Eraserhead

elephant man and eraserhead are 10/10. everything else is shit.

Blue Velvet was the high water mark and the tide has been receding ever since

1. Mulholland Dr.
2. Blue Velvet
3. Twin Peaks
4. Lost Highway
5. Eraserhead
[power gap]
6. INLAND EMPIRE
7. Wild at Heart
8. The Elephant Man
9. The Straight Story

9001. Dune

his book room to dream, mostly for the stories he tells about his interactions with his neighbor marlon brando

Inland Empire.

This guy lunches.

How have I not seen this?

Thread by thread, watching all the butthurt
Plebs distress, cutting out the story snip by snip
Making sure the big cheek girl sings nicely
It's the perfect color, black and white
Always gotta keep the sluggish pacing
Making sure his head's correctly eraasing
I'm filming Eraserhead!

Frame by frame, fussing on the details
Shaved eyebrows, don't you know that spookiness is highbrow?
Metaphors for film threads to inspire
Even though the plot's what THEY desire
Gotta mind those intimate details
Even though producers just want sales
And, I just made Lost Highway!

Filmmaking's easy!
For Wild at Heart, Nicholas Cage!
Inland Emp, something creepy
Blend color and form
Do you think this scene's RAPEY?

Something nice, perhaps quite disturbing
Bag over his eyes, couldn't HE just simply DIE?
Making sure it he breathes when he goes to sleep
Don't forget some horror in his dreams
Even though it ranks low with the die hards
It's the most loved by the Oscars!
I'm filming Elephant Man!

Cut the plot, snip by snip
Add some fog, plus some crips
Thread by thread, plebs and plebs
Film by film, always pissed
And that's The Art of the Lynch!

FIRE WALK WITH ME, INLAND EMPIRE, ERASERHEAD

The Straight Story. Or Twin Peaks as a whole.

Attached: straightstorymedium.png (2298x975, 3.46M)

Plebs the lot of ya
Straight Story > Fire Walk With Me > Lost Highway > Twin Peaks s3 > Blue Velvet > Eraserhead > Mulholland Dr > Elephant Man > Dune

Ain't seen Inland yet.

Lost Highway. We've been over this many, many times.

You have good taste, but why do you have to go full retarded contrarian and put SS first? Everything else is a solid ranking, but nobody actually thinks Straight Story is anything resembling Lynch at his best. It's not even a Lynch film; it's just a decent film that happened to be directed by Lynch as a favor to his wife.

Watched this just last night. Unbelievably good.

Well, I know for sure Lost Highway is better than Mullholland Drive. The dream sequences are more meaningful.

Lost Highway.

Straight Story is fucking great.

I can tell you're not someone to listen to since he married that woman in 2007 so she wasn't his wife

>no Barneyfag after an hour
>Barneyfag doesn't post as often as the dullest franchise guy

>love watching film noir with Norm
>continue to fail to get him to watch Lost Highway, your favorite movie
>"it's too weird"
>Lynch himself says it's a film noir

Based.

Mulholland Drive

>long time partner eventually convinced lynch to settle down
Yeah, you're kind of proving my point. Neither thing was his style.

I'd say unlike Dune, Straight Story is in many ways very much a David Lynch movie. Maybe not narratively but definitely stylistically.

All I care about is whether or not their immediate divorce was related to Lynch's decision to subsequently and immediately edit the remainder of FWWM's 4-hour cut himself, instead of her (the original editor who chopped our 01:40:00)

How does he get his hair that way? What products are used?

Blue Velvet

If Elephant Man was released today you'd call it Oscar bait and you wouldn't be wrong.
Elephant Man is a great movie but it's super safe. I imagine any decent director could achieve what Lynch did with Elephant Man if they were to tackle the same subject.

When that old geezer woops like an Injun and says hallelujah he's greeting The Arm with his noise and then making the noise of his own house.

Reminder that Lynch has a fucking cult
Raped his daughter
Killed jack nance and his wife
Responsible for the deaths of many twin peaks actors that died recently because they knew too much
Raped Amber Tamblyn (which is why she's such a psycho nowadays)
Ruined Robert Blake's life.
Started this whole weinstein thing. He's friends with Ashley Judd who was one of the first who started this whole thing....Laura Dern, another one of his cult member and a bitch, his biggest plant in the industry now (was in the fucking biggest movie of the year) Charlyne Yi...the list goes fucking on. Lynch is a fucking devil.
His movies includes the evil people as well...Jeremy R Lindholm fucking murdered his girlfriend, robert knepper was recently accused of rape and shit, probably because he dared to criticize lynch in one his orgies. Jim Belushi, who fucking killed his brother and is a vocal supporter of Roman Polanski (Lynch too btw)

Lynch is the greatest conman and the devil of hollywood. All his movies are fucking biopics of his own doings.

Where is the proof?

FWWM > The Return > Mulholland Drive > Lost Highway > Inland Empire > Twin Peaks > Wild at Heart > Eraserhead = The Straight Story > Blue Velvet > The Elephant Man > Dune

He never reedited FWWM, he deliberately released The Missing Pieces as a seperate thing.

Because she wanted to re-edit FWWM. He taught her a lesson. Fired her as editor, fired her as wife, did it himself.

Dune

Lynch is the most alpha filmmaker. In his films roasties get BTFO senseless. No mercy, zero care about political correctness. He writese females just like he knows them, greedy sluts who would do anything for fame and money, backstabbing cunts. And he didn't even get metooed because he probably has lots of embarrassing tapes of all of them.

Rabbits faggots

Eraserhead is pretentious slop and you know it

or you are too demented for expressionism

Dune is fantastic, Eraserhead is pretty good, everything is shitty, at least that I've seen. He has some great technical skills, but his style is pretty boring generally

>Dune is fantastic
Absolute trash, disowned by Lynch himself and swore to never make this kind of film ever again

I dont care if he disowned it, he was wrong to do it

Fire Walk With Me, INLAND EMPIRE, Twin Peaks S3

Attached: 1495508776458.png (1280x738, 41K)

Lost Highway > Eraserhead = Mulholland Drive > Twin Peaks 3 > Blue Velvet = Inland Empire > FWWM = Twin Peaks 1 and 2 > Wild At Heart > Elephant Man > Straight Story
and I still like Straight Story alot

Lost Highway = FWWM > Twin Peaks > Mulholland Drive > Blue Velvet = Eraserhead > Dune
Lost Highway is honestly one of my favorite movies in general. It's a feel-bad movie in the best way. I also like Mulholland Drive even though you start to see the seams on repeat viewings.

ultimate pleb

Lost Highway is hands down most entertaining, frightening and clever one from the bunch. Having actor playing feeling (jealous) as the main antagonist is brilliant idea.

The return

youtube.com/watch?v=3SpG7C4vHZQ

Horribly aged. In fact even 20 years ago, it already looked super dated

Twin Peaks

i really liked the netflix doco on lynch, makes me appreciate eraserhead a lot more

it is not the sort of thing that can be dated, because it is not spectacle, it is formation
