

Ms. Pat is funny

Men are funnier women than women.

my first thought was Joan Rivers and here it is

based user. she is literally the only good female comic

Correct, Academy award winner Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers is a comedienne

Bill Burr after he goes MtF

The ugly ones are hella funny.

>it takes a lot of courage to go up by yourself
Why does that matter? Nobody gives a shit about how "courageous" she is if she ain't funny. It's stand up, not a battlefield, we are supposed to laugh, not hand out participation medals

Joan had this mix of classic Jewish schtick combined with an extensive knowledge of tabloids and fashion that let her really let loose. We'll never have someone like her again.

I like her

She did playboy

Natasha Leggero because she fully embraces the vapid whore shtick

Pack it up, boys. It's over.

>straight up calling Mexicans ugly and stupid

holy fucking based

>She added "I did that joke at a gig in Dubai and almost got lynched."

i´ve been in Dubai but that´s nothing to boast about since the whole country is traditionalistic and backwards as hell, you can´t even make out with a girl in public otherwise they throw you in jail

I unironically find Ali wong kinda funny

Well, if we talking haha funny, you know, jokes and the like, I would have to say, in that context, then no.

What is the explanation for women not being funny?

Women can be very funny. Some of them can even be hilarious.

But they aren't funny in the same way men can be funny.

seriously, fuck courage if youre not doing anything good with it.

Based. Not funny though

We like to laugh at the paddys

Also Irish and that shows the worst shit I've ever seen.

>The audience was almost entirely working class men who were the kind of people who share horse rape videos with each other.
wtf

That's a woman? I figured it was one of those guys who couldn't go through puberty due to a hormone disorder.

They have no practice at it. If you listen to a group of men talking, half of it is them trying to one-up each other with jokes, trading put-downs and banter.

Listen to women talking and it'll be detailed descriptions of events that have occured to them, discussions about their feelings and mutual positive reinforcement. None of that can be utilized in comedy.

On top of that, like always gets pointed out, being funny isn't going to help a woman get laid in the way it might a man.

Kathleen Madigan

Part of her routine is a story about her hitting on some guy's gf while he was standing right next to them at a bus stop and her getting beaten up when he mistook her for a bloke and she briefly experienced what life is like without female privilege protecting you.

comedy stems from hardship; life as a woman in the west in the current year is life in easy mode.

in other words, no, not at all.

I'm an ugly guy that isn't even very funny but women will laugh at absolutely anything which is why they are shit comedians

Tina Fey in 30 Rock

holy kek the seething 150 cm flat-nosed goblins in the youtube comments are dumb as shit.

Is it funny or does she play it as another non-joke? Is this the same person who made the Netflix comedy special and said jokes aren't allowed to be funny or something dumb?

Who is the woman that does a thing about eating like a monster or something?
Its especially bad with the audience cheering like its the funniest thing EVAR!

One of the goats male or female. Based Joan.

Yes, just not in comedy

Yes irl no OTI or in the movies

It's so tiring to have to put up with you /pol/ crossposting incels every fucking day of the week, I don't know if I want to keep visiting this board anymore. Every day you are bitching about something new, something that doesn't affect you in the slightest, and then you have the nerve to call other people 'sensitive' or 'snowflakes'. There's always something race or gender related bothering you, and for some reason you come to bitch here instead of staying in your containment board. You always come here and post the same comments, the same old memes, it doesnt matter what the subject is, you are going to say the same shit regardless. You're all so boring and repetitive, like an old broken record.

You are legitimately taking the fun out of this place. This board used to be great, but now it's turning to shit. You are driving old posters away and replacing them with more like-minded incels. I dont like this board anymore.

Uhhh... sort of? A woman's display of comedy is different than a man's; generally. Exceptions exist like Rosanne, but those are generally more masculine women. A man's comedy derives from projecting into the world and failing, whereas a woman's comedy derives from attracting the world and failing. That's why the "funny man" stereotype is usually a ignorant, bumbling fool, whereas the "funny woman" stereotype tends to be a ditsy, naive, do-gooder who can't get things right. Anna Faris's roles are a perfect example of this.

>Anna Faris's roles are a perfect example of this.
I love her.

Ms. Pat’s hilarious.
m.youtube.com/watch?v=0SaQNPG7U1E

I stopped at “Society dictates.”

