Started a little before this stuff got out of hand, so all the main cast members were already there. They got a bit grrl power towards season 6 and 7, but really I don’t think anyone working on the show knew what they were doing. It would have probably been a smart idea to introduce a bunch of racially diverse characters, because then they would’ve had SOME good press from SOMEONE, instead of everybody hating the finale.
