Yikes, that was close. Will it stay fresh or is this temporary?

It will obviously shoot up to 95% because Disney pays off critics no way any Disney movie could get under 80%
*Armond White enters the chat*
>It's real
Didn't Ant Man get close to negative (60's) before enough positive critics came in to bump it up to the 80's?
I could see the mouse squad of critics coming in now to bump the score up just enough so it stays positive.
it's already the result of 114 reviews
NOT SO FAST
I can't wait until they make a 45% movie 'fresh'.
>59% of critics gave it a positive score
>Aggregated score of 6.42/10
Rotten Tomatoes was a mistake.
Scar kills Mufasa. Hyenas kill Scar.
it is. and before other anons start jumping on me, I know the number isn't supposed to be the score. I just hate how simplified it is. fucking normies and their attention spans
Seriously, considering these reviewers shilled for Captain Marvel and any shit that is filled with women and fags,th em ovie might actually be good. It seems it has triggered a lot of people
>You come to this film wanting to enjoy it because of it's visuals but where is it's humor ? Oh that!s right ! It barely has any !
There are people who went to see this and complained about the lack fo humor. CAN U BELIEVE IT?
Don't support Disney for the sake of being a contrarian.
Twitter poll I made
Disney definitely lost a third of their audience
This isn't the 90s anymore. You can't impress people with just realism.
yes
expect it to have 500 reviews

>“The first thing to understand about “The Lion King” is that it isn’t in any way about lions, or any other animal species. As in every fable, a variety of cute and cuddly figures stand in for human societal organizations. Mapping our internalized social hierarchies onto the pristine and “neutral” world of the animal kingdom renders these power dynamics natural, common-sense and desirable. But by using predator-prey relationships to allegorize human power, the film almost inevitably incorporates the white supremacist’s worldview, one in which some groups of people are inherently superior to others.”

This is a real article by the Washington Post, reddits most trusted news source.
As much as i'm happy to see critics shitting on this blatant cash grab... why do I feel like they did so not because it is a shitty cash grab, but because its one that didn't espouse the correct political view?
dude it doesn´t matter at this point.
aladdin also got a rotten rating + several weeks of people making fun of the bad lucking cgi will smith online and it still made 1 billion.
at this point disney somehow managed to brainwash normies into watching all their shitty soulless remakes and sequels
It's honestly kind of scary just how hypnotized people are towards Disney. They treat it like a damn religion.
who cares as long as its disney getting the shit thrown at them, im fine with it
despite what atheist tell you. people need Religion to be happy.
the destruction of Christian family in the west by liberals and the media has only lead to people adopting nerd culture and social justice as their new religion.
that is also why npcs get so angry these days if you make fun of their favorite franchise.
for them this is literally blaspheme.
if you don´t like modern star wars you aren´t just a guy with a diffrent opinions. you are literally evil in their eyes
Is he saying only white people have hierarchy?
disney mom's and shills alike are already threatening those critics' lives
People don't necessarily need religion, they need something they can believe in, be it god, great leader, sports team or a company that can do no wrong.
Most of us are wired to look for something that is bigger than us, as in the past that kept us alive.

How delusional are you?
no, ant-man is at 83%, it was never close to having a negative score. the lion king is finished.
The social sciences were a mistake
>why do I feel like they did so not because it is a shitty cash grab, but because its one that didn't espouse the correct political view?
It's not "correct" political views it's even complaining about, it says that any kind of story that depicts basic power hierarchies that are made out to be desirable must be white supremacy
>But by using predator-prey relationships to allegorize human power, the film almost inevitably incorporates the white supremacist’s worldview, one in which some groups of people are inherently superior to others
The reach of the century. By god do humanities majors love to use popular media as a framework for their own ideologies. It's like they can't help themselves.
Really? Because I remember it got down into the 60's before bouncing back up. It was fairly early on though (20-ish reviews maybe?) so perhaps that's why?
Still I don't put anything past the house of maux.
I don't get it
>Mental gymnastics just to hate on cpt marvel
Yikes
People being inherently better at things than other people bad
When did all reviewers become cool wine aunt bloggers?
a 20 review sample is nothing compared to the final number of 300. they cannot buy 200 reviews to compensate for 10 bad ones.
lots of disney movies tank critically each year. the lion king is one of them. disney can't do shit to save its critical reception at this point and frankly, if it doesn't affect the box office they won't care. we'll see how that goes next week.
