Maybe in 20-30 years when culture shifts. But right now it's looking like a no. The closest you're going to get is THE POWER OF MATH PEOPLE HECK YEAH!!!!

will anyone care in 30 years though?

They did after 30 years of ToS.

As few shits as I give about fan productions, unfortunately they're the only semblance of "real" Star Trek left around.

The Orville is okay.

>2D map of 3D space

Am I just supposed to believe that the territories go on forever along the Y axis?

How the fuck did the hirogen create that sensor network

>Star Wars: Clone wars not god-tier

do you not know how galaxies work my dude

Star Trek is for toddlers.

But they say nigger on it, that's not a toddler word.

Why can't euros do decimal points correctly? Why do they use commas over periods?

its dumb but there isn't a tool that can map X,Y and Z and holograms aren't accessible instead we have Instagram filters

>LEXX in very low tier
>forgot killjoys
meh tier list

Because that is the correct way to do it.

If the Ferengi were blacks instead of jews, would their leader be the Grand Niggus?

Dumb question: Are galaxies really organized on a somewhat "flat" what surface ? Like is that map somehow accurate ?

Galaxy maps like those are horribly retarded. Spheres of influence like those already net you millions of star systems for you to play around with

Yes, the supermassive black hole theorized to exist at the center of every galaxy is likely to spin, and thus draw all of the stars in the galaxy to follow the spin axis, which aligns them as a 2d disc in 3d space.

based zoomer outting himself

post star maps

Most stars are useless, there's less than a 1% planet habitability rate.

Hirogen comm network was such a fucking retarded idea

You don't need habitable planets to label them as useful. They in themselves could be abundant in natural resources, not to mention the stars themselves. You can build a swarm of artificial habitats around it to populate these systems

You don't need natural resources when you have fusion power and replication.

So why do fuckers in that world try to fight for shit if they could simply live in a welfare state that caters to all of their needs, including that of waifus?

Doesn't seem like it.

RIP Star Trek 1966-2001.

Along the Z-axis, the galaxy is only about 1000 light years "tall." That's still huge, but nothing like the XY axis.

If it takes Voyager 70 years to reach Earth on that map, then it would take like 5 years to cross just the Federation. How does the Federation keep itself together? Keep in mind that Voyager is unusually fast.

>Dominion territory is half the size of Borg territory
This is ridiculous considering how powerful the Borg are and how easily they can boost their numbers.

The Borg don't really care about expansion except when there's something worth expanding into, which generally means other races with neat tech.

Voyager had a fuckton of plot devices that allowed them to reduce the journey time. I recall a caterpault, Kes, at least two different types of warp, transwarp, Q, at least one wormhole, subspace corridors and the Borg network.

The 70 years was a figure given in the first episode that assumed there would be no plot devices. We know it takes the Federation's fastest ship 70 years to cross that distance without crazy alien tech or wormholes, so the Federation itself would take years to cross.

I think the Borg were a missed opportunity. I would liked to have seen supermassive Borg superstructures built around stars to harness their output to power their local fleets.

>How does the Federation keep itself together?
Isnt it essentially a idealised fantasy of the elusive socialist utopia? Everyone does their part and pitches in to keep things running for the greater good.

Yes. The simple explanation is that spins and forces resolve and cancel each other out until eventually there's just one and in one plane.

Look how close the Federation is to the edge of the galaxy. Why are there no stories about explorer ships leaving the galaxy to investigate the space between galaxies?

It would takes thousands of years to travel the distance even at maximum warp.

Empires on earth did just fine with years of seafaring between them and their other holdings.

Voyager managed to travel that far in just 7 years? I know they had a few shortcuts but it was never anything major, it should have taken them 30 years to get to that transwarp hub judging by that distance

see

If Steven Spielberg was in Star Trek you could call him Steven Spielborg.

>How does the Federation keep itself together?
Subspace communication allows instantaneous FTL transmission. I think Federation space is usually wayyyyy overblown in these maps, as the longest transit time mentioned is weeks.

>nobody wants to captain the first manned vessel to leave our galaxy
>nobody wants to explore stars and planets that lie in the void between galaxies
>nobody wants to look out of the window and see the milky way galaxy staring back at them

No. It is controlled by people with agendas other than quality Trek. It is gone for our lifetime. Only in a future where absolutely everyone can make shows and fan fic is high quality media can Trek come back.

>2 dimensional map of the galaxy.

LOTGH in God tier is literally the only correct thing on this list

>DS9 being on the same tier as TOS
>DS9 being on the list at all

>Still nothing but empty space. Crew is bored out of their minds. Holodeck 3 is down again, too much semen in the recyclers.

RIVITING

>to boldly go where noone has gone before

Why would they be awake?

>empty space
Intergalactic space isn't empty. Also it's fiction, just make something up.

>Why can't euros do decimal points correctly?
Oh the irony is so heavy in this one an MRI would kill you

I've read that solar systems form a little bit similarly, with all of the material that forms the star and planets spinning around, causing the planets' orbits to form within a few degrees of each other. Do you know if a solar system's plane can be perpendicular to the galaxy's plane?

Why make a show about that when you can just make a show that either isn't about exploring space or is a prequel that doesn't move beyond the reaches of space that were uncovered by DS9?

no but the way i see it is that we had a good run. 10 films and 5 TV shows (6 including TAS). It's sad that it's ended but at least we got that.

OA is for pseudo-intellectuals and faggots.

No good reason.

Never.

There's The Orville.
