mpv. It caters to my autism.
KMPlayer
I load my kinos in Sony Vegas project file and watch them in preview mode
An Apple Tv and VLC Player
>mpv. It caters to my autism.
Nice
I use:
Desktop: mpv
TV: Kodi
Phone: mpv
Tablet: mpv
Yes, it's Pic related
The Windows 10 Films & TV app
MPC-HC for webms
I will admit VLC is total SHIT on desktop but the Android version is becoming the best video player, especially if you have Android TV or a FireTV stick. The SMB/UPNP/FTP/NFS feature is great. I can stream all my kinos from my desktop.
I have no problems with VLC, whats wrong with it?
The desktop version is a huge buggy mess. The Android version is fine because it is built from scratch on Android libraries.
I use VLC but hate the aesthetics. What's a good alternative?
What OS?
windows 10
Have you tried Films & TV, it's good
I use it to watch my shemale porn for years, no problem
I play them with a computer or my TV, why would I watch movies on a traffic cone?
What's wrong with VLC? I use it all the time, and I never get the issue of the screen messing up. Plays everything just fine.
mpc-hc, mpv, potplayer, smplayer
OP is baiting. Everybody use vlc, it's the best.
how do you view the last frame of a video on an android device? vlc and mpv close the video when it gets to the last frame
use the keep open command on mpv
plug in my external harddrive into my tv and watch the movie
how?
>plug in my external harddrive into my tv
what a waste of time
ok
a tv
It takes 10 seconds but ok
A tv connected to a blu ray player to play my physical media
I just stream all the torrented movies from my PC to my TV over my router with Kodi.
It's sometimes buggy, but when it works, it works.
LAV Filters Megamix + MPDN.
Seems I'm the only one.
>LAV Filters Megamix + MPDN.
lol
VLC struggles to play the hi def rips of Attack on Titan without having a siezure
PC: Either K-Lite Codec Pack Mega or CyberLink PowerDVD
TV: webOS (I have an LG OLED TV), NVIDIA Shield, Apple TV 4K or Oppo UDP-205 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player
I prefer physical media but I stream or watch digital copies from time to time.
What is wrong with that? I've tried other players like MPC-HC, VLC & PotPlayer, but the video playback was always choppier.
was replying to
MX Video Player
I use mpv and my playback is perfect.
Really? I've never had any issue with it
>he watches kino on his telephone
>when it works, it works
It always works, but I've never watched any anime, so I couldn't tell why these autists are so against it
VLC is fucking fine and has been for 15 years, fix your shit if it's broken, never had any problems
123movies
Sometimes you're in bed and you want to watch a new episode of Mike Tyson Mysteries on your phone instead of going to your laptop to download it.
plex server on desktop streaming to roku sticks in tv’s
>potplayer
This is the correct answer
david lynch never saw this coming
Mpc-be with madvr
Netflix
my 10 years old dvd player in the living room
recently I've transitioned back to vlc as I find mpv can be wonky recognising subtitles at times and I never have that issue with vlc.
>mpv can be wonky recognising subtitles at times
I just use the "fuzzy" option and it always works.
I use MPC-HC
whoops I mean mpc, not mpv - which I should probably try
>MPC/VLC/steam over desktop on main monitor
>mirror to TV just above it that I only turn on when in bed
>TV is angled to be perpendicular to where my head is when in bed
>wireless mouse/kb remote next to nightly vitamins and water bottle on headboard
>headphone extension running from speakers to headboard in case I want my AC on (wireless headphones were shit)
gross
Why?
VLC can't be buggy when it's not buggy.
Using VLC since aeons and it never let me down a single time, plays all video formats and has a shit ton of options available plus skinning for the eye_catch_faggots.
There is literally nothing wrong with VLC.
Also it allows finer tuning of playback speed over MPC, which is good for those marathon movies.
this
No one is going to mention that VLC had a huge exploit recently? I hope you guys have updated to the latest version.
