bad
pretty bad. 3rd one got the format right but was still awful, i imagine a 4th one might have been ok with a decent writer
Bad just fucking bad
First one was ok, second was literal dogshit, third was good.
>*plays beastie boys in your path*
First one is a decent film but a god awful Trek film. Into Darkness is the worst Star Trek film of all time, complete and utter garbage. Beyond was pretty good.
They were generic sci fi action movies with nothing particularly memorable or special about them. All of them have the same villain wants revenge with his doomsday weapon and the enterprise gets blown up. The definition of disposable.
there was no nothing format other than good writing, 3 was a piece of ultimate shit that made ZERO fucking sense from start to finish
Heretical sacrilegious trash. They should have done more TNG movies after a break; they did too many in a comparatively short space of time. Though Stewart and Spiner had to fuck it all up with their story and wage demands.
They were awful and the worst thing ever done in the franchise's history. Even worse than that episode of Voyager where janeway turns into a lizard
This. It's not Star Trek. It's generic tentpole action franchise indistinguishable from capeshit and soi wars, which is exactly how JewJew likes his films
opening scene of first was great, terrible everything else
beastie boys trek is gayer than man fucking
you cant make star trek into capeshit action movies
they tried it with the tng movies and it didnt work and they tried it with the reboots and it still didnt work
when will they understand that star trek isnt a star wars skin?
>Stewart and Spiner had to fuck it all up with their story and wage demands
how so?
They were better than the TNG movies, but not as good as any Star Trek series except Discovery. I'd rather a series about the JJ crew.
Also pic related is what SHOULD be the next cast for a series.
they were all bad. the best one was the kobayashi maru one where they played everything wrong
i really liked all three of them
JJ's movies were beyond bad, they were utterly atrocious. The third one, without Abrams, was quite fun but suffered greatly from having to be in continuity with the first two.
Bad, they were more entertaining Star wars movies then what we got
Forgot to mention, as big an atrocity as the Abrams stuff was... it is golden compared to Discovery.
fucking terrible. Beyond only tricks you into thinking it's good because JJ didn't direct it and it wasn't as absolutely retarded as Into Darkness.
have sex.
ok movies, but nothing memorable in the whole series, except psycho-spock, in a funny kind of way not in a good kind of way
this, ok movies to watch, but totally unremarkable and terrible star trek. it reminds me of the A-Team reboot movie, it's fun to watch but you forget about it after 3 minutes of walking out of the theater
>what does Yea Forums really think about the Star Trek reboot movies?
According to this chart, Yea Forums thinks JJ's Trek films are for turboplebs.
>that blade runner poster
le mao
As a moviechad this is accurate
They where ok for an action movies.
Dog shit. And this is coming from a guy that unironically enjoyed Nemesis.
That doesn't prove any point but that you have shit taste.
Good post
Reddit opinions. Kys.
Fucking this. Why are so many morons praising Beyond? It's even worse than Into Darkness. The only decent out of the three was the first one, and that was an ok sci-fi action flick to watch when you're hungover.
>when will they understand that star trek isnt a star wars skin?
Never.
reddit loves nu-trek though
It's been reported they always wanted more money for each movie and it's evident that Stewart and Spiner had more power and were getting into the production side of it as well, which influenced the story. Stewart wanted Picard to be an action hero, which never rang true. That fucking buggy scene in Nemesis is case in point, as is the entire flawed premise of Insurrection.
Terran movie when ?
what's terran
09 had everyone hopeful
ITD murdered the franchise dead then raped it's still warm corpse Infront of its family members
Beyond is ok but only because pegg helped salvaged JJs bullshit
Nothing is as bad as into darkness. It's a master class in ruining your IP and alienating your audience.
Even normies who spend more time texting than watching hated into darkness, it's that poorly directed. Beyond at the very least resembles a movie.
I think both films are horrible, but I would say that Into Darkness more resembles a film. Beyond was so incoherent, it dragged out pointless scenes and hastily skipped the important ones. I've only seen Beyond once, and Into Darkness about three times (fuck me), so I might be misremembering Beyond, but I still have no idea what that movie was even about.
Beyond was okay. The other two are garbage.
>Even normies who spend more time texting than watching hated into darkness, it's that poorly directed.
All the non Trek fans I know loved it. The people who cared about previous Trek on the other hand...
Enjoyable as action romps with Trek wallpaper, though the writing occasionally let things down ("KHAAAAAAAAAAN"). Still far superior to shit like Nemesis.
They were fun for a single watch through, but that's pretty much it. Urban as Bones was probably the best thing they had going on for them. Saldana as Uhura was good. Nu Spock was decent as well.
