Rank the films
I need to rewatch them all first.
0/10
1 > 3 > 2 > the rest are shit
3 > 6 > 1 = 2 > 7 > 8 > 5 > 4
They're all rather dull
4
1
3
2
5 = 7 = 8
Every other film ever made
6
I remember seeing the first one in cinema because I was a Harry Potter fan as a child, and even with 10 I noticed how much it sucked.
Apart from that I only remember the third one being somewhat entertaining because it had something creepy and comfy about it
based.
3 > 6 > 2 > 1 > 5 > 7 pt1 > 7 pt2 > 4
4 wasnt that bad, 5 was worse
it seems like 7pt1 is rated pretty low on RT and metacritic compared to the other films in the series. i remember it being pretty good probably enjoying it more than pt2. what gives?
Actually this.
7pt2 was basically all fanservice and flashy explosions and shit while 7pt1 was slow paced and more about the characters
1>2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>shit>>>the rest
The first 3 > the rest
...
The third definitely had a great atmosphere to it, and one of the few great time-travel plots I've seen.
The first two are pretty comfy family movies, and have a fun world to get lost in.
But after Voldemort comes back in 4 it turns into generic YA trash. If you start thinking of all the things iconic to the Harry Potter franchise, you'll realise they all come from the first 3 movies/books. The rest added nothing.
I honestly got spooked by that giant stone head in 2 when i saw it as a child. I don't know why, but mystical structures ( ofthen also associated with water) have always made me uneasy.
Three is the best because that's the one where Hermione has budding little boobs.
The rest are good, they're better the more Dumbledore they have in them desu.
3 > 7 > 8 >6 > 5 > 2 > 1 >4
3/10
The one where Harry rapes all the Ron sisters and the mother, makes Ron suck out the cum so they don’t get preggo then cuts of Ron’s finger and makes all the girls drink incest blood to cast a orgasm contorl spell so forever after they can not cum without incest, I.e. Ron getting them off. They can get as horny and disperlently close as they want with thier boy friends but if they actully want release they have to shamefully submit to incest with Ron.
Harry did this for laughs I think, I think it was number 6? (Implied)
3 definitely had a tim burton feel, and he was definitely popular at the time
i think cuaron did a better job than what burton would have done with the script
not bad. i agree with this one
havent seen the pasta in a while...
just realized that's the same guy who wrote and produced children of men, that's a 10/10 one
Am I the only one who never watched a single Harry Potter movie? I'm in my 30s.
He did. Burton is a hack.
Nah I think Burton has good films it just wouldn't have suited the story
>But after Voldemort comes back in 4 it turns into generic YA trash
I'm curious, explain? Does it begin to follow certain YA tropes or is it something different? And are you talking about just the movies or the books as well?
Movies and books, though I felt it more in the movies because of the change in actor for Dumbledore (who turned the character from a quirky, jolly old man to being perpetually serious and pissed off), and because just visually the movies turned darker and greyer.
Everything goes all 'mature' by adding death and violence because that makes it for adults right?
Every book has a forced romance subplot.
The setting goes all dark and gritty compared to the whimsical feel of the first two movies. There's no more discovery or wonder, just endless amounts of pointless death and misery.
3 > 2 > 6 > 1 > 7 > 4 > 5 > 8
>There's no more discovery or wonder
I feel like that would have got tired pretty quickly desu
How can wonder get tired? They're pretty much opposites.
I'm going to rank them by how attractive Hermione is in them.
2>3>4>5>6>7/8
cute tier: year 1
The too much
>winspy
Is one of the main jokes people abountht efilm
>because of the change in actor for Dumbledore (who turned the character from a quirky, jolly old man to being perpetually serious and pissed off)
I can wholeheartedly agree there. No offense to Gambon but he drove the character down a completely road than how the books established him, and it showed. He showed far too much overactive emotion whereas Dumbledore always came across as in control no matter the situation, which made sense given his tenure.
no i mean it would've got repetitive and stale. even columbus recognised it and made the second film much darker. and i mean it makes sense for the films to get progressively more darker as the kids grow up, lose their innocence and the danger of voldemort&co becomes more prevalent and apparent etc.
3 > 6 > 7pt1 > 2 > 1 >7pt2 > 4 > 5
what's everyone's interest in half blood prince it seemed pretty similar to 5 and 7pt1
>Every book has a forced romance subplot.
To be fair, they're 14-18 in the last books, a greater love live is to be expected than from 11-13.
They were badly done plots, but they could have had place.
I'm watching them in order at the moment. I've just finished 4. That movie is underrated.
That's hardly a defense though. It's just a major factor in why teenagers make for shitty protagonists.