>There is literally nothing wrong with VLC.
pleb spotted
>There is literally nothing wrong with mpv.
pleb spotted
Fuck off mpv shills.
vlc shills all over this thread. it's a player for women
I don't get the "VLC sucks" meme
I've tried the apparently-better alternatives and there's always some feature I find more convenient on VLC, can't be bothered to tinker around just to get it on the same level regardless of how much "better" or more reliable they're supposed to be
for me Its MPC-HC + madVR
I dunno I just play it on my smart tv
Uhm, A TV? Who the fuck watches movies on a pc lol? I mean don't get me wrong but if you like movies enough to go to a movie board what the fuck are you watching movies on a pc for rotfl
>vlc shills all over this thread.
No, it's just people wo aparantly use VLC without issues since ages.
But i find a several mpv-shill threads larping about mpv being the best player, while people constantly post about issues with this shitty non-menue-player.
Then some mpv shill comes around and tells them to script kiddy the player into oblivion to make it work.
But sure, superior player .......
I have no words for such autism.
VLC fucking works OUT OF THE BOX since 6 gazillion versions on all fucking platforms imaginable, while mpv isn't even able to have a context menu.
So tell me user, how are all the mpv threads channel4 gets spammed with not shill threads?
divx
I have set up a projector to see my films here.
Ace player to stream.
Been using vlc with no problems for nearly 10 years
Same here, but i'm sure, there will be an mpv-shill claiming that you never were really satisfied with VLC, that you had a shit ton of problems with it and you better should use mpv because VLC being buggy.
Hating VLC is a beloved old meme.
>VLC fucking works OUT OF THE BOX
So does mpv, retard
>it's kino time
>prep the bull
MPC-HC with madVR
does VLC even have a sub search yet?
...
Same. How long has it been around, nearly 2 decades? I've never encountered a single problem, ever, with vlc. Not a single crash. Christ, it will even play (what it can) of huge videos you've only downloaded a few megs of, its the only player I've seen that can do that. Handy when you know you're onto a good porno and want to crank one out asap.
This tbqhwyf
Its had vlsub plugin for years dude.
Media player classic
>So does mpv, retard
Sure nigger, that's why people constantly post scripts to get this shit player of an abomination to work.
May i laugh, or is it too much for your nerves?
>that's why people constantly post scripts to get this shit player of an abomination to work.
they post scripts to make it use their GPU even more if they have a really beefy gpu. it works fine out of the box you fag. I use it on a laptop with no gpu and it is fast as fuck. all I had to do was change the subs to my preferred font.
>they post scripts to make it use their GPU even more if they have a really beefy gpu. i
This sentence makes no sense at all.
My old 755 mobile GPU from 2013 does the job well on about 10% from possible 100%.
I read these threads well and mostluy people hack around in shitty vlc is for audio and video displaying issues.
Muuhhh frame drops here, lost audio there, can't display colors, it's blurry and all this shit.
Stop larping idiot.
shitty mpv i ment
>This sentence makes no sense at all.
It makes perfect sense, retard. Their scripts enable the options for people with beefy gpus and do more stuff like debanding, higher quality upscaling,, etc. They also add more features to the player and customize things like the UI and the subs, etc.
You're just mad that people use something other than what you use.
Does vlc or mpc-hc have seek preview?
kek
I have never encountered shit like this tho
Who skips through kinos?
mpchc at least does, don't know about vlc
You sure about that? I know mpc-be does. But mpc-hc?
>who seeks through a video file?
Seriously? People watch all types of media, not just movies. And it's nice to be able to find a spot without interrupting playback.
>It makes perfect sense, retard. Their scripts enable the options for people with beefy gpus and do more stuff like debanding, higher quality upscaling,, etc. They also add more features to the player and customize things like the UI and the subs, etc.
Bullshit. It's moslty about mpv not playing this and that correctly.
I read the shill threads reagulary on /g/ and it's all over the same shit again and again.
>You're just mad that people use something other than what you use.
I'm not interested in what other people use. Hence i give a shit about it.
But when mpv shills like OP pop up, you clearly see who can't cope with it when people use a different software than he does himself.
