This episode is when South Park jumped the shark for me.
Stop reminding me that this show still exists. It's downfall has been worse than the Simpsons.
What happened?
DEY TOOK HER
I am not 13 or homosexual so stopped watching after the season 9 episode "Bloody Mary"
how did those two SJW ruin the chink character who was the best in the show?
he's a white man with multiple personality disorder now
Retconned him into having always actually been a white man living a double life like Norman Bates in Psycho. The episode's also a riff on Paranormal Activity as I recall.
It's hilarious how after all these years that between the big 3 adult cartoons Family Guy is the one that remained most consistent in quality and is now superior to both Shit Park and Shitsons.
>Family Guy is the one that remained most consistent in quality
t. Cuck Macfarlane
Have you watched it lately? They have completely given up. Every other joke us a fourth wall breaker. Not that I mind or anything. Love it for the shitshow it is.
it's true. pick any episode of south park, simpsons and family guy from 2018 and the family guy episode will be the best one, guaranteed.
god damn shitty cunts
cant believe it
I'M NOT EVEN GONNA SWAT DAT FRY
yes, which is why I said that. I can still laugh at family guy jokes and gags. I haven't laughed at a simpsons episode in years and I haven't managed to be able sit through an entire south park episode in even longer. south park is easily the worst of the 3 now
Family Guy was never really trying to be anything more than a series of cutaway jokes about current events, turns out that's a pretty reliable formula. You enjoy it for what it is.
What a completely unfunny and retarded twist
as someone who was a huge fan of SP and Simpsons, it's sad that I'd rather watch new episodes of Family Guy instead of either show now. they're just so fucking bad
you mean s15e06 City Sushi?
This was bullshit. Cartman's dad being retconned to being Scott Tenorman's dad was the most bullshit
Why do you think so?
I hate retcons, and that fucks up two separate classic episodes, Scott Tenorman Must Die and Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut.
So it’s just them getting rid of an “offensive” character? I’m so glad I don’t watch this dogshit anymore.
idk, it still has some good episodes sometimes
I kind of liked the Coon 4 parter.
You mean American Dad.
The SW shows completely ruined FG for me. They were so fucking boring.
Yeah, it doesn't even make sense because there's been so many identical asian characters on the show.
True but him getting this fucked is on brand.
Like who?
But Cartman's Mom being his Dad is maybe the best gag the show ever did
Family Guy is pretty much just a sketch show of random gags with a paper thin plot just so it can legally be called a 'sitcom'. It basically means it will never be truly 'great' but it's incredibly easy to watch.

South Park should have been an Adult Swim show, it would have gone in a better direction and would have mercifully died years ago
Bullshit, they jumped the shark last season. But South Park is actually the one show I have some hope in, I think there's a chance they might realize what went wrong lately and make a deep cut. Some batshit insane thing happening, and things going back to normal. Self contained plots every episode, at least. Maybe even back to normal regarding the characters.
Really? I thought it was pretty juvenile and basic.
>hurr your mom is also your dad
Kind of shit a 4th grader would say
So one off characters. I thought you were talking about regulars
South Park jumped the shark when it did a 25-minute long commercial for Blizzard Entertainment.
That was why it was funny. That shit was built up so much, during South Park's peak popularity and through a two part episode. Only to end with a hermaphrodite joke non-answer to the giant question. I don't even understand why the retcon is funny besides "LOL CARTMAN BTFO". Either way it's shitty for Cartman though
That's a classic episode.
But all other asians on the show are exactly the same as Tuong Lu Kim.
The Japanese Dolphin episode, Bloody Mary karate instructor
I'd rather watch American Dad
South Park has been going on for over twenty years now. There is nothing left to tell. And apparently the production is quite stressful. They churn out an entire season in a matter of weeks. Why haven't they moved onto anything else? Are they forced by some contract?
They say it's comfy and basically easier than doing anything else. Really stressful for the months it airs but then they get to do nothing at all
trey and matt once said in an interview that they don't really give a shit as long as it makes them money iirc
it’s funny but I completely agree. i grew up on SP and thought Family Guy was for NPCs who like easy humor, but SP sold out to the NPC and SJW crowd 4-5 years ago and now Family Guy is probably more contrarian in its humor. I much prefer Family Guy now even though I will still watch SP episodes when they come out, just not really enjoy them like I did in the old days
>Are they forced by some contract?
Yes and no. Seth MacFarlane is in a similar bind. When people like Trey, Matt, Seth, etc. pitch their ideas to networks, they practically sell their soul to them. In exchange for the shot at the big time, they accept that they're possibly in for a lifelong deal.
Even if they are technically not legally obliged to, they feel that they must continue making the shows for as long as the network wants them to, because it's the network which made them rich and successful. It's a social and moral obligation, and there's probably a lot of heavy leaning on them from powerful executives.
Checked and agreed.
Matt and Trey lost their edge and took their finger off the pulse of what was counter culture
happens to most people who move to LA, credit to them they held out for longer than most
This was before the whole SJW thing you fucking retarded cat
can't anything be a deconstruction without you fucking faggots crying about it
>getting rid of an “offensive” character
Except they don't. At the end of the episode they let him go on believing he's chinese because by that point there are no other asian restaurants in town.
>Lost their edge
WAAAAH WHY DON"T THEY AGREE WITH MY FASHY GEN Z POLITICS
If the sole reason you watch South Park was them to "Push the envelope" just for the sake of it, then you never liked south park in the first place.
