I rewatched the S2 finale of Dark 4 times because each viewing I was piss drunk and forgot everything by the morning. I usually am drinking when I watch anything really though, I spend my free time killing cold ones and doing whatever I feel that evening.

I was drunk as shit during a screening of the Martian, meant I was super amazed by everything and had a great time with all my buds chatting shit about the film. I went out to the loo during the scene near the end where he gets into space and blew my mind trying to understand my mate's explanation of how it happened.
Not sure it was as great an experience for everyone else in the theatre listening to me prattle on

Had shitloads of fun, but once it gets to the point of looking forward to getting shitfaced by myself and not hanging out with my friends to do so, it’s time to stop. It’s time to stop when you neglect your hobbies and relationships. Anyway I used to love watching horror movies while getting sloshed. Especially when my girlfriend wasn’t around. Love that feeling of getting so drunk you act like a meth tweaker. Once got fucked up listening to music in the garage, saw a can of white paint, and smeared it all over my naked body. Good times. Not something I plan on doing in my 30s.

Drinking is for movies that you know aren't meant to be deep but are older than modern movies. Shit like 00s blockbusters/comedies, Rocky movies, Annihilation, all great drinking movies. Or watch abstract documentaries like Koyaanisqatsi or Samsara if you want to zone out like hell and enjoy it without thinking about your own boredom at their abstraction.