>mpchc at least does
no it doesnt
zoomers, millenials and all this cattle shit with 15 seconds attention spans
>It's moslty about mpv not playing this and that correctly.
lol what? it plays everything correctly. those are entirely optional things for people with bigger hardware and other customizations and you have no idea how to express that bullshit you spouted other than "this and that correctly".
You faggot shill.
What other media players can make webms on the fly?
github.com
or
github.com
I've used pic related for 8 years to watch movies on my shitty laptop. Never updated it, still the same version I downloaded 8 years ago, and for some reason the only media player that never lags or bugs when playing hd, 1080 movies.
iina
It doesn't help if you repeat the same shit over and over again. Most of the comments in mpv shill threads are about issues with the player freezing, not playing videos correctly and stuff.
Sure, some discuss about optimizing details, but equally many have problems.
Stop ignoring this.
>Most of the comments in mpv shill threads are about issues with the player freezing, not playing videos correctly and stuff.
I've never had the player freeze or not play anything correctly and I've never seen anybody say what you're talking about. Those options are completely optional. I only change my subs settings. I barely touch it and it works.
What a cute duck
fuck ofd back to /g/ with your tranny trash faggots
>I've never had the player freeze or not play anything correctly and I've never seen anybody say what you're talking about. Those options are completely optional. I only change my subs settings. I barely touch it and it works.
And you know what?
I don't even care. Use what you like and prefer, and if it works, it's fine.
People all the time larp about VLC being shit, but can never make out a single detail why that would be the case.
They larp about VLC lagging and bugging, but in the nearly 20 years i have used it, i never had such issues.
It's the mpv shills who constantly open shill threads about "mpv, best player in the world" and shit like this, where they larp about VLC being shit.
This is autism pure. Just look at OP and you know what i mean.
why in the hell u shill about mpv? you must be in neaderthal phase of evolution to use mpv. mpv doesnt switch between mono and stereo and many tv shows need the stereo mode instead of the original WTF people
I use vlc and /g/remlins can go fuck themselves.
I would be fine with vlc if it didn't shit itself anytime I try to play a bluray or dvd iso.
Are you also simultaneously trying to play a game or something? I can run blu-ray in my dogshit laptop with minimal issues.
Different user, but compared to the other options available, VLC is shit in comparison. VLC is fine for the average/below average user though.
Why would you lie? It can to switch between mono and stereo. Do you know mpv uses ffmpeg? Do you even know what ffmpeg is capable of? It's always the tech illiterates spewing bullshit about things they don't understand.
I convert my kinos into MPEG-4 format so I can watch them on my psp
The way Nolan intended
Kek. VLC is still good though.
that's bullshit. How can a player that is playing all imaginable video files, never lags, never freezes be a shitty player, while most other players don't even play half the formats VLC does?
Explain yourself.
USB stick plugged into Samsung TV.
yup, mpc-hc it is. been working fine. i didn't like the feel of vlc so i started using the mpc-hc instead.
>never lags, never freezes
Not true. There are numerous reports of this by non trolls. It's on legit forums.
>other players don't even play half the formats
Also not true.
If you looked at mpvs manual and are able to comprehend you should see why mpv is better. Even an mpv dev is working on a mpv library to be used in vlc.
mpv.io
github.com
vlc
mpv with no gui. Can't live without that MPlayer based keyboard interface and command-line options. It's like having a 101 button remote control, I have a second keyboard on my couch just for it. The way I have it set up, I open the video from my file manager and it automatically fullscreens on my telly instead of my monitor.
VLC with the compressor enabled since the dialogue in every god damn movie is too quiet and the action too loud.
>not using ffmpeg to play videos
Pffff
TV: Kodi with jellyfin backend
PC: MPV
If I'm out of the house, jellyfin web.
I have a filter I toggle with the "a" key in mpv. It's pretty cool because you can tweak it quite a bit
a af toggle lavfi=[dynaudnorm=f=200:g=5:r=0.1] #normalize audio