Tell me how exactly Trey and Matt sell out to the "SJWs"? Because it doesn't recite paragraphs from Stormfront?
>Season 1: fresh, new, exciting
>Season 2: gaining speed
>Season 3-8: Golden Years
>Season 9-15: tapering off
>Season 16-present: dog shit
they make fun of orange man
boo fuckin hoo
lol no
Where’s all the poo and period jokes? Where is any edgy joke at all?
that’s what they were good at
I said nothing about sjws you dumb idpoletarian
>rip off
It's called a parody.
they make fun of grey lady
>people shouldn't make fun of big ego incompetent retards in positions of power
what happened to this place?
it was way before that user
CONSERVATISM IS THE NEW PUNK ROCK
IF U MAKE FUN OF DONALD TRUMP, THE REAL PUNK ROCKER, THEN I WILL CRY
3 parter actually, the first coon ep was seasons before that.
The multi part eps are imo the better ones of late era south park. If it's not going to be as silly and funny as the early eps, at least get some good storylines going.
Black Friday trilogy was some of the best south park since the golden age.
sp is completely unwatchable now
just parody [current event] with sp characters with barely any actual jokes, also randy marsh
>to stay good a show should do always exactly the same
>for 20+ years
nigger that's a way to make sure it's going to be shit. At least they're trying to reinvent it a little.
Show me one scripted fiction show that has stayed fresh and good for 20 years.
They renewed for three more years after S18 or S19 iirc. They aren't bound by some long-term contract, but they have kept renewing it voluntarily.
randy episodes used to be the fucking best. now theres a randy subplot in every single episode and a full main plot every other episode and i just fucking cringe the whole time
electionfags need to be gassed THEN hanged
>Family Guy
That's not how you spell American Dad.
this is why I like the multi-parters. They get the best stories.
>6 tr*ps
absolutely blessed thread
is season 23 out
It's a deadbeat show now but I will check you.
Hopefully seth does the cartoon hell shit.
It'sThe principal and the Pauper equivalent
>Family Guy is the one that remained most consistent in quality
it remained consistently terrible
>and is now superior to both Shit Park and Shitsons.
the worst thing about this statement is that it's true
Family Guy is worse than Zombie Simpsons these days
family guy can be funny sometimes. zombie simpsons cannot be
>tfw finding out Wing is a real woman and actually got a career boost from South Park
Based and Redpilled
I want to fuck that cat!
Mmmm, the PUSSY of a PUSSY really gets me on....
*unbuckles belt*
based
It's almost like it's a show about a group off foul-mouthed 4th graders
Yeah, that's pretty much South Park
Hmmm
t. Andrew Wilkow
Jesus Christ that's dumb, when did they do that?
south park reflects too much on where the creators are now in their lives
Out of touch middle aged men?
it's not so much that they make fun of Trump.
it's that they immediately came out as Never-Trump from day one.
back when he actually had potential, when the rhetoric was so based. when Trump made you think "wow we could actually do this legally and with state power."
he was edgy contrarianism personified.
he WAS the South Park candidate.
yet Trey and Parker had Garrison!Trump look into the camera and say "don't vote for me."
after 20 years of posturing as counter-culture, they turned into establishment hacks.
Anyone got an episode or season number? Never saw this one, sounds fun
The Payday 2 webm of this episode is funny
It's not. It's terrible.
yeah basically
Same as IASIP, really.
It's funny how Matt and Trey hate pretty much everything pre Season 4. The more "elaborate" and complex they try and make the stories and characters, the worse it has gotten.
I miss the days of the stupid, wacky stories with the boys acting like boys and not super high IQ geniuses with intricate scheming.
Good thing I didn't call it a rip-off, huh?
It should've ended with this, honestly.
Satire is for everyone, and everyone can be mocked. That said if the reasons that you mock people are inconsistent or illogical it leaves a bad taste in people's mouths.
For example, define incompetent in your own words.
Not even close. Season 19 was only a few years ago and was great. And whatever contrarians might try to claim now, Yea Forums loved it at the time too.
Nah Trey and Matt were discovered by a webshort they made, they didn't really have to pitch anything. Also South Park is Comedy Centrals bread and butter as long as Matt and Trey want to keep churning them out Comedy Central will oblige.
People liked season 19 even though it was shit because it was making fun of SJWs.
The kids do not act like kids anymore
They're meant to be 10 years old
A lot of the humor came from the fact that they were 10 years old and didn't know jack shit
Now IF (and that's a big fucking IF) the show actually decides to let a plot actually involve the kids, then it will probably only involve one or two of the kids anyway, and they won't be acting like they're a kid
If they wanted to age up the kids THEY SHOULD HAVE FUCKING AGED THEM UP
Why do they hate those episodes? They're easily the best because of how ridicolous they are. The rainforest episode, the Worcester Sauce zombies, that Ice Man. That stuff was great, show urgently needs some of that goofiness again.
here you go
Simpsons suffers from the same problem, no one acts according to who they're supposed to be. Bart and Lisa act like small adults and Skinner acts like he's friends with the students instead of an out-of-touch hard ass principal.
S11E5
Lacking the attributes required to do the thing you're doing
Season 19 was complete shit and you're complete shit for liking it
I could've sworn that was canon ages ago. Didn't it happen in the episode with the Japanese restraunts?
