What exactly are they going to be looting? Virtually all of the wealth lies in the property itself, and there's no point in keeping large amounts of cash hiding. Aside from that you have maybe jewelery, which is a huge pain to pawn and loses almost most of its value if you smelt it down for gold.

Plus the rich in this world wouldn't be as stupid as to keep valuable assets like that around all the time, and invest in heavy protective like safes that would take too much time and effort to crack. Not to mention as shown in the first film, they'd also barricade their homes with ballistic shields and security features.

The daughters would murder the parents a significant portion of the time. Being the child of a wealthy person does not mean that you're also a wealthy person.

Well I think a big problem is that many crimes other than murder, stealing and rape involve possession after and would eventually be illegal.

Like the day of the purge you can buy, sell, possess and indulge in things like illegal drugs or maybe something like cp but the day after you can no longer be in possession or be distributing said things. If you tried to do some shady business deal the day of the purge like money laundering or fraud im sure it wouldn’t work out because it would have to take place and be executed the day of the purge when most business transactions can take weeks or months.

A single day really limits what illegal things you can do.

As stated something like that would probably not be possible simply because they wouldn’t be able to use said document the day of the purge. That is assuming there aren’t laws in place that would nullify said transactions. You certainly could extort someone for various things like cash or goods but trying to force a legal document and have it be valid the day after is a gray area.

Idea for a purge movie: Family wants to avoid the purge so they plan on leaving the country to go to Mexico a few days before the purge. They pack into their RV (think National Lampoon's Vacation) but along the way they find the highway bridges were destroyed by a group of thugs intent on killing them. Desperate to get out of the country before the purge starts, they have to fight their way through the desert and over the border wall and into the safe country of Mexico.

Now to avoid being too political n shit, they're killed by cartel members soon after hopping the wall.

That's what the latter films are about, it just becomes a vehicle for ridding the poor.

Gives him a withering glare and says "I'll see you in class on Monday..."
