The only piece of Star Trek I have ever seen in my life was Wrath of Khan as a child, and I only remember it because that mirror scene at the beginning scared the shit out of me.
What should I watch if I want to get into Star Trek?

Here you go fren
perfect, thanks user
>Voyager
>awful
That is the only one that is a actually good. The one with that bald prick, blind negro and autistic robot is boring as fuck,
You calling a robot autistic is just meme diarrhea. You're better than this user.
this is absolutely retarded. TOS isnt camp unless youre sone brainlet zoomer
TOS and TOS animated are the only ones worth watching IMO. TNG is overrated 80s progressivism crap. Dawn of SJW:The Show
I love me some tos but it's campy as fuck. Ffs it was made in the 60s it's totally understandable it doesn't take anything away.
Is this the /trek/ thread?
New poster for the 3rd season of The Orville.
You're not going to watch original series of Star Trek and online web series Star Trek Continues then just watch Star Trek : Next Generation starting with Klingon season 2 episode 'A Matter Of Honor' and finish on Klingon season 6 episode 'Redemption II' followed by movie Generations.
Why do TV aliens have to have the fucking ridges on their heads? Looks dumb af.
The Original Series
>Pulpy Science Fiction Shorts
This is classic science fiction, like the ones you'd read in the old anthologies and magazines you could pick up back in the day. In retrospective they're kind of jewish, but usually not terribly bad and almost always entertaining. Each episode stands on its own and only a few things make more than one appearance. I imagine that watching this as a kid must have been a blast, not as great as reading even genre fiction, but still, pretty great. You have a pretty charismatic trio and everything. Zoomers should probably not bother with this shit as it won't feel very fresh to them and it hasn't aged well, but it could be watched ironically I guess.
The Next Generation
>West Coast Liberals in Space
According to reddit this was some kind of peak. In boredom maybe. The imagination and tone of the previous series is more or less gone here. Replaced with the foundation of the sanfran liberal mindset. All the characters are bland as fuck, the setting is now bland as fuck and no fun is allowed. No greek gods and no brains get stolen. Everyone is emasculated and effeminate. This is one of the most generic shows ever produced, it's blander than cardboard. Some rare episodes are good, but most of the time it's the kind of shit you watch when you've got literally nothing else going on. And the stuff that is good they eventually run into the ground with follow up epiosdes.
Deep Space Nine
>It's not Babylon 5, we swear!
Poor man's Babylon 5, but even that is superior to TNG in many ways. The characters are stronger, better written and they attempted big arcs instead of the completely episode based stuff they've done before which had a two parter at most. It's also got a literal space jew. But really, you'd be much better off just watcing B5.
Voyager
>Now with tits!
Star Trek goes femdom/feminist. Going full cuckmode we get a crew full of stronk womyn. It's awful. The premise is sort of interesting, as it was with DS9, but as usual that's squandered. There's no real difference between the space anomaly of the week we saw in TNG and the stuff we see in VOY. But unlike TNG this also has hot women, 7 of 9, in particularl. So I'd rank it higher. But other than the female focus it's really just a rehash of TNG. There's barely any big arcs, the premise almost never becomes relevant it's very heavy handed with the feminist stuff.
Enterprise
>See you in space, cowboy.
So they wanted to do some prequelkino tier stuff here, ditching the feminism in the process. I'd say that this show has the best Star Trek has to offer. It's not as aged as TOS and it's like a best of reel of the past series with the cancer removed. It's still sort of pozzed, but it's not nearly as bad as the other post-TOS shows. So you'd maybe think this would be a no brainer as the best show. Alas it's not, because they fucked up the prequel stuff with time travel bullshit instantly. Even so it's miles ahead of VOY and TNG, maybe DS9 depending on your preferences.
STD
>Kill whitey
Nuff said
Enterprise is better than people give it credit for. Problem is people haven't watched it since it came out and now just use the internet to tell them what they like.
This but Voyager
Originally it was to save $. Orville does it as an homage.
>mirror scene at the beginning
What scene are you talking about? The one in Spock's quarters?
start chronologically not by release date and also start with the one with the best pits
>nemesis
>terrible
>science fiction series
>uses FTL travel
Might as well add some magic pixies and wizards while they’re at it.
Lol, no. I used to like Voyager when I saw it originally, but that's probably because I was like 11 when it premiered. Watched it all from beginning to end as an adult a couple of years ago and that shit is fuckin' certified garbaggio. What's worse is that the "best" episodes (I use the term loosely) are often alternate reality/time shenanigan stuff so as not to upset the status quo, and even then they're rarely more than "decent" and will just make you mad that the show and characters couldn't just be written more consistently well.
Can confirm. Never watched Enterprise originally because I lost interest in Star Trek when I entered my edgy high school years, but I heard enough bad things about it to put me off. Finally sat through it all last year and was pleasantly surprised. It takes a bit to find its footing, and has a few stinkers, but overall it ranges from decent to fantastic, especially season 3. Season 3 of Enterprise is what the entirety of Voyager wishes it were.
Yes, that would be the "fiction" half of "science fiction" you fucking feeb.
>He doesn't know how warp drives work
Friendly reminder all star trek fans are pedos
Yeah 3 and 4 of Enterprise are among best Trek has to offer.
Voyager was the best series hands down.
Anyone who disagrees is a filthy Romulan.
Can confirm. Watching DS9 and penetrating a 13-year-old as we speak.
All Trek shows are brilliant. There is no weak link, not even Discovery.
Yes I'm a massive fanboy.
Remember when Harry Kim was actually an alien, but not really?
>Harry Kim
Which one?
The one that wasn't sucked into space. Before he was duplicated again by the goo aliens.
I just want an orgy with Uhura, Janice, 7of9, Janeway, Beverly...
Is that too much to ask??!!
Where is discovery
It's a scene of Picard standing in front of a mirror and there's a jumpscares with some shit in his face, I think it was spikes or something. Like I said, I saw it when I was 8 or 9 or something.
I'm not even sure if it was the Wrath of Khan or if I confuse the names. The one I saw was the one with the picard mirror scene at the beginning.
Ok the collage might be shit but I already took advice and downloaded the first season of next generation. Gonna watch it later.
It was made before Discovery, and even if it wasn't, Discovery isn't Star Trek.
star trek is pretty rad
And the new movies are?
Why the fuck is it in 2019 when you air a show in HD do you not realise a blu ray but will a DVD?
Picard isn't even in Wrath of Khan my dude
>Picard
>spock
Those replies are all contrarian opinions
That's First Contact
That’s not a collage. What the fuck do you faggots think a collage is?
For some weird reason FOX doesn't want to release its shows on bluray.
STD is not Star Trek.
Fuck off, VF. I fucking hate you so much.
kys faggot
you're gay and your charts are gay
>decide to become a trekkie
>watch one and a half episodes of TOS
>give up
Depends on the episode.
Plus you have to have the right mindset to watch a 53 year old, dated show.
I’d rather watch “dated” TOS than any modern programming.
>tfw Bash and VF will never tie you up and make you watch their lesbian lovemaking while periodically punching you in the balls and laughing at your pathetic cock
Why even live bros?
t h r e a d c u l t u r e
Remember when Harry married Tom's daughter and his son was actually his daughter?
