Comedians can be very powerul. It is my aim to become a court jester once again. Nothing better than getting laughter from a crowd. I've been to comedy shows, all that forced laughter. Not once did I walk away not thinking: " I can do this better."

The harsh and hard part of it is: you can't be funny for more than two years. Your personal life changes and your appearance changes. Societal changes do not matter though. That's the worst, for a comedian, it's you who changes. I can make a joke. But it's premeditated, it's no longer on the spot. Me making a face or saying things a certain way or at a certain moment would be enough to cause a riot. It's become very hard to tie people together.

Presentation, audience response and good old imagination. Take for example the tranny on Jimmy Fallon, he gets a really good response from Jimmy's audience for his skit, but go to his stand-up and he gets the clapter chuckle. This is different from someone like Louis CK who gets his audience busting their guts in his specials, retains great sketch comedy talent through his many years in that line of business and can even write a pretty darn good dramatic comedy ala the show Louie. They're all young and obviously don't have the years of nuance Louis does, so it's a really harsh comparison, but it's one I use to allow me to talk about potential.

The tranny could only get so close to Louie's stand-up, but he possesses the talent to catch up and possibly even surpass Louie's sketch talent if he hangs out with the right crowd (ditching Jimmy for one since his writers stagnated long ago). If I were him, I'd try my hardest to get on-board with a team led by a legendary stand-up, or SNL (as much as it sucks it allows for displays of talent and growth), or projects with past SNL members like Tina Fey but again not Jimmy or Seth Meyers.

Maybe it's just us imagining his talents in different ways. Check out that Jimmy clip, then think about something like Everybody Loves Raymond. Two different forms of comedy, Ray's being lesser and Ray himself being an honestly pretty underwhelming stand-up. Patti -seems- like a sketch writer. His brand lives and breathes the potential of the better sketch writers who failed in other fields of comedy. That's where Patti belongs.
