Finally, there’s very little substance to gladiator when you think about it, it’s pleb bait because it has amazing performances and set designs etc. GREAT blockbuster but hardly an historical epic
Kingdom of Heaven(Roadshow directors cut obviously) is 10 times better albeit an entirely different historical era and 100 years from now will still be talked about in the same breath as Ben Hur and Lawrence of Arabia while Gladiator is ranked alongside movies such as Troy