>>
I thought that dude was hilarious, especially his bit about being raped kek

was anybody actually able to sit through this whole thing? i couldn't do it. i don't know how anyone stomachs this hyperpolitical "me me me" drivel that tries to pass itself off as entertainment these days. the optimist in me wants to believe the support for it is bought and paid for.

Lucielle Ball (i love lucy) and tina fey (30 rock) were great, fight me.

She never changes her material though.

No, they can sometimes be witty...and that's it.

I've heard a handful of women that were pretty funny.

Most female comedians end up shitty because they're not wanting to make themselves look or sound unattractive. Making them instead rely on creating an incongruity between their supposed nice looking normal selves and cutesy babble or gross out comments.

Lisa is. But she has a dirty mouth.

I've laughed at:

Anna Faris
Chelsea Peretti
Jen Kirkman
Joan Rivers
Kate McKinnon
Kathleen Madigan
Kristen Wiig
Maria Bamford
Natasha Leggero
Sarah Silverman
Sarah Tiana (Roast Battle S1)
Whitney Cummings

Women can be great comedic actors and write funny scripts, but for some reason cannot do stand-up comedy.

I can name a bunch of female comedic actors that I think are legitimately great (Kaitlin Olsen, Amy Poehler, etc), but not one stand-up comedian that is remotely funny.

Most men only want to listen to women as much as they have to. Being asked to pay money to listen to a woman on stage is a tough sell. Plus the fact that women have never had to be funny to get ahead in life means they don't have a natural talent for it. On top of that, their first instinct is to downplay their flaws which is the opposite of comedy. That's why female comedians seem so phony. It's always about their crazy families, or their periods, or sex, or something else personal because it's like they're just imitating what they think men joke about. You never have a female comedian like Mitch Hedberg pondering abstract concepts. I must say the one big exception is Joan Rivers. She didn't give a fuck and insulted everyone, which was funny because it wasn't safe and inclusive like so many females want to be.

That's the answer. Now can the threads end?

> are women funny?
yes
but that makes them extremely unattractive. Not just as a woman, but as a person. It's weird

Case in point is Melissa McCarthy. She was probably funny to someone which is why she's a star but if you saw her on stage, no matter how funny she was trying to be, what would you be thinking? You'd be thinking "lose some weight, this is embarassing". Men relate to women differently than other men and no amount of feminism can change that.

Men are okay seeing other men be funny because they're not attracted to them either way.
Men aren't okay seeing women try to be funny because if they're hot they'd rather fuck them than laugh at their jokes and if they're ugly they don't want to look at them or care what they have to say.
It's the hard truth.

If you can get attention in other ways (such as good looks), then there's no need to develop the skill of making other people laugh.

Most women can get attention by simply not being 100% ugly. But the uglier women have to develop a skill to get attention (like men do).

No woman ever got a man who didn't want to fuck her, want to fuck her, by being funny.

For men, being funny to women can get them laid.

For women, being fuckable in the eyes of men was never about being funny to begin with.

i think this is an unfair question when there are so few female comics and so many comics just aren't funny at all to begin with.

a small minority are funny; most of the time we are laughing at woman than with them.

Hannah Gadsby: Nanette (2018) has jokes for about the first half. Then she yells about how she was raped, & it gets super serious for the next half. Her whole theory is that humor comes from building tension then giving an audience release from that tension. It seems like she just wanted a soapbox to rant, and standup comedy gives you a microphone to do that.

>are women funny?
You can be funny with just one thing in mind, and that is a person's own sex appeal. A person's worth, her appearance, her social class have all been considered as reasons to laugh.

In any sex scene at all, we don't laugh. We can laugh in response to our sex partner's actions or to the actions of those around us. We understand that the sex acts are funny, but we simply laugh on the basis that women are funny.

I know we seem to go far when we say that we enjoy sex, but women are funny too – when they're on top. Just a few weeks ago, I took out my phone and captured the moment when my girlfriend put on a really good sexy top. She said this to me when I asked her out in a bar, and just like that, I could hear in the background, "Wow, you and your bestie are a thing now." Of course, that was a moment from earlier in the evening.

Not only are women on top, all kinds of women are sexiest. I am fascinated by that, and that's one of the things I love about pornstars: They are the sexiest women on earth. I'll have sex with anyone, just because I'm horny. I love when a woman puts on a sexy top, and I don

I think your bot broke.
