The Thing (1982) is pretty good. It hasn't aged well though. Its modern prequel The Thing (2011) is actually a little better. The prequel really ties the story together too. Its time to revisit a sequel for them both that takes the story farther. The Thing video game was supposed to do this but it sucks.

There is no conclict because if the thing gets access to any kind of populatio center or shit, even into the ocean humanity is done for. There is no reason for the thing to ever try to fight and thus no conflict.
