Cranston has this super focused energy that has a subtext that screams im going to go fucking insane any minute now even when on a surface level he appears to be talking very calmly. Aaron is a fabulous actor and does the very distraught, defeated, "why am i still alive?" persona very well. i think just the way the characters are designed cranston gets to flex his acting chops more
