>The Minds Behind The Terror >Featuring Dan Simmons, David Kajganich and Soo Hugh, with Adam Nagaitis as a guest in episodes 2-4 podbay.fm/show/1370641215
Sell it with the atmosphere. Say it's like being there, in a frozen wasteland or a crumbling soviet power plant. And sell them the blessed acting of based Harris.
Andrew Cooper
Everyone I showed the 2 shows to liked it naturally except my bf who's too scared but is still ok with watching The Terror at a snail's pace
Does anyone else sympathize with Sir John? He cares deeply for his men, and his actions show that. Even if some think he is a moron for not following Crozier's advice about the rescue party, we see that it would not have made any difference in their chances for survival. For those that think he bullied Francis by not letting him marry his niece because he was Irish, remember that Sir John knows he's a raging alcoholic. Would anyone let a beloved family member marry an alcoholic? He even made it about Francis' irishness so that his reason for refusal would not be a condemnation of his character. His only crime appeared to be dropping an eski down a fire hole
Juan Price
Why wouldn't you? I have no bad feelings towards him whatsoever
Anthony Gray
i wonder how he avoided getting JUSTed like the rest of the crew. he looked so clean and neat right up until the end. maybe regular semen ingestion has anti-scurvy properties
Brayden Adams
Because Hickey is Satan
Benjamin Rogers
Idk everyone who I talk to in person who saw the show doesn't like him. They think that Crozier is the most rational man on the expedition because they know how it ends historically with everyone dead. I guess my friends made me falsely think that he was widely regarded as a bad dude
Bentley Lee
I took it out from the library just so I can post the Hickey sex scenes when no-one else would
I've been reading The Terror and it's even bleaker than the show, if such a thing were possible.
Just read the part where Harry Peglar (pic related) was found dead, his sailing party ambushed and killed by the Tuunbaq. But where the others had been eaten and dragged under the water, Peglar swam to safety and seemingly died of hypothermia, away from the beast... until Crozier notes that he was surrounded by giant footprints, concluding that the beast had watched Peglar freeze to death, rather than ending him quickly.
this is when hickey gets called out on all his bullshit
Carter Adams
Imperialist propaganda BTFO by one of the top nuclear scientists in the country who worked in Chernobyl and consulted Fukushima. Legasov never lied, ton of inaccuracies, dude was disgusted with the portrayal of the event. Anglo subhumans will have to wait for subs to get blown the fuck out youtube.com/watch?v=gC9Cr8l7AsA >b-b-b-b-but he's lying it's the Hollywood propaganda that's true That's what you're conditioned to think aren't you, you dirty imperialist pig
Show me all the shows about japanese c-camp / supernatural?
Nolan Rogers
Nobody cares about japs or jews
Austin Martinez
That's why the last samurai bombed so hard, huh?
Bentley Kelly
Yeah, no one obsesses over japanese culture. That's a foreign concept to us in the west.
Nathaniel Howard
I'm a weeb who's interested in Japanese history, but there's something with Season 2 that doesn't click with me. Maybe if the Japanese were the bad guys, I would watch, idk.
The retarded girl subplot at the end was kind of hot
James Foster
Whatever you say, Mr. Goldberg
Noah Rodriguez
irl, they all died. The ridiculous make-belie ending doesn't count.
Jonathan Gutierrez
Tell them it’s not great but not terrible
David Allen
That's what the controller says.
Jose Smith
>"Inuit accounts of meeting with surviving members of the Franklin Expedition describe meeting two men who spoke Inuit; the two men where named "Aglooka" (possibly Crozier), and the other "Doktook," the latter possibly an Inuit attempt at "Doctor." McDonald spoke Inuit, which suggests McDonald was alive long after the ships were abandoned."
There's a possibility some of them survived and decided to live with the inuits.
Jack Jones
Obviously they all died but the ending wasn't ridiculous. It was a great fucking ending.
I watched Chernobyl for like the 10th time and Red October while I play as the Soviet Union in Hearts of Iron 4. What are some other Soviet kinos I can watch while I play?
Luis Hall
Thanks for the video man. Good stuff. You got more like that?
Blake James
He deserved it. I only wish it was murder instead of pussy suicide.
Levi Sanders
come and see (1989)
Michael Torres
Show them the QTs, and they will come.
Austin Jenkins
Pic related was actually inspired by what Charles Dickens said about the expedition:
>"Charles Dickens captured the racist sentiment of the time when he wrote in his magazine Household Words, "No man can, with any show of reason, undertake to affirm that this sad remnant of Franklin's gallant band were not set upon and slain by the Esquimaux themselves … We believe every savage to be in his heart covetous, treacherous, and cruel."
Yes, but only partially. The track that played during that scene hasn't been released and it doesn't look like it will release unless maybe with the blu-ray.
Benjamin Richardson
There may have been more that we didn't see that were there for accuracy. If I'm not mistaken, I think any specialty had an insignia. Since Collins was the diver he had one of the brass helmet. Maybe the ice masters had one.
I wish I could into Chernobyl ff but it feels a bit wrong for me. I even read some Band of Brothers and the Pacific fics back then I've watched them but Chernobyl is just no. Akimov and Toptunov are still cute though :3
Weird how Chernobyl is considered sacred territory, whereas everything else like The Pacific, Terror, even Generation Kill is fair game. What is it about Chernobyl that makes shipping feel so wrong?
Carson Stewart
Because these are people who lived less than one generation ago and some are still living today. I think shipping Terror characters is kind of fucked too but it's not like their grandkids are going to have to go to school and explain why the fuck there's porn of their granddads on the internet.
Adam Jenkins
Because it is based on real people on one of the worst diasters ever that killed thousands of people.
I would fall to my knees and worship Immortal Martyr Holy Legasov
Ryder Ward
Tell him they did everything right.
Carter Evans
Idk. For me, in other cases I can separate fictional characters and real people but with Chernobyl it doesn't work. All the suffering and sacrifice they went through makes them almost martyrs and thus, as you said, sacred, even as fictional characters
Levi Kelly
Because it was literally a system based on doing everything backwards. But don't worry: the US is becoming a new Soyuz, with airhead college graduates and unelected bureaucrats controlling every decision.
Yuvchenko was a big guy He was also dehydrated due drinking on the job, which meant he had less water in his system to irradiate him. He suffered life long illness though, so he didn't get away scot-free
favorite chapter was goodsir, fitzjames and i think des voeux finding the mauled corpses in the boiler/machine room and then following the path of carnage through the dark ship as it fills with smoke - super spooky
Leo Richardson
Does your mom happen to be a lesbian?
Cooper Price
>Russians are so bad at Chernobyl that they are rewriting it to blame the CIA
yes, both of them care from crozier a great deal so there's some sorta bond of sorts over that even though they are ranks apart. they don't even say much of anything to each other over the entire show but this scene says a lot - the whole gay for each other is fan fiction but it's based on them at least having trust in the other to do what is right for the captain
Luke Martin
kek
Zachary Mitchell
Isn't another beard model that would be closer to hickey's ? I never made a male character in dark souls 3 so I don't know What build do you plan on using ?
Ayden Roberts
That beard looks too good to be Hickies
Kayden Young
Hair is too red. Go more blond.
Carson Garcia
there was a real pair of them in the expedition’s museum exhibit
Jayden Lopez
I'm thinking a mix of dex, int and luck. Mound-makers covenant of course. And if there's a better beard model I couldn't find it.
