The ramps were remote-controlled. He pulled it into the truck and sat inside waiting for Marty. He couldn't have it out in the open, waiting for a kid that might not show up. He may have been tinkering with its interior components in the meantime.

It's simple. He lied about Einstein being the first to test time travel. This whole thing was a charade to throw Marty off Doc's trail because, of course, Doc was very experienced in time travel. He had been using the Delorean to travel into past to rape Marty's hot mom, over and over and over...he must have done it about 10,000 times by my calculations. And because the Doc was so experienced, so cocky about his mastery of time travel, he drove the truck into that Parking lot, went back in time to fuck Marty's mom, then drove back to the future into the exact position that would land the Delorean inside the truck. It's all so obvious.

When it was in his garage he simply drove it into the truck with the remote control. And discounting that, he simply pushed it. Perhaps the truck had a winch inside that he used to pull the car into place, and then he ratcheted the rear wheels down like anyone hauling a car might. And he was "shoe string" about the whole thing.
Getting it into the truck unoccupied isn't weird, it had a fucking remote AND he understood simple physics.
