Rewatched it recently, it was excellent. Definitely one of my favorites. Every scene with the Rat was good.
what do you want to talk about?
The best boy (you know the one)
This and Akira are my favorite animated movies.
Of course.
yeah I know which one
That's a lovely choice. It's probably a top 10 film of mine these days. It's slowly grown on me and crept up there.
Based
BOGGIS, BUNCE AND BEAN,
Wes anderson is my favorite director
But moonrise kingdom, than Rushmore before this film.
It's literally an Ocean's Eleven ripoff
Correct
And that's a good thing
i like the scene with the wolf
What a beautiful creature. Wish him luck, boys.
KNOT
It's not even that good.
Moonrise Kingdom is only loved by pedos
Yeah top ten for sure. What is it about this guy that makes the films so good? Rewatched grand Budapest way more times than I ever expected to, and Moonrise Kingdom may be my dad's favourite film, he's 65.
i personally prefer moonrise kingdom but this film is still amazing. Wes' best technically executed film
I agree but it's one of my favorites.
Why no sequel
what he autistic? I don't get it
That's the worst boy. He wrote a bad song
Holy shit, that's some CLASSIC Paul Dano
I fucking hate this movie so much yet watch it every day
It'd be souless.
Shit movie, one anderson's worst and he's made a lot of trash.
George Clooney ruined the movie for me. I hate his raspy voice.
I WANNA SEX THAT SEXY SEXY CAT
>explosions, flames, burning things!
Where did a badger learn to make bombs?
To get into beehives remotely.
>generic uninspired creature mascot film that no one has thought about in years
>hurr its my favorite cuz i wanna fuck the animal
If you ever needed proof that furries are retarded and tasteless, here it is
possums act pretty retarded irl
It already is a sequel to the book, which ended with them stuck underground stealing from the farmers.
>tfw they have the ability to re-release this on 8K because all the stop motions were captured with a 40 megapixel camera
So, what is this movie? I'm compelled to watch it because I really like the setting of these types of movies, but it really looks like, "Let's remake Dead Poet's Society, but the students are younger..." and that's all the thought they put into it. It is worth watching?
Get checked for autism.
cuck ending up with used goods and regretting at having educated a trickster into the oval office
but it is very comfy
you could replace him with Tim Allen and only get positive results
wait a minute that's not a fuzzy stop-motion critter
that's a SLUT
>his accomplishments cannot be found in any history book
That's one of those lines that make little sense and just assumes the audience doesn't think at all about what they are watching.
There's nothing wrong with the voice. Worse is his is underacting, or his inability to do a subtle performance of a movie that needed it from its lead.
Cuss.
Sorry, but when I posted a non bait thread about ZT earlier it got removed and I got a warning. Please remove that image or else I will be forced to call my mom. That's not allowed here
cope
LET HER DANCE WITH HER BRAND NEW LOVER
fuck you nigga this is a world I wanna live in
jesus christ user
This fox is hot
She's the town tart
no CG people-with-animal-bodies allowed in my comfy animal people thread
smartphones should stay the fuck out of children's movies
Fucking stop motion garbage flick and I love wes Anderson
I don't get it.
its because he conquered which is bad,we all know conquerers were bad people
If I see that motherfucking cat one more time...
Genuinely this
It’s shocking that every furfag somehow manages to have shit opinions on everything
Could've done without the self insert as a white faggot fox
When I first watched this movie in High School, this scene really got me. I still think about it from time to time
>It's literally an Ocean's Eleven ripoff
you couldn't be more of a retard
>DUDE WES ANDERSON SUCKS
Yeah, that's why almost every one of his films are on Criterion?
Then again, I only like his Tennanbaums, Mr. Fox and Darjeeling. Rushmore I need to be in a mood for.
His newer ones, what, Moonrise Kingdom and uh whatever came after that, felt the lack of charm he usually had in his films. Just felt a bit empty.
>just bought the Criterion version after never owning it on any media
Are any Criterions even mastered at 4K yet?
Oh, and like Rushmore, same with Zissou. It's a bit bipolar.
