You know what, it wasn't the worst visual aspect of the film. She's cute like a kitten. Maybe it's my anime-addled brain, but she looks okay after a few minutes.
My biggest gripe visually is that the city feels small. So very very small.

Yes, a lot of the city shots are filmed on one corner of the set. Based corner cutting Rob Rod strikes again. Still enjoyed the cute main character and the action though.

It looks bad in trailers but one or two scenes into the movie you immediately get why they did it, RLM nailed it with the Avatar review and the "Disney eyes". She looks cute and innocent, it endears you to the character right away.
And Iron City really doesn't seem that bad, it's by far the cleanest and most livable post-apocalyptic city I've seen in any fiction. It honestly looks better than the vast majority of cities in real life right now, like a sanitized version of some Brazilian shithole you might see at Epcot.

The fight scenes had to be CGI anyway, so making her 100% CGI eliminates the issue a lot of films have of the character looking noticeably different in cobversations and fights.