No, Criterion is waiting for 4K mastering systems and practices to mature and stabilize.
the only good wes anderson film
Fuck. I better hold off on my 4K purchases. Any idea when, user? We talking 5+ years you think?
I don't like how this scene is basically in the movie twice (this one and the one in the sparkly cave). It's basically the same dialog
I bet you enjoy the films of Wes Anderson
What did the Rat mean when he called Miss Fox the town tart?
Yes.
I’m a ghetto elementary school teacher (4th/5th) and I show this every year right before thanksgiving break. Kids love the hell out of it and will actually watch it- no talking or zoning out- they actually pay attention. Haven’t shown isle of dogs yet. Thx for reading my blog.
they'll probably be alright; this isn't nearly as sexualized as all the other talking animal movies people get exposed to as children
I thought """people""" would just foam at the mouth when being shown a film by Wes Anderson.
nah man people are alright
legit kino
this was wasted on me as a child
this belongs miles above any avatar thread
please don't die
was it the 'tism or the gay?
I don't understand.
Did they ever use real animal specimen?
wait, are you implying they used taxiderms to animate?
Only the semen for the sex scene
Unfortunately, maybe not, since the film was mastered in 2K (adding visual effects and whatnot).
Hopefully, spine #1000 would be the first 4K release.
I really wish it's gonna be Blade Runner.
I’m sorry you missed out on young love. Exploring the body of my 13 year old girlfriend when I was 12 is a pretty pleasant memory.
Stop it
Well did they?
IWTFTR
I have never seen it, but I loved Isle of Dogs so I'm curious about it now.
>I really wish it's gonna be Blade Runner.
Just after I bought the 4K Final Cut again... which is one of the few 4K remasters out there that are 10/10 by various places grading blurays.
Same goes for the Matrix, and I forget the two others.
The way I saw it explained was Mr Fox was constantly going on about being a wild animal, yet was domestic (clothes, eating with utensils, living in a home, etc) compared to a real wolf.
Anyone think this should've won the Oscar over Up?
cussing great movie
yeah that always confused me a bit too
what's the point?
like the second time he comes up with a solution and you could say it's a callback but IDK
I went to Northern in Flint
the struggle is fuckin real
Wait I really hate furfaggots but I love the film!
It's a masterpiece
I remember loving the ads when I was in hs but for whatever reason I never got around going to the movies. Years later some user on Yea Forums made a torrent dump worth 7 gb of links and Fantastic Mr. Fox was there. I adored it from the beginning, it really is one of those movies that are simply perfect. It's hilarious, cute and fucked up all at once. I legit wasted years not watching this sooner.
It's my favorite movie of all time, so much so I opted not to lose my virginity while trying to watch it
deffo one of the most rewatchable movies because of all the lil details
boggis bunce and bean...~
It's definitely up there in my favorites, right besides Chicken Run.
Yes.
It also should've been nominated for Best Picture over Up.
The Hurt Locker didn't deserve to win.
Fantastic Mr. Fox deserved to win Best Picture, even more than Avatar ever did.
This would be true if Oscars had any credibility whatsoever.
Yes.
It's such a shame.
I actually really loved Avatar but Fantastic Mr. Fox deserved the Best Picture win.
god damn every scene of this is kino
I love that
I prefer Life Aquatic
Noah Baumbach cowrote this and Life Aquatic.
I tried watching Squid & The Whale and Margot At The Wedding. Hated both. Some of the most miserable cringe movies I've ever seen.
It makes you realize how in addition to the positive qualities of Wes' movies, they also avoid the trap of thinking that good movies have to make the audience feel bad. The problem is not that mainstream movies are too happy and positive. The problem is that they're just not made well. Make good movies that make the audience feels good. Noah Baumbach movies are more cringey than the Office UK.
furries hate it because it's legitimately tender and not just cute
Remember when discussions about Wes Anderson films were factually impossible on Yea Forums because of:
>Do you enjoy the films of Wes Anderson?
and /letterboxd/ elitists shooting threads down as well?
I feel conflicted because every single person ITT seems to be a newfag but at the same time it's the only genuine discussion of Mr Fox I've ever seen on Yea Forums...
I'll allow it
